First let me say that Dr. Llanio is great. The wait time and staff however; is a joke. You wait a minimum 30 minutes before you go back then another 30 minutes before the doctor comes in. Now the staff is another story. I, myself have called there to sit on hold for at least 10 minutes and you get passed around like a couch potato from person to person because no one knows anything and the next person is responsible, yada yada. When you finally get to "the person" you need, they have to call you back and they dont even do that. I have had to leave several messages over a 3 month period for something as simple as scheduling a first time visit for my husband to get established there and never got a return call. After me having to go in for a follow up for myself, i complained and of course they got him scheduled right away. Now that is only because i was in front of their face. Now that my husband is established and had to have tests done and is now waiting on results that has been 2 weeks since the tests were done has called 3 times, twice to leave a message and a third for someone to say they promise a call back that evening and guess what, no call back. The girl Jennifer if i remember her name correctly, is a liar. Saying she never got messages that i left needing to schedule my husband for an appointment to get established. Please! Who are you kidding???? I am quite certain she was telling me that because of her co-workers being present when confronted. Look at other feedback comments left. She didnt return their calls either. Hmmmm, i think there is a pattern and something needs to be done about it. She does not deserve the job if she can not do it. I have been a patient there for almost 10 years and never had issues with call backs or rudeness from staff as i have in the past year and a half or so. Sounds like they need to get rid of some employees and replace with people that actually DO THEIR JOB! The front office is the face of that place and will continue to go down if they keep people like that. If you do not have patience for long wait periods or have problems when people do not return calls like they are supposed to i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding another establishment.

I LOVE Dr Llanio! He is an amazing doctor. I have never had a problem with the wait time either. Normally I get right back and I get out in a timely manner. I do have to say that I think its ridiculous the office only does TB tests on Mondays and Tuesdays and will not perform them on a Wednesday when you have 48 hours to get them read. I called because I needed a TB test done for a clinical and the lady that answered the phone was flat out rude. Its stupid I have insurance that covers that sort of thing but yet had to pay to go elsewhere to get it done. Not all staff is rude though the girl at checkout is very friendly and always is smiling. They could do well with a few personnel changes though. I also dont like the fact that I have referred 2 friends to the practice and they left a general message to make an appointment and never received a call back. I am assuming its the same rude unprofessional person who answers the phone. Needless to say I will continue to go here I just started going and I really love my doctor but I hope the doctors of Northriver read these complaints and consider staff changes

If I could give zero stars I would! Very rushed and unprofessional staff. I was waiting for results to come back for some time and when I received them the girl crazelle was very rude and unprofessional. While I was there they left the doors open while discussing personal medical information. I do not recommend going to this practice due to my experience! I will be looking for a professional primary care practice/ DR. (Follow up) - Dr. Llano was very unprofessional when he called me and told me hes going to "urge me not to talk to his staff that way" when in fact I didnt get an attitude until I received one to start! He started to argue with me as a kid would. I told him it was best if the conversation had stopped right there as I was getting very mad at his borderline threatening unprofessional behavior! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY! Prior to him knowing the full story he jumped to conclusions. Hes a complete quack in my opinion! Beware of this guy I had a very unpleasant experience! This is the only DR I have ever had any issue with! JUST READ THE OTHER REVIEWS REGARDING THE STAFF!!!

Just a warning to anyone who wants to go here because my husband has been a patient there for almost 20 years but yesterday he had an appointment to see Dr. Angel Lliano but he wouldnt even come in the room and tell him to his face that he wouldnt see him as his patient because we lost our insurance. Dr. Johnson was his dr until he left the practice because manatee memorial bought them out. My husband is severely diabetic and has tacky cardiac and is out of all his prescriptions but they didnt care that he needed his medicines they told him to go to a free clinic and maybe they could help him. So I hope you will shop around before you or your love one come here and get treated like he did.

While I think Dr. Johnson is great, the rest of the staff is AWFUL. Every time I call, Im on hold for at least 10 minutes before someone even answers the phone. Ive had an assistant bring me back and go through the entire check up thinking I was an entirely different patient. The wait times are horrific, plan on not even going to the exam room until at least 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment. The staff is ruining this place. Ive stuck with it for several years because I really like Dr. Johnson but the staff is the reason I will be going elsewhere. Such a shame.

Each time I have visited I have found the waiting area clean, spacious and comfortable. My wait time has never exceeded 10 minutes then about 10-15 minutes in the examination room. The facility saves time and travel by taking blood on the premises. They do other tests on site. Dr Llanio and Dr Lamparelli listen well and give understandable answers. These are by far the best doctors I have seen in 35 years. The staff is efficient and has high professional standards. Referral appointments are handled on site. This is the most comprehensive GP site I have seen.

Im a nurse and I can tell you the clinical staff leaves a lot to be desired. Current patient there , having some important symptoms. Was told I could not be seen for at least a week. The "nurses" are unknowledgable and rude. I will make the 25 mile drive to Sarasota to my previous MD. He will see me same day.

Staff are unknowledgeable about the law and unhelpful. Wait time is atrocious. The Doctor promises one thing for a refill, and then the staff wont allow it, but then also wont allow you to check with the Doctor. They assume everyone is a drug dealer and treat them with about the same amount of respect.
