I am new to the area and needed a pediatrician. Within minutes of Shukla being in the room, I KNEW Id not be returning. His nurse/MA was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. After looking at my childs history she asked if wed be getting the hepatitis shot and HPV. I told her not today, thank you. When the doctor came in, he greeted us and immediately informed me that my child would have to get those shots today. I again stated that we werent going to have those shots. Although I should not have to, I further explained that my husband (a medical professional) and I had decided against these medicines for now. The doctor then told me that if we didn’t get the shots then we’d have to go elsewhere. I knew what was going on—many medical professionals suffer from overreach in their practice—but I went a little farther and asked if the CDC (which he mentioned in his explanation to me for why it is required) recommended or required these shots. He said they were recommendations, but required. (screech! What?) I told him that was fine, and I knew right then I wouldn’t be back. I find it insulting when medical professionals act as if they’re the only ones who have access to medical research, and by default are “smarter” than their patients.

Straight discrimination I started the shots for my daughter of the hpv she had only 1 dosage out of 4 I spoke to my friend who has a daughter the same age and told her I was having my daughter do the shots she was really upset and started pulling up so many websites and storys of kids who got really sick and have even died due to these shots so now I decide I dont want my daughter to do the rest of the shots . They call me to confirm her next appointnent and I told the assistant I dont want her doing it any more she puts me on hold and gets back on the phone very pushy she recommends for her to do it and if she doesnt do the shots they will not see her any more as a patient.... thats so wrong the way they are working now I have to call the insurance and find a new pediatric doctor all because I refuse to give in smh

Dr. Shukla is very Eastern and spiritual minded medicine. When my daughter kept having asthma attacks, he tried to convince us it was all in her mind and that meditation would be of more help, not an inhaler. That was my first red flag! My kids kept getting sick and he refused to run any cultures or blood tests for Epstein Barr, even though I tested positive for both Epstein Barr and an autoimmune issue. I changed pediatricians. Both kids had Epstein Barr. He does have a great manner with kids and seems to care. If you are into natural medicine, I guess he is what you want.

DR SHUKLA DOESNT TAKE THE TIME OUT TO LISTEN AND QUICK TO WALK OUT OF THE ROOM. I ASKED HIM IF HE COULD WRITE A PRESCRIPTION FOR IBUPROFEN FOR MY DAUGHTER BECAUSE SHE WAS GETTING FEVERS AT NIGHT AND I DIDNT HAVE MONEY TO BUY TYLENOL AND MY INSURANCE WOULD OF COVERED IT AND HE SAID NO AND WALK AWAY FROM ME AND WENT INTO ANOTHERS PATIENTS ROOM. AS HE WAS WALKING AWAY I ASKED HIM WHAT HAPPENS IF SHE GETS ANOTHER FEVER AND I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY TYLENOL, HE JUST WALKED AWAY FROM ME AND WENT TO OTHER PATIENT. I DONT LIKE HIM AT ALL AND WOULDNT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE

I used Shukla 10 years ago. I HATED it there. My daughter would go in for well check ups (healthy) and the next day be sick. Id voice my concerns only to be pushed off as if there were none, then ALWAYS ended up in the ER with an extremely sick child. Just recently, I had to switch Drs. I went back to Shukla. He had since moved to a better more clean office space. Same thing. With more annoying nurses. The office staff are all super young and not knowledgeable. Obtaining documents like scripts or referrals are ridiculous. Avoid this Dr at all cost!

Ive had no issues at Dr. Shuklas. I started seeing him about 7 months ago, reviews made me nervous. I was apprehensive to see him.. But hes great. The staff talks to my son! Not just me. Surprise, hes a human with a voice too. He doesnt just hand out antibiotics, which his old pedi used to do every freaking appt!! Never ever any issues getting in day of! Every time Ive called, they can get him in usually within in an hour or so. His hellos and goodbyes can be awkward. But do not let that sway you!

Dr. Shukla is a caring and thoughtful physician who gets to know the patient before making recommendations. He is so good with babies, my 11 mo old daughter usually has stranger anxiety but goes to him with no problem, and even smiles/giggles a lot to him. The lobby could use some improving with toys/magazines available, or video to watch. But I did not wait long so it was not a problem. Staff is friendly/helpful.

He has been my childrens Dr for over 16 years. He has very good side manner and is not trained in ignorance!! He has gone out of his way when ever we needed him and is always concerned for his patients.God has blessed us with him and he looks out for them. We are lucky to have him . He could have chosen not to deal with Medicaid, but he did it out of the kindness of his heart. Thank You Dr ....Love the Beasleys

Dr. Shukla has been my kids doctor for almost 12 years so far I have no complaints he has been very caring, listen and has been there for our kids even after hours. The staff is friendly and helpful. He is straight foreword, does not beat around the bush and that can sometimes be mispercievd but I like his frankness. In my opinion he is a good doctor and recommend him.

Dr. Shukla has been my childrens pediatrician for 8 years. I can not imagine having any other pediatrician. He is thorough, kind, and most importantly goes above and beyond any doctor I have seen.

Shukla was good at first but then he kept misdiagnosing my daughter.
