Several years ago, I got two pair of glasses at the location in Gainesville. They were horrible and I was unable to wear them; tried to return them and the staff brushed me off. They refused to give me my money back, and they refused to remake them. I ended up donating the glasses to charity. A few months ago, three family members visited AB in Cartersville. All three had great visits with quality glasses. I discussed my concerns with the staff at this location and was assured they would make sure the glasses were right for me. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the doctor. When the glasses came in, they were off focus. My center of vision was up and to the right of where it should have been. They sent me home with the ill-fitting glasses and told me I had to get used to them. Three days and many headaches later, I returned. They remade the glasses. I had the same problem. Since this was my first time with bifocals, they blamed the problem on me not giving it time to get used to them. The doctor even rechecked the prescription. I gave it a few more days and still had headaches. They offered to remake the glasses a third time, but Id had enough. I asked for a refund and they obliged with the full amount minus the $15 additional testing fee. I should mention I have a really bad astigmatism and poor vision all around so my case is more complicated than the average person. My family members do not have astigmatism and weve decided Americas Best is probably fine for single vision customers who barely need glasses. I will never go back; its just not worth waiting for a month and tying up over $400.

More like Americas worst! The lack of i professionalism was ridiculous. I had to wait an hour past my appointment. Which normally I wouldnt care because life happens but while I was waiting I had to listen to one of the employees complain about how she wasnt going to get off work on time that night. Keep in mind I was the last appointment of the night and it was me keeping her there. For the entire hour she complained about something so loud I could hear her on he other side of the place. When it was finally my turn she continued to complain while I was in the protest room and even called someone on her phone while I was in there. When I got into the room with the Doctor she ended up writing a script for glasses that werent even as good as the ones I came in wearing and said to try it out and if they dont work I could bring them back. She also did not complete the full exam as I found out today after I left pearle vision (who were amazing btw). As soon as I exited the room she took her lab coat off and left. She was just ready to go home for the night!! If you are going to pay money to get your eyes checked go somewhere that will be professional and do it right.

I am highly dissatisfied with the poor customer service and staff. I called to schedule an appointment and verify eligibility of benefits and was told that my family was eligible for exams and frames. Once I arrived at the location my children all had eye exams, but once they picked out their frames the sales associate asked me for payment stating that they were not eligible for exams and asked for payment. I am in the healthcare field and have never heard of a company telling a patient they are eligible for an exam, doing an exam and then telling the patient they are not eligible and asking for payment. When I asked the manager was this their customary way of doing business she just stared at me and said "thats up to your insurance company. That was not the answer I was expecting since benefits were previously verified. Please be aware of this company and their horrible practice.

Wow! People have talked about the rude service at this place but when I called I witnessed it for myself. I did my respectful greeting and at first Candy was nice but when I asked more than two question she grew impatient. She was very short and did not listen before rudely saying something back. I was going to move four family members there because they have an awesome plan. She told me, oh I dont have time for that, Ill call you back. Its not what she said, its how she said it. Ive had people to tell me that before and understood because it was done with respect. I did tell her I would call another location that had time to take the appointments. I believe they may need to get a receptionist.

The service at this location sucks....horribly. I was excited about being a returning customer to americas best eye, when I found oud they were coming to cartersville. I purschased contacts for the first time from here. I was told they would have my strength in stores. I then purchased the eye care club to get the additional discounts & eye exams etc. 2 months down the line, I returned to the store to get my monthly box of contacts & was told they wouldnt be carrying my strength in the store any more. The manager, was very nonchalant about the " discontinuation " . I asked would they still order them for me to keep my service, she said no.

Ive been doing business with Americas Best for quite a while, just recently with the new Cartersville location. Ive always loved the value of 2 pairs of glasses and eye exam for the affordable price! I had very good customer service at this location on the day of my visit, and loved the new doctor there!! Lauren, the General Manager, is a very sweet woman! She really seems to care about all of her customers, making certain that any issues or concerns are promptly attended to. I look forward to continuing my relationship over the years, entrusting them with my eye care!! Great experience! ;)

Ok, so my daughter needed contacts, so i figured id give them a shot. The old lady that registers you is super rude, they were supposed to call us to let us know when the contacts arrived, never did of course. When we pick up the trial contacts, they didnt give us a container or the book that gives advice on proper care. Didnt have her put them in to see if she could or would have any issues. Our follow up app, was just as bad. Sat 30 mins past our app time. Please read these reviews before you go here.

The eye exam seemed to go fine as well as the glass selection process. When I returned to get my glasses fitted the trouble began. The tech that adjusted my glasses turned the ear piece in too far and now it cant be adjusted to fit me properly. The second tech tried for more than 30 minutes to correct the issue without any success. I plan on returning to the store later today to inquire about having the glasses remade so adjustments can be made to the glasses so they fit me properly. Barry

This place was horrible. First walk in about a quarter to 6 and the lady at the front counter informed me that they were no longer taking apappointments. Her attitude was very blah and she couldnt care less about helping. She didnt even bother asking to schedule an appointment for the next day. What really sucks is that is the entire staff was just standing around talking. Shouldve expected this from a place in cartersville. Just gonna pay extra and go to lenscrafters at least they care....
