Dr. Gilbert is a very professional, but also a very friendly and caring family physician. I have had the pleasure of consulting with him on multiple occasions regarding various health issues. He is always attentive and answers all questions, while explaining thoroughly the diagnoses and possible causes, treatment options and outcomes thereof, but without wasting patients’ time with too much small talk and not enough medical attention and advice (unlike virtually every other doctor I have seen in the past). His office is very clean, new and conveniently located on Sheridan Street, not far from I-95. Similar to the doctor himself, his office staff is very friendly and professional. The professional staff along with the innovative computer system for patient record-keeping that Dr. Gilbert’s office utilizes makes the patient registration, appointment scheduling/cancellation and sign-in processes extremely convenient and a breeze, eliminating the long waiting periods common to all other medical offices. This time-saving element of Dr. Gilbert’s medical practice is perfect especially for those patients with hectic schedules, as well as for those who are very ill and need immediate medical assistance and care from an experienced, knowledgeable and caring medical professional. Moreover, Dr. Gilbert is extremely knowledgeable (being a certified medical practitioner in both the United States and South Africa, and having been educated in both of these nations) and very much willing to aid his patients in any way possible, so much so that he goes out of his way – without the necessity for reminders or phone calls from the patients – and on his own initiative to contact and keep constant communication with his patients’ pharmacies in order assure the proper and timely dispensing of the medications necessary for treatment. Furthermore, unlike any other doctor in the United States that I know or have heard of, Dr. Gilbert makes himself available to his patients virtually 24/7 for questions and concerns, as well as consultations with him over the phone, through text, and in cases of extreme illness (as was mine this past weekend), even for an emergency in-person house visit. Dr. Gilbert even goes so far as to take it upon himself to follow up with his patients regarding medications and other issues in order to make sure they have been resolved and to check up on the patients’ changing medical conditions. I could not be happier and more satisfied with the quality of the medical attention and services, on a professional and personal level, that I have received from Dr. Gilbert. That is why I keep returning to him for all of my medical needs related to his expertise. I would highly recommend Dr. Gilbert to anyone looking for professional, quality, expedited, and caring medical assistance from a knowledgeable and experienced certified medical doctor who truly makes his practice all about satisfying his patients’ needs and assuring that they are fully taken care of. When it comes to customer service and quality in a family physician, Dr. Gilbert is simply NUMBER 1!

THE WORST DOCTOR EVER. Every SINGLE time I visited I had an issue with this man. Once he diagnoses my son with hand foot and mouth disease but tells me its okay for him to go to daycare. A day later over 5 other kids had contrated the virus. I had to go to the emergency room after the blisters had began to erupt with pus for them to tell me it was highly contagious. (btw he didnt know of any meds to prescribe either) Another time I visited after being rushed to the hospital for a pulled muscle, he made me come back every two weeks just to keep asking if it felt any better. (once again no prescription) The last couple of visits take the cake! I went in asking for shot records for daycare not only did he not have the shot my son needed, he said it would be a little before it came in from the order. I called back a month later to verify that the shots had been received and of course they said yes and set an appointment. I called the day of my sons appointment and low and behold now the shot isnt available again. He went on to say that the one hed previously informed me of was expired and that its extremely difficult to keep up with vaccinations for children. Then why are you listed as a pediatrician????? Ive had way more problems but too many to write I would NEVER refer anyone to him!!!

Today was my FIRST appointment with Dr. Gilbert and his AMAZING, Friendly and Professional staff! They were Non-Judgemental, Compassionate and not Pushy AT ALL. I actually feel so LUCKY to have been referred to his Office. It can take me some time for someone like ME to open up, as trusting a virtual stranger with my Health is Paramount, but by the end of the appointment I left feeling Relaxed, Happier and Trustful that I will get the BEST treatment sans Quid Pro Quo. I have not had my own regular Primary Physician in 15 YEARS & I now feel comfortable in a way that I havent in a long time. Now, THAT is worth its weight in GOLD!

I have been a patient with Dr. Gilbert for the past 3 years or so and he is the best general practitioner I have ever had. Dr. Gilbert is very thorough, he gives sensible advice, he does not over-medicate and he listens to what you have to say! He is very sincere, has great bed-side manner and is very gentle (but firm). I love that fact that he takes the time to call personally to follow-up or with test results! I highly recommend him and I am happy he is my Primary Care Physician (even though I have moved away from the Hollywood/Dania Beach Area I still drive 45 mins - 1 hour to see Dr. Gilbert, thats how good he is!)

Loved the doctor. He even called me to give me the heads up on my labs. Professional, easy going and did all the test there. Friendly stuff, the receptionist tried several times to contact my insurance company because the insurance messed up and forgot to activate my account at the beginning of the year though it was paid. The only thing I didnt like was waiting for 1 hour and 10 mins to get in but Dr. Gilbert was apologetic about it and promised that it would not happen again. Next time I came there I didnt have to wait at all! Daria

Hands down the best primary care doctor Ive ever had. Dr. Gilbert and his staff actually take the time to talk to me about whats bothering me and give different options to resolve the issue. Most providers Ive seen in South Florida concentrate on getting you in, write a prescription and get you out. Dr. Gilbert is quite the opposite. Hes the first doctor Ive ever had that has given me his mobile phone number, and hes responded every time I needed him.

I went to see Dr Gilbert for my toddler and for myself. Dr Gilbert actually cares about his patients. Not every day you find a doctor that takes his time to understand your problem and follows up himself on a Sunday afternoon. Where in this world would you find another doctor like that?? ........Also his staff is very friendly and the office is very clean! Definitely sending the rest of my family and friends to him!
