My husband and I just recently moved to the area and needed a vet for our two 3 year old standard poodles. I saw online this vet came highly recommended. So I made an appointment mostly to establish care and get flea and tick medication. My husband and I take very good care of our dogs. We honestly go above and beyond to make sure they are healthy and happy. Ive never had a vet tell me anything negative about my two dogs. Most of them are pretty shocked when we tell them we buy the best foods, get their yearly checks, vaccinations, and dental cleanings. When I got to the office there was only 1 other patient there already in a room. I was put in a room relatively quickly. After that I sat and waited for over 45 minutes for just the tec to come in and evaluate. I work in healthcare so I get it when doctors run behind or get busy. She then asked 5 or 6 times why I was there with my dogs. I guess she kept forgetting what I had said less than 5 minutes prior to the last time she asked me that question. Then she asked if the dogs were in any pain or slow to get up, so I informed her my female dog might have some back issues because she does tend to be slow after sleeping on the floor. I had already talked about this with a previous vet that gave us some joint supplements. This tec then told me "her quality of life is not good and will continue to decline..." it was very abrasive and not helpful. After she left it took another 20 minutes for the doctor to come in. He was nice and informative. He did a thorough exam but this is not the experience I want when I trust someone with my dogs (more like kids to me). I will not be going back and will look for a new vet. Oh and both my dogs also got a nasty stomach bug shortly after our visit to the vet.

Waste of money. Waste of time. Exercise in frustration. I took my dog here with a yeast infection in his paw. Even though I had an appointment, I waited for over an hour to be seen (even the technician waited an hour to come check my dogs vitals). The floors and tables in the waiting room and exam room were filthy--covered in animal hair. I am allergic to cat hair and I was miserable and sneezing within 30 minutes (and I still had a 45 minute wait ahead of me.) When the doctor (Dudley) finally saw me, he wanted to chat about everything. I didnt have time to chat about what his charts indicated my dogs age was; I had already wasted all of my chit-chat time waiting for someone to help my uncomfortable dog. The vet said he had no idea what was wrong but he thought my dog had stepped in something? He was sure a steroid shot would help. He gave my dog a steroid--nothing to treat the yeast infection--which wore off after a week or so, cured nothing and cost me $150. After the steroid wore off, though, everything was the same. Miserable dog and the infection had had time to spread all the way to the bed of his nails. I had see a new vet. Pay again to treat the problem. The new vet confirmed that the steroid was an absolute waste of time and money, saying that if we had caught it soon enough, we could have treated the infection with $8 topical ointment from CVS. Because we had waited so long and the infection had spread my dog needed an oral medication to get rid of the infection. I called about a refund I was so angry, but obviously, none was given.

My boyfriend and I recently got a new puppy from a farm, and this was my first time getting a pup so young. When we first got him he had roundworms, mange, just about anything you could think a puppy might get from a farm. We brought him here and were instantly comfortable - all of the vet techs and employees there were so great with him and gave him so much love and attention, answered all of our questions as new concerned doggy parents, and gave us multiple treatment options. We got all set up with a treatment plan and now my pup is doing great. He got his first dip for his mange that day, and while at first I was worried about leaving our puppy somewhere unfamiliar all day, after meeting the staff I was much more comfortable. He was treated like a celebrity! They played with him and gave him treats while he was there, and he honestly loves coming back now and seeing everyone. The veterinarian Mr. Dudley looked over our puppy so carefully that he noticed he had a slight sprain in his leg before we even brought up that he biffed a big jump off the bed that morning. He is definitely a well informed, seasoned veterinarian who has a true passion for the animals he treats. When my boyfriend and I left after our first visit, we both agreed that Mr. Dudley and his team will be treating all of our animals for as long as we live in central Florida.

Scheduled a 9:00am appointment. Walked in at 8:55. No one took me back to a room until 9:30. Walked out at 9:50 after not being seen. When you have a new client that is in for a sick visit you should be seen promptly. You have lost my business of FIVE pets. Very unprofessional, unapologetic and unorganized. Reply: What a bulldinky response. I was told later in the day by email that the doctor didnt arrive until 10, and I should have been told to come in at 10. Your excuse of 7 baths is ridiculous. Thankfully, I found another vet to take care of all my pets. Promptly, and on time, without excuses. They did something novel! They asked me questions over the phone so when I walked in, they had all that information and i was taken back right away! Learn to run an animal hospital. Worked in them for 10 years, yours is not efficient. Further reply: And now youve edited your original reply! My cat was in a carrier. She was not upset about the "7" dogs, or otherwise. Putting her in a room for privacy was not what I was told, as I was told the doctor will be "right in". Come in during the week? You mean when I work? Thats why I took a Saturday appointment. Sorry, but you lose here, and there is no making up for this lack of good business practice.

My 4 month old pup got sick a few weeks back so we rushed him to MHPH due to its good reviews. Not only did we have to pay almost $200 bucks for a discounted exam plus one shot, but we had to come back a two weeks later to pay almost $100 for a simple follow up exam. I have worked at a vets before so I understand that there is a certain price for everything, but this was ridiculous. The doctor, who didnt seem to care at all about my dog was also overheard talking very negatively and demeaning towards his employees while there were patients inside the building. My dog was also cowering underneath a bench every time the doctor walked him but absolutely loved the Vet Techs; and yes, I do believe that meant something. The doctor also failed to approve a Heartworm medication request resulting in my pup being 2 weeks late on his heartworm pill. We called the office THREE times to get the order confirmed, each time hearing "Okay, we will confirm the order right now". I am definitely taking my pup and my money elsewhere. I need a vet who actually cares for animals and enjoys what he does, not someone who is in it simply for the money,
