So I went to the great expressions office on E Busch Blvd in Tampa looking to get partial dentures. They scheduled me for a periodontal exam. After the exam I was informed that I would have to extract all of my top teeth but to make sure, they would need to clean my teeth prior to extracting them. I was charged $200 for this unnecessary procedure. They cleaned the top teeth and scheduled the bottom cleaning procedure as well as the extractions. They also made impressions of my teeth in order to make temporary dentures for which I paid $735. I am a diabetic and Ive had a quintuple heart bypass and a knee replacement. These health issues require that I take antibiotics and stop some of my medications prior to undergoing certain procedures. The week prior to the scheduled extractions I contacted them to request their prescriptions and was told that the doctor would need to review the file and get back to me. Two days later I contacted them again to follow up and was told that my hemoglobin A1C was too high to perform the procedure. At which point I lost all confidence in their professional abilities. Note that I was also taking my 78 year old disabled mother to this office for bottom dentures. When they made her temporary dentures the did not make any allowance for the frenulum. My mother suffered because of this mistake. For months she could only liqids because of the pain. I had checked her gums to see what was bothering her but missed the torn frenulum. When I pulled her lip outward to get a better look i was shocked to see what they had done to her mouth. I pointed this out to the dentust who then cottected the denture and instructed her assistant to do a "realign". In doing so she undid the correction that the dentist had made for the frenulum. Luckily I was in the room with my mother and called this to the assistants attention or my mother would still be suffering. By now it was clear to me that these were a bunch of incompetents and requested a cancellation of my treatment plan and a refund. Nothing had ever been mentioned about my A1C. What might have been the outcome had I not called and gone in for the procedure as scheduled? This all started in July and it was now December. I gave them my complete medical history on day one but no one looked at it. The following week I received an appointment reminder call. I asked what the appointment was for and was informed that it was to clean my bottom teeth. I told the lady that she should get with her office manager to see that my plan was cancelled. It is now February and I still have not received the already agreed upon refund. Weve had so many conversations. Three weeks ago they requested my bank info in order to process the refund. Ive called trying to get a status but no luck so far trying to speak to the office manager by phone. She always is either not in the office or in a meeting and does not return calls I am disabled and on a fixed income. This $800 is a lot to me. Thanks for reading all of this. My purpose in writing is to make others aware of the money gouging and stealing that goes on at this office. They will perform unnecessary procedures just to get their sales volume higher. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER DENTIST OR YOU COULD END UP LIKE ME. They have my money and I cant get my teeth fixed.

This office always wants to do a huge amount of work. They also have a different dentist in there every year. I went in for a check up a few years ago and all was fine as far as cavities went (or so the dentist at the time said). Nine months later one of my molars completely broke in half due to a cavity she had missed. They wanted to charge a huge amount (and I have insurance) for a crown. I go to start getting it done and it hurts when the dentist begins cleaning out the remaining decay. They bring the endodontist in and he says I also need a root canal. Which they then try to get $$ from me then and there to do. I told them I was not prepared to spend the $$ for the root canal since it was their dentist that missed the cavity in the first place. They have me talk to the "office manager" who said she had to send my request to their main office and she would get back with me in a week. Needless to say, she never did. I tried calling (they rarely answer the phones) and even left messages. I get a call a month later but all they wanted to know was is I was ready to get the root canal done. I explained to "the new office manager" what had happened. Of course, she said shed get back to me in a week. And guess what... a year later no one has ever called. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OFFICE. ALL THEY ARE TRYING TO DO IS MAKE MONEY!!!

I am a new patient at the Great Expression Valrico center. I had a appointment with Cameron Howard for some Endodontic Treatment to be done on December 9,2013. Going into the appointment I was nervous & slightly apprehensive. However as a medical professional, I assured myself all would good well and Id be educated about the importance of todays visit. Before we proceeded, I inquired about the possibility of taking another route to fixing my tooth. Instead of receiving an courteous and professional response he was cocky, rehearsed, and highly opinionated. He begin to explain to me that I have two options, and hes the specialist and that why I referred to him! I was extremely disappointed in the absence of customer service and lack of compassion. Due to how rude Howard was, I would never go back to that location and REFUSED TO SEEN!!!!!!!

The Asian Female Dentist glued my teeth together. I had to go back to get her to fix it. She drilled them apart but kept insisting they werent glued together just a little tight. It felt like having braces and I couldnt get floss between my teeth. She also told me she had to take out my metal fillings and put porcelain because of health reasons. Other dentist told me this is false and showed me their own metal fillings. This woman just wanted more money and more ways to jack up my teeth. My teeth actually became super sensitive to cold, it was supposed to be just a check up and it caused pain for a long time. Not to mention costing thousands of dollars.

This place is ok i guess . They know what there doing but my goodness they charge an arm and a leg for everything. I was told That i need perio maintance since then I have gone back 5-6 times to get the maintance done. My teeth went from 6-8 and now they are all 2-3 which is great but they told me today that the maintance is for life. I was like whaaaattttt. This is BS so i get 2 free cleanings a year on my insurance plan but you guys will never give them to me because i have to do this perio maintance. Due your homework and find a better dentist office that will make more sense than this one pleaaasssee.

I had one dental appointment there for a cleaning and checkup. I was quoted almost $900 for a tooth cleaning and replacing all my old fillings even though nothing was bothering me. The bad part of this is I also had dental insurance and they basically upgraded everything my something my insurance wouldnt cover so that instead of a $40 co-pay I would have to take a 2nd mortgage to pay them off. The place was filthy and as another person stated the parking was terrible. And top it off I never even got the cleaning!!! Find another dentist!
