My boyfriend and I just moved to the island from Tampa in July. We were looking for a clean and affordable place to take our 1 year old Bengal kitten to be spayed. We were very nervous about the procedure because we had such a bad experience with our old e Bengal that is now 1 and a half years old. After doing some research, we found the Coastal Cat Clinic. I called to ask about pricing and ask a few other questions. Lucky for us, October is their spay/neuter month and the price for the procedure is discounted from (I think) $185 down to only $85, with the anesthesia and pain meds included. I was a little skeptical of such a low price, but we decided to go for it and turns out it was a great decision. This was, by far, the quickest, easiest, most hassle free trip to the vet we have ever experienced. My kitten was there from 9-4 and once I came to get her, all I had to do was pay and leave. I was worried I would be responsible for giving her some medication afterwards for the pain, and shes super stubborn so I wasnt looking forward to it, but there was no need for further medication. I was also nervous she would rip open her cut (like my older Bengal) and have to be taken back to be re-stitched. I was so happy for find out that they used two layers of stitches and a layer of glue on the inside seem, meaning my kitten wouldnt be able to irritate the incision or rip it open. She wasnt required to wear a cone either, which is great because my cats hate them. After we came home, she went back to normal. She ate right away and continued on with her little life. I was extremely satisfied with my experience here and will be taking both of my cats there from now on.

I took my Maine Coon, Satan to Dr. Ryan a couple of years ago. After numerous vet visits, she could not diagnose my cats extreme anemia and he was put to sleep. I took it in stride. I bought another Maine Coon, Chaos and he lived up to his name until his entire personality changed. He stopped running, jumping and playing. He walked with a strange hesitation and spent most of his time hiding in my closet. I became worried. I took him to Dr. Ryan at Coastal Cat Clinic. I explained the situation to Dr. Ryan and emphasized that Chaos had fallen off the top of my refrigerator. After X-rays and lab work, she dismissed everything and said I was just being overprotective because of what happened to Satan. She told me to watch him for the next three weeks which I did. I watched him get worse and worse until he was barely walking. I took him back to Dr. Ryan for more X-rays and lab work. He had lost weight and was running a fever. Dr. Ryans only advice was to isolate him for three weeks!?! She prescribed no pain medication or any kind of help for my cat who was clearly in agony. Two days later, my cat began seizing. I rushed him to Affiliated Vet. Services where the E.R. doctor diagnosed my cats two broken hips without X-rays or lab work.Later that night his fever spiked and they discovered he had cystitis as well. Apparently, he was in so much pain that he would wait to use the litter box which brought on his cystitis. He underwent FHO surgery two days later. If I had followed her advice, Chaos would have died a slow, agonizing death, just like Satan did. If you love your cat, do NOT take it to Dr. Ryan. She is incompetent and will do more harm than good.

While vacationing on Jekyll Island Sep-Oct 2106, our rescued and adopted cat "Lucy" required emergency medical attention. We search the website and found Coastal Cat Clinic. Upon contacting them we explain the illness observed and received a swift appointment. Dr. Ryan and her assistance was superb in treating Lucy with genuine care and concern. Her receptionist "Bev" and entire staff is commended for their kindness and professionalism demonstrated during our time of need. We often travel with out pets (two rescued dogs included) and was totally satisfied with the treatments and price. Lucys recovered and is back to creating havoc. We recommend anyone visiting or established in the Golden Island area consider Coastal Cat Clinic for their four legged feline care, I wish they were located in Martinsburg WV!

Every cat of mine has boarded at Coastal Cat Clinic over the past twelve years, receiving required shots and preventive care, as well as prompt and effective treatment for ailments both routine and severe. My own high opinion of Dr. Ryan and her assistants may be secondary to the obvious trust and affection the cats themselves demonstrated for her. They were happy to go to the vet! And happy to stay, however long I might be gone. After thirty-plus years in and out of vets offices with my cats, I can say this clinic is second to none.

My cat had serious health issues (bladder stones) and Dr. Ryan helped him in just one day! Then my poor cat had fleas and I was very scared (we never had flea before), but Dr. Ryan with her staff helped us in just 15 minutes. Its a very good and reliable place with reasonable price. I recommend Coastal Cat Clinic to anyone who has cats in Golden Isles Area. ^_^ Thank you, Dr. Ryan!

We have used Coastal Cat Clinic for many years. They could not be more professional or more caring. Dr Ryan has the ability to tie in directly to the Vet School at the University of Georgia and utilize all of their remote diagnostic systems. Coupled with her immense skill, you cat will get no better care anywhere on earth.

Dr. Ryan was wonderful this morning. Diagnosed why my cats ear infection has not responded to treatment from Atlanta vets. These people really know their stuff with cats. I loved that they used isofluorine sedation. Warning to anyone with respiratory allergies - very strong air freshener in reception but worth it!so.

I must correct a typo my dear wife Andy made in that our visit was in Sep-Oct 2016, although we are sure 5 stars would be worthy in the year 2106 as well.
