The person greeting you and checking you in was great but it went downhill from there, unfortunately. I was taken from the main lobby area to an anteroom after being checked in. This anteroom or 2nd, smaller waiting area was in front of the desk area and next to the 1st lab tech station. I was there having non-routine labs-13 vials of blood and a urine specimen!-so I was a bit nervous about these labs. I was called back up to the desk a second time and asked for payment in regard to a previous lab draw and upon completing that transaction I asked the tech if I could give my urine sample now. She was unaware I had to give a specimen and I assured her that it was part of my orders. She took my word for it and handed me a specimen cup and pointed me down the hall with instructions on which door I could enter to give my specimen. She instructed me that I would pass a shelf to put the completed specimen on outside the restroom. Those were the only instructions I was given. It is only because I am a Registered Nurse and had read my orders before coming in that I knew I needed a clean-catch specimen and how to do such a thing. The shelf she referred to was a counter top with a bin full of other peoples urine specimens stacked on top of each other. To me, this is a contamination nightmare! I have no idea if these other people clean off their containers, if other clients borrowed urine from other containers, because no staff are overseeing these specimens in the hallway! I then returned to the anteroom and waited to see what happened next. I listened as a lab tech came to the desk and was given my paperwork and was told "13 vials!" to which the lab tech responded in an exasperated tone "Oh God". They arent even the ones giving up the blood! So then the lab tech called me back from her cubby station-she didnt walk around the corner to get me, she stayed in her station and called out my name. I suppose I was to guess which station she had called me from. So went into the station. She did not greet me or even look at me. She seemed to be looking for vials to match up to my orders. She then started to hand me a cup to give a urine specimen to which I replied I had already given a urine specimen (not that she had asked). She asked if I had left it in the hallway to which I had as directed. She left the room and returned with my specimen wearing a glove only on the hand holding the urine cup. She then proceeded to open the cup with her ungloved hand, and pour urine from the cup into smaller vials over a counter that had several papers with client names on them. Not over a sink in case of spillage or any thing! and her hand!! She still had not spoken to me at all but I guess my face must have looked appalled because she stopped what she was doing and set down the cup of urine and put on a second glove and went back to what she had been doing. She then seemed to think she was ready to draw my blood. She was wrong. I asked her to change her gloves. She still said nothing to me but she changed her gloves. She never verified who I was, never used a second form of identification, never attempted to put me at ease, never acknowledged that another human being might be in the room with her. She drew my blood, the next day my arm swelled and turned black and blue requiring compresses. I will NEVER return to this facility again. I will be sure to recommend to family, friends, co-workers and clients in the several cities, counties and States I interact with on a daily basis. I will also be speaking with government agencies who have interest in these type situations.

Amazing & talented phlebotomists here!! I had my hands full trying to calm my tween daughter, who is very fearful of needles after having many traumatic experiences. Boy, was I lucky to find 2 Angels to help me here!! Not only did we wait less than 5 mins, but no questions or resistance to my request to use butterfly needles (baby needles that cause less pain & its usually just a pinch), by Larissa. We began by doing my blood draw first & Larissa stuck me & I felt ZERO PAIN! Not even a pinch! So I was very impressed (I have had my own traumatic experiences by careless & mean medical staff)! My daughter was still skeptical & spiraled into full panic attack. Gigi came in to assist us in calming her down, between the 3 of us, we calmed & distracted her, until she realized the needle was already in & she felt NOTHING!! Life just got easier for me after that, these 2 ladies helped me not look like a liar to my child & has started healing some of her ptsd from past trauma. I cannot stress enough how wonderful these 2 ladies are! Larissa & Gigi, my family thanks you both ❤️ True Angels!!

After reading all of these reviews I was incredibly wary to go in today. But, I really was pleasantly surprised! It was a great experience. I didnt have an appointment, and I was there for less than 10 minutes, total. The facility was very clean, spotless even. Ashley updated all of my information in the computer efficiently and quickly. Even though Im a hard stick, she got me on the first try. I even asked her why the place had such horrible reviews, she told me that theyve made a bunch of changes recently, and it really shows. Will definitely come back here for my next blood draw.

So let me just say that this stuff is great... The waiting room is clean and spacious. The staff was well-informed and very kind. I had the pleasure of working with Shanita who has been doing this for 8 years, I shared with her my fear of needles but my experience was pain free, quick, and all over great. I was originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and I walked in at 8:42 a.m. was called back immediately and Im now leaving at 8:50 a.m. GREAT JOB STAFF AT QUEST DIAGNOSTICS ON CORTEZ... LOVE YOU SHANITA. It was pleasure meeting you!!

as a medical worker i have a knowledge of how things can be done and my disappointment starts with 1) signing in and being kicked out "for lunch" and upon re opening names being erased off the sign in page. 2) at refusal of staff to hold sample for the test order info which was faxed by the dr. office 6 times. 3) refusal of staff to take down test order by person with the actual information in front of them until they get the hard copy. in summary a waste of time and possibly interfering with a proper test results.

You will NOT be seen in a timely manner! I have had the misfortune of requiring a lot of bloodwork, so Ive been to this location more times than I can count, and it is always the same. Ive called corporate multiple times, but they refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. Instead they will make excuses, offer such helpful suggestions as, "try coming in at 6:30, half an hour before we open," or flat out deny any wrongdoing. If going somewhere else is an option, I highly recommend it!
