I cant even give them 1 star, but in order to write this review I had to. Well I wish I had read the reviews before taking my children to this facility. Not only do they over charge they bill incorrectly. When I first took my children there I was giving a print out of what needed to be done as well as the amounts the insurance will pay and my responsibility. Totally forgetting that my insurance sends out an EOB that lets you know what you owe to the provider. Never thought that I would be charged anymore than what was expected. Well I could sit here and write a book about this place but I will try keep it short and sweet. So I was told I had to pay X amount by 5pm for work that was done on my child. I later received an EOB stating what I owe and it was way less then what I had paid. I called Smile and was told basically that your insurance doesnt want to pay what we ask for. I called the insurance company and they told me what we sent you and what you owe according to the prices that they are allowed to be charge by law, and if they try to get more money out of you and wont grant a refund then contact us back and we will investigate the issue. So I called Smile and let them know that I over paid and wanted a refund or credit for my daughters next services and was told nothing was owed. After many phone calls back and forth which several werent returned. Finally I told them I will have them investigated. Next I was told I will get a credit towards her next visit. So I few weeks later I took her to the appointment hoping everything was on the up and up and we were on the same page. I didnt expect an attitude, but I received one. So after the appointment they came out and told me they had extra work that needed to been done after the fact they already performed it and to be expecting to have to pay more. Hmmmm I thought how convenient I knew they would figure a way to rob me again but not at the expensive of my daughters mouth which caused a great deal of pain from the "extra work" they had to do. So I canceled any other appointments I had and requested my childrens files and was told not once but twice I would get them and still havent. I sent a written request which was given to me by the insurance company and still havent heard anything which is the third request. Then on top of that just received a bill in the mail for 4 times the amount I was suppose to owe. I am writing this review out of concern there is no telling how many others have been through this and have not come forward. I will be filing a official complaint with the insurance Co., ADA as well and the State Board. Either they are hiring people that dont know what they are doing in billing etc. and need to be educated better or the company is just fraudulent. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone at this point. BEWARE!!!!!!

This place is AWFUL!!!! Wish I could give them negative stars. I hadnt been to the dentists in years when I first went there so was new getting back into the Dentist. First the assistant was rude. No smile, no greet, no nothing just a nasty attitude and tone. It was so bad that I had to ask if she was okay than she changed her tone some. But the worst part of the visit was the dentist herself Dr. Bajal Joshi who was rude too. She spoke to me like I was a child and acted as she could care less. She was in and out without asking if I had questions or even how I was doing. I left there knowing I was never going back. A month has gone by and they call saying I owe $29 after Ive paid eve thing that day and my insurance told me I paid them too much actually. Anyhow I speak with Lacey who states they didnt add the HELLI PLUG/FORM to the insurance because they know they wouldnt pay for it but I told her they need to add everything so I know and they know exactly how much I need to come out of pocket. So I tell her fine whatever Ill pay the $29 but Ill never go back there and not because of the payment but I explained to her the experience I had there. So she tells me she was sorry and that I didnt need to worry about the $29. Now I stated I would pay the $29 but she says since I had a bad experience that not to worry about the $29. I said okay are u sure n she yes again. So about 10 minutes after hanging up her. I get a call back from Dr. Bajal Joshi asking what my problem was with her. I explained to her how I felt I was treated that day and she state well I must be sensitive and she was just doing her job. She stated she guess shell lose out on $14 of the $29. So I was confused because I was just told by Casey I didnt have to worry about the remaining cost. So I told this to her and she stated I was lying so she puts Casey on the phone. I asked Casey did she not just tell me not to worry about the remaining cost and she straight up lied in my face and told me no she did not say that.WHAT????SERIOUSLY???? So in conclusion I was mistreated, overcharged and lied to by this horrific place.

Please run away from this place. I was a patient at the old practice here, and Smile Design bought them out in late 2015. I was never notified prior to my cleaning appointment in January. Then while I was there in January they made a cleaning appointment for July. Since I live in the area I noticed in the spring time the place was shut down for remolding. Shortly later, I started to receive texts me about my appointment for July I called and said “the place is closed, why are you texting”? Then they said “you must go to the St Pete office”. I said, “are you serious?, please cancel my appointment”. This was a week before the appointment I switched dentists and thought I would it was over. Then I got bills from Smile Design so I called them twice. The receptionist appeared to recognize my story like it has happened often, but no one called back. I called again and spoke to a receptionist, and still no one returned my response. I looked for Corporate numbers and couldn’t find anything on their website. They will probably attack my credit because they don’t do their jobs! Run away from this chain dentistry because they will only up sell and over bill you!
