I cant say enough about the compassion and care that my father and I experienced from Home Instead in Winter Haven. They went far above and beyond the call of duty of routine Senior Care services. In my opinion, if it weren’t for the owner and many of her dedicated and thoughtful employees, there’s a chance my father wouldnt be receiving the opportunity to rehabilitate and regain independence as he is. To briefly explain: My father experienced a health crisis and was found at home unconscious. He spent time in the hospital and was transferred to rehabilitate in a facility. I flew to be with him in the hospital and stayed for a week of his time in the new facility. Home Instead stayed in contact with us throughout this time. Despite being mobile, my father’s rehabilitation became complicated. As I was saying good-bye, I was approached by a facility representative and told that they felt they couldnt provide safety for my father when he was unattended, and subsequently, they would need to proceed with discharge plans from the facility. I called Home Instead who jumped into action and immediately scheduled companion care for him around the clock. This enabled me to return to my home and to identify a facility that was capable of tending to his medical and rehabilitation needs. It didnt end there, when the facility offered no discharge/transfer planning assistance (to out of state), I began the daunting task to make the arrangements myself. Once the owner of Home Instead found this out, she jumped in and took the lead! Their fabulous and caring team escorted him to the airport and on the flight. I only had to meet them at our local airport to finish the transport of my father to the new facility! This says it all: my father has gained 9 pounds in 13 days at the new facility, and is walking multiple times a day. Home Instead was potentially losing a paying client from their community, yet they stepped in and went far beyond what I think of as normal responsibilities for the care and safe management of their client. From the owner, to the schedulers, to the companions, we witnessed and experienced so much compassion and devotion. I am happy to provide any recommendation for them that I can.

In August of 2014 I contacted Kathi Jensen with a very unique problem. I needed to transport my 83 year old mother with Alzheimers from Florida to a home in Illinois. I was scared and overwhelmed. She immediately had a person in mind to help me fly with my Mom and she had ideas and suggestions to simplify our journey. Her expertise was amazing! We did make the journey with a CNA who was fabulous! She had dealt with Alzheimers patients previously and she knew exactly how to deal with our needs. She was there to help with incontinence issues, help with transferring to wheelchairs, and just dealing with the stubbornness and issues that come with this disease. And fortunately she was able to keep me calm! Our travels were a huge success and we can not thank Home Instead Senior Care enough. They were so willing to meet our needs and they were truly a blessing in our journey.

I started off working for Home Instead the first of this year 2014. I worked as a CNA. I loved working with the clients and providing them with quality care. I then moved on to working in the office in the training of new employees. I absolutely love working for David and Kathi Jensen. They have a great heart for people. They are extremely flexible with your schedule and are willing to work with you. I am a true example of that. Going to school right now to further my Medical Education and they have been more than gracious with me and my schedule. Kimberly Pearce

Home Instead began helping me keep my parents in their home over 2 years ago. I just needed part time help. In December 2016 my sweet Mom passed away. We now have my 92 year old amazing Dad staying in our home. We still have our precious Leonna. She is part of our family. The agency sends wonderful caregivers to fill in so my husband and I can have our date nights... I cannot say enough about the administration staff. They strive to fulfill our needs in every way.
