Worst place ever! Firstly, they have no regard for peoples time. I came across this place via an ad they placed in our community paper. I live in Sun City Center and they advertised new patients would receive a dental exam/cleaning for $79. It sounded like a good offer, so I called to make an appointment for the dental exam/cleaning. Upon arrival to my appointment, I thought the place to be extremely small as it sits next to other businesses. Inside is just as small and it felt crowded. When I checked in, the person at the desk had me fill out about 5 pages of paperwork, which some of the questions seemed irrelevant for what I was having done. The person doing the x-rays seemed like she did not know what she was doing. I sat in the chair about 15 minutes before she even got started. Wasted time. When she did get started, she had to keep redoing and repositioning those bites, which are painful when not done right. If she wasnt sure what she was doing, she should have had someone with her who did. Not only that, but she kept breathing her awful garlic breath in my face, in which I was holding my breath. Needless to say, the exam took over an hour. Following the exam, I was expecting to get the cleaning done. Yet, I was told to make a separate appointment. Talking to Seth was no use as he does not listen and just talks to hear himself talk. I am a 52-year old, retired, 23-year military veteran. So you could imagine that I have seen my share of dentists. In all of those dentist visits, the one at Boyette Dental is by far the worst experiences I have ever had with a dentist. They do nothing to make a person feel comfortable. They do not even offer military discounts. This was surprising because Seth is prior military and should take care of his comrades and he should go the extra mile to making people feel cared for and comfortable. I am not impressed with him as he just talks to hear himself talk. Cleaning appointment: I arrived 20 minutes early just in case the hygienist would be available to start early. Wrong. The hygienist, Triva, called me back 10 minutes after my appointment. I dont know why. I did not see any other patients come out of her area in the 30-minute duration I waited. My guess is that she was watching TV, as she seemed glued to the screen as I sat in the dental chair. Cleaning: Triva began with cleaning (scraping the bottom & top) of my teeth. I had to ask for the tube that sucks ones saliva. I asked to hold it, but she rudely said, "no." I was uncomfortable the entire time as she kept asking me to turn this way, that way, and me constantly having to ask for the suction tube. Then during polishing, she accidentally jabbed my tongue, which hurt, and she offered no apology. Then after the polishing, she said that she would do the periodontal procedure of the gum line. My experience has been that polishing is/has always been the last thing that is done. Why would she check the gum lines after to enter the periodontal codes? If anything, this should have been done first (as I have had done with other dentists). Her rude answer was, "that was the way she always does it" and offered no explanation. Even if that is the way she does it, she did not have to be rude about it. Further, she would check my mouth, go to the computer, come back to my mouth, go to the computer, etc. Not only was this not good hygiene, but it was all too time consuming. All of this actually should have been done during my exam. I shook my head in disbelief at her and she was like, "are you done shaking your head so I can finish"? And I was like, "when my head stops shaking, then you will know it." She was just rude the entire time. I was about to go off on her, but she look like she is about 70 years old, so I did not want her to accidentally jab me as she already seemed to have a shaking hand. She did not even offer me mouthwash after the cleaning.

Ive always been uncomfortable with dentists, so much so that I had not gone in 20 years. Well Im 41 now and I had to go. Im SO glad I picked Boyette Dental. They are very friendly, accommodating and use the utmost professionalism. The Doctor is one of the best in the business. So far Ive been about four or five times and I have a bunch more work to get done. So far Ive had two extractions and a crown. Their fees are comparable to most dental places to keep an eye on what your insurance covers. The office staff is also EXTREMELY nice and friendly always have a smile on their face. They are happy to accommodate your schedule as well. Im so happy to be getting my teeth fixed and that I found a great dentist.
