Always too long a wait. Last time I hung outside 5-10 mins. Fifteen mins after my scheduled appt., I was ushered into a wait room. I specifically looked at my watch & waited FIFTEEN mins, (30 mins past my appt time) & poked my head out to inquire how much longer. They did not know. I said that I could wait another 5 mins. After almost 10 mins we left, totaling 40 mins. I asked for my records, that I wouldnt be back, every time was a wait or an emergency. I wouldnt be writing this if it werent for the audacity of "Lisa" who typed on my records that after FIVE minutes of waiting in the exam room, I came out, which is an outright lie. I dont need attitude. Then she told me that whatever vet I go to there will be a wait. I disagree. When I made this appt., I expressed my concern about repeated wait time. They were extremely backed up so had plenty of time they could have had the courtesy to call me. I was there for a simple nail clipping, which did not even require the Dr. I will find another vet. I may have wait time, but half of theirs is welcome, and good customer service matters. Many times upon calling, I am told "please hold", they dont even ask if I am able to hold. My customer service ethics differ. Last time I was there for a nail clipping I had to wait into lunch hour for a "technician", again, not the 1st time I waited. They know my appt, & should adequately staffed. I pay them more money (50% more) for nail clipping than it costs to go anywhere else, I would at least expect adequate professional staff and an inkling of customer service.

Ive read a couple negative reviews of Stanglein Veterinary Clinic, and it was important to me to publish this review about my experiences, because those negative reviews are the exact OPPOSITE of my experience with this clinic and its staff and doctors. Dr. Terry and Dr. Nate have treated no fewer than 5 of our animals, and in each case Ive found them to be incredibly professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Both of them seems to have a sixth sense for caring for animals - it is clear these people not only love their jobs, but were born to be veterinarians. Included in the care they have given our animals is: life-saving heart surgery, knee and hip surgeries on our dogs (including cutting-edge rehab work). They have also spayed/neutered our dogs and cats, and all of them are very happy and healthy. Dr. Terry and Dr. Nate have been available to us 24/7. Weve needed to call them on numerous on weekends/evenings, and they always pick up their phone and happily assist us. Ive also found that their rates are more than reasonable. The facilities and staff at the Clinic are top-notch. The Clinic features an excellent rehab program, including cold laser treatment and a water treadmill, which I am convinced have extended our dogs life by several years. The results speak for themselves. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants their animals to be treated with the absolute best care, and who desires an overall excellent customer service experience.

Of course I will not give a good review after my 5 and a half month old puppy Sadie went for a routine spay on Jan. 12, 2016 and two days later, the 14th she is dead! She wasnt even 6 months old yet. She was so important to our family. Why did this have to happen? I guess I will never know because Nate refused to speak with us after her death, His legal team advised him against it. We are the ones who lost our puppy and he has the legal team advising him not to speak to us..hmmmmm. There was ZERO compassion or concern for us, No one said a word to us to comfort us after the tragic lose of our baby. Even when we went to pick up our dogs records, no one said they were sorry no one said anything.I pulled my other dog out of here as well. I would never go to this place ever again! . Google them before going here. there are other bad situations that I came across after losing my baby. I would think twice if you consider Stanglein for your spay and neuter needs. Its sad that they hide the negative reviews on their facebook page because that is very deceiving to think everything is wonderful at this place, because it isnt. GOOGLE THEM!

My parents are the true owners of Nia. When Nia gets sick or she is going through something I take Nia with me to care for her and watch her so my parents do not have to deal with the stress. Unless is a life and death situation I will always make the sacrifice of driving an hour and a half to make it to the office. I trust the staff with her life. Excellent group dedicated and loving towards the animals. Dr.Terry Stanglein showed me many years ago his love and dedication to the animals. When a dog went to his office and was bearly walking or standing on his own so the dog was laying down on his side. Dr. Stanglein did not want to bother the dog so he also went down on his side to listen to the heart and lungs at the same time giving the dog lots of kisses and a lot of love to reassure the dog.

I have used Stanglein Vet Clinic for the past few years and they have been NOTHING but AWESOME! I never have to wait long for an appointment and when something comes up with one of the boxers they always make sure they are seen the same day! It is always clean and I trust the doctors here over anywhere else in a heartbeat! They ALWAYS take the time to sit and explain things and you always feel like you and your pet are the only ones there! I initially started seeing Dr Terry when I lived in the Lehigh valley and I since have moved to the Poconos in 2009 and still to this day it is a worthwhile trip to Northampton! I would never go anywhere else and always appreciate the knowledge and expertise of the doctors at SVC! Keep up the good work!

Stanglein has been taking care of my dog Delilah since she was a puppy. When she was spayed (at another clinic), she chewed open her stitches. I rushed her to Stanglein and they didnt even charge me for the office visit. They sent me home with everything I needed for my dog to recover. About 6 months later my dog contracted giardia and circovirus together which left her with severe IBD afterwards. They worked seamlessly with Valley Central referral to give my pup the best care and has resulted in a good quality of life for her. When she has a flare they get her in the same day every time. Thats amazing! I recommend them to everyone. They truly care about animals.

My Bubba was very ill and they got her in almost immediately. While her blood tests indicated grey news and required more diagnostics than done at their office, they were professional enough to refer us to an internal medicine vet that could perform tests to precisely identify the ailment. Although the outcome for my not quite 9 year old beloved lab ended in euthanasia due to cancer, I cannot thank the entire staff enough for their help. The paw and nose print Rainbow Bridge poem is priceless. Kind souls work there, and in times of great stress during the illness of a loved animal, that is appreciated. Thank you.
