Dr Praveen Rohatgi is insensitive and very poor at communicating. This was my first and only sincerely unpleasant doctors visit. After going in to check out a persistent light cough, Dr Praveen Rohatgi scheduled me for a blood test to determine weather or not I had bronchitis (which, in talking to other doctors I learned, is not the right way to diagnose bronchitis and also...I definitely did not have bronchitis). When I was checking out of the office, the secretary informed me that he also wanted to schedule me for an ECG, a test to assess my heart functioning. I was shocked-- we didnt talk about my heart once during the visit. I asked to speak with the doctor again to clarify, and when I did he told me (for the first time) that he heard a clicking noise in my heart when he was listening to my lungs and wanted to get it checked out. I asked if we could do the ECG then so I wouldnt have to come back, which would require more time off work and another copay. He agreed and the test took all of 10 minutes, including time spent waiting and discussing results with the doctor. The results were totally normal. When I was checking out for a second time, the secretary told me the doctor wanted to schedule a follow up appointment to review my blood work in 6 weeks. I informed her that the entire reason I was getting blood work done was to see if I had an infection, and should that be the case, Im quite sure wed want to meet early than a month and a half from now. She went and verified with the doctor and we scheduled an appointment for the following week. Throughout the entire appointment I openly and respectfully expressed the fact that I did not understand his thought process behind my diagnosis for both the bronchitis blood testing and the ECG and he responded in a very insensitive and forceful way. After talking to my sister who is a nurse practitioner, she encouraged me to cancel my appointment and write several reviews about my experience.

I have been visiting Dr Rohatgi for long. The doctor is very personal and up to date . He leaves no stones unturned. He has years of experience and the staff are wonderful people. Cannot get better than that.! I have had doctor s who rushed patients in an out, and poor bedside manners etc... you will NOT find such in him or in this office here.He takes time to explain you in detail till you understand . They are the best of both worlds! Would highly recommend him. He is the best doctor I have ever met with good bedside manners, very polite and professional.

He forces patients to undergo tests that insurers consider medically NOT necessary, that are unrelated to the patients condition, and then bills patients for those tests. In my case, he forced me to take a "stress test" (which is supposedly related to the heart), even though I was there for an infection and had no indication of any heart-related problem. He never returns phone calls, and the reminder letters he sends to patients are pretty rude even if the appointment is cancelled well in advance.

Took 5 appointments and still learned nothing. Continued testing with no explanation in the process. Wait time in office was very long and staff was rude. Equipment is also out of date.
