if i could put 0 stars i would. This is going to be long but please read it all, i know i see a few bad reviews on something and think ah that wont happen to my pet there are several good reviews. If you even see one bad review i urge you to see a new vet! first off i dread that i have taken my dogs here for 6 years ( for shots and spayed) never actually had a problem where i needed to see the doctor. So my dog started to get very sick, fever, lethargic, lame on limbs wouldnt eat took her in. Dr Pam seen her and just her an antibiotic sent me home... came back less than a week later, still sick she said well just let me put her on a stronger antibiotic, she lost weight and still had fever, told me not to bring her back til she had a new symptom or gets worse well everything the same but i brought her back again anyways, lost more weight and still has fever, she took xray and bloodwork said everything looks fine $550.00 and 3 weeks later still no diagnosis, said well idk u need to see a specialist. So i decided to get a second opinion, took her to New Hope animal hospital yesterday ( which might i add staff was very friendly and the dr was amazing actually took more than 10 min with me and i didnt even have a wait time) He looked at her bloodwork and immediately saw abnormalities, he said he couldnt believe that the other vet let her go this long with a fever - gave her a shot for fever reducing and also an I.V of fluids b/c she was so dehydrated from not eating/drinking. He said she has a septic infection ( she was basically in septic shock) she had amazing results since i have been home, today she is starting to run a fever again, but i am praying she can pull thru, once u get to septic shock point mortality rate greatly increases. Due to Dr. Pams lack of knowledge and concern i may loose my 3 year old dachshund. I hope she is strong enough to pull thru i have a follow up tomorrow at new hope. All i am saying is i am sure your prob is different but please beware. and New Hope has ZERO bad reviews and i can see why! Also just found out today Dr. Pam had diagnosed my friends dog with kennel cough and after meds continued to cough, she then noticed the dog coughed and puked and there were worms in her throwup/ she misdiagnosed that dog as well, the dog was so infested with worms at that point luckily another vet was able to save her baby. Even if my pet does not make it thru all this i will continue to go to new hope for my vet care for my other dog, he has at least tried to fix what could have been fixed if i went to him in the first place. It just saddens me so bad if you pet is like a child to you will understand what i have been going through.. Good Luck Dont go here for your pet if you love your pet!

My parents took their dog Peyton to them two times in the past two weeks. They diagnosed her with a vestibular disorder. She began coughing severely, and they said it was just irritation from vomiting. They said it would get better with time and cough medicine. She DIED this morning. My parents had her up at the office when it opened at 7:30 because she was struggling to breathe. The technician did not attempt to give her any help, and said the doctor wasnt in yet. My parents were instructed to go to the emergency clinic which was further away than the time it was going to take the doctor to arrive. Peyton died in the truck waiting. They completely missed the diagnosis. They did not take an x-Ray on her second visit, which might have showed a collapsed trachea. They probably didnt even review the history of a minor trachea collapse at the second visit. In other words what might have started out as a vestibular disorder turned into something very serious and they missed it, all while reassuring my family it would get better with time. Incompetence and lack of compassion. My three dogs who are current patients there will no longer be receiving care at East Paulding Animal Hospital.

I have used this vet since 1998 for my dog when they were at the other location. Dr. Pam did 3 eye surgeries on my dog. I got away for them for a few years and ended up with a lot of cats. I had no problem with the vets just the staff. I have a cat that they did surgery on because he has UT problems and they put him on prescription food. They kept the food for other clients but somehow didnt keep my kind. They let him go without food bc he wont eat chicken because it was up to me to call on Tuesdays an order it. I was constantly treated this way bc I have a strong personality and GRACE the office mgr. Didnt like me. I tried to get the vet to call me but Im sure he didnt get the message, but when I told her I wanted to make an appointment talk to him, she sent all my files and told me to go somewhere else. Im sure dr. Pam didnt hear the whole story because she signed it. Is this a caring vet that knew my pet had a problem and wouldnt keep his food? You cant get it at another vet bc they keep it for thier patients and you cant get it at Pets Mart. Wow, some caring vet!!!!!!! I hope Doc Pam reads this and sees what her office (little girl) is doing.

I have been bringing my animals to Dr. Pam for 19 years. She has always practiced the highest level of veterinary medicine and continues to do so today. I am extremely particular when deciding on my veterinarian because I have sister, brother and sister-in-law who are veterinarians practicing out of state. My animals seem to all have medical issues. My first westie had copd and my current westie is diabetic, has 2 heart arthymethias, and early kidney disease. However, under the care of Dr. Pam and the staff at East Paulding Animal Hospital, my animals are living 14 plus years. She was quick to recommend a specialist (cardiologist) when needed and her ability to work with me to ensure a quality of life for my westie is unwavering. I am at East Paulding Animal Hospital about every 3rd week and the front staff are caring and extremely accommodating. This is a place where the Doctors and staff make a difference in the work they do. They continue to go that extra step to ensure my animals are well cared for and thriving

I have been bringing my fur babies here for years. Dr. Brittany has been there with us when we put two babies to sleep. She and the staff were very kind and supportive through the entire process and gave us the time we needed to cry and say our goodbyes beforehand. I really felt this helped give my daughter some comfort to know she made the right decision. Dr. Ken helped me greatly with a rescue that another vet wanted to put down. She had been abused to the point that she had a fractured pelvis and a spinal injury and her only form of mobility was to "army crawl". He was there to help treat every step of the way. It took her six months to learn to stand and walk, but she did it. During that time, we had many vet visits to follow her progress and he could have charged me full price, but didnt. I feel that I and my babies have made such a connection with the staff that I cant imagine going anywhere else. It means alot to me when they walk in with tails wagging rather than acting scared.
