I visited this dentist a few months ago and I recognized that the service was really fraud. I visited this clinic to get a cleaning service and they checked my teeth status. The doctor was really kind while checking my teethes and he said I might need to get deep cleaning (I knew it and thats why I visited). So, I laid down to get cleaning from a cleaning specialist(?). After a while, a receptionist came to me to deal the price of the service with smile. I gave them my dental insurance and the receptionist said that "If you dont use your insurance and pay right now, the price will be $10 to $20 less. So, the price was a little over than $250. It was deep cleaning and I didnt much care about the price if they clean up and make conscientious service. I know that deep cleaning is different from regular one and usually they spend two days (half for each day). The deep cleaning ended up with 45 minutes. After that, they wanted me to make appointments for maintenance (each visit for about $60) and some other services (money too). I didnt make any other appointments and I was really upset. Because when I got a cleaning service from another clinic, they spent 1hour and half for regular cleaning. I dont think this dental clinic is conscientious and the service was really poor. The cleaning specialist wanted me to answer his question when my mouth is full with saliva and she didnt really care the patient. I felt like she just wanted to finish her work as soon as possible. After service, I went to front desk to pay (over $250), But they said ONLY CASH is available (this was the part of deal in secret) Never recommend and Never visit again.

My dear friend told me about this dental office as I was shopping for a new dentist. She had been going to this office with the same dentist and hygentist for 15 years! That, in itself, was a fantastic thumbs up. My situation was unique. My teeth, at 50 are pretty good, but knew was in need of a plan for gingivitis, et all for us people in the age bracket that are lucky enough to have relatively healthy dental hygene. But my sweet husband is a different story. Bad genetics (really bad), poor adolescent dental care resulted in the worst case scenario: only 2 teeth salvageable at the young age if 57. Prior shaming and embarrament prevented my husband to face a new dentist with his condition. This office, with Dr. B, awesome Fellow Ping, Hygentist Ashley made the experience super. With kindness, honesty and a little heads up from me, my husband endured an experience at the dentist that could have been terribly embarrassing to one of "Whew... We got this!" Yes, it will be expensive and a long road. But with financial planning along with insurance and assistance in the staging process, all will be okay. And we can still celebrate our Anniversary with a vacation, because the office made a mold and a quick remedy of front and side teeth false teeth are taken care of for pictures!! Thanks to all at the office. I will see you next month for my deep clean.... And thank you, Ashley for the numby swab!!! Its the magic stuff! Tracy and Michael Belen

I had been avoiding the dentist for about 3 1/2 years because of a terrible experience I had in North Carolina. My old dentist drilled into my teeth with such a small amount of local anesthetic that I was brought to tears. The anxiety of the situation caused me to avoid going, and as the years went by my fear of having a major problem also made me want to steer clear of the dentist because of how much it would cost. Today, I went to Smile Design to see Dr. Buckley and can not even put into words how satisfied I was. Dr Buckley made absolutely sure that I was comfortable, even letting me play music on my phone to ease my nerves. I have never come into contact with a Dentist as friendly, caring, and patient... not to mention one of the most friendly and easy to talk to/get along with people. (I believe this goes such a long way with people like myself who have a fear of the dentist) Cant forget the rest of the staff, what a fantastic bunch with absolutely no lack of integrity, so sweet and caring... Its so nice to get a little bit of TLC when youre somewhere that you dont want to be.... All in all my experience was perfect, well priced, they worked fast and took fantastic care of me, I look forward to my next visit with them! I would recommend this dentistry to my best friend, and honestly have made only one other review, but the service was so outstanding I felt compelled to write these great people a review to praise them!!! Thanks

My wife and I recently moved to Tampa and chose Smile Design Dentistry because of their extended hours in the evening that fit into our schedule. Upon scheduling a new patient appointment which I anticipated being for a cleaning, only a consultation was performed and I had to schedule another visit for a cleaning, which wasnt stated clearly. During my consultation, the dentist recommended that not only have a cleaning performed but also purchase Invisalign to straighten my teeth (I had braces as a kid for years) and wear a night mouth guard, neither of which were recommended by my previous dentist. They offered me a payment plan of ~$1,600. I declined the services as I judged them to be unnecessary (later confirmed by my new dentist). For my wife, the dentist claimed she had "micro-cavities" that needed to be filled in several of her teeth. We initially trusted him and had the work done for some of the teeth costing nearly $500. Then we decided to get a second opinion which evaluated her teeth to be fine and fillings to be unnecessary. Therefore, its my opinion that this dentist and practice operate unprofessionally recommending products and services to simply make money and not prioritizing whats best for their patients. We are no longer patients here and I do not recommend this practice to anyone.

The staff here are ridiculous. After dropping off my 16 and 14 year old kids for a cleaning the hygienists has my older call us and tell us that they cannot be on their property unsupervised. Let that sink in for a moment. Even though we had dropped them off for cleanings SEVERAL times before with NO problems. Now this hygienists is calling us bad parents because we left them. Really? So I tell my girls to leave the office that they are not allowed to be in without parental supervision and tell them to go next door to Publix. It was going to be awhile before I could get there. The staff then changed their tune and LIED to my kids, telling them it was illegal for them to leave. Even though I AS THE MOM was telling them to do so. The staff literally coerced them and verbally manipulated them to the point that they both felt obligated to remain on the property until I arrived! As I type this I am still absolutely floored at what they did. This dentists office is a chain, my contact beyond today will be with the corporation. My only regret is not calling the Tampa Police Department to step in and remove my children from that office. Id have gladly pressed charges against them for child abuse, lying and coercion of a minor is a felony!
