My parents and I took our 9 year old Lab Lexie to this vet yesterday (2/5/16) for shots and a heartworm test. We saw Dr. Kaylan Stone (who recently graduated from vet school last year). She told us that our dog had a double ear infection & a skin infection, which we dont believe. Our dog hasnt been shaking her head or scratching her ears, which she does when their infected and she has allergies, not a skin infection (weve been told this by other vets)! One thing we had her look at was a lump on our dogs under side. While looking her over she found 2 other lumps on her hind side. She didnt like the way the lumps looked so she aspirated the lumps and came back with stage 3 Mast Cell Tumor cancer. She repeatedly told us our dog had 2 months to live, which was very upsetting to hammer it in the way she did, when it might not be true.It was like she was playing God. No sympathy or compassion, only "Im sorry guys" over and over. To top it off theyre very expensive. This vet ran up a bill of almost $400!!!!! Not cool!!!!!!!! It seemed like she did everything she could to rip us off and rip us off she did! I would not recommend or go to this vet office again. Stay far far away from this clinic!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!

I have so many things to say about this vet. Years ago when my sister first moved here and I was visiting she had a very sick puppy. I found this vet online and took her to her appointment. They were so welcoming and made sure Ellie received the proper treatment she needed. Honestly, Ellie would have died if it wasnt for this vet. A couple months ago, my sisters dog was really sick and was having bloody stools. I called Sand Lake and they told us to bring him right in,no hesitations.The treatment they gave him made him better in literally a day. Just today, unfortunately my one dog attacked my younger dog. I called Sand Lake in tears and they told me to bring her ASAP. I could not have asked for a more understanding, calm vet who stapled my dogs wounds and provided the medications she needed. I highly recommend this vet to anyone. Their staff is so welcoming, the veterinarians are very knowledgeable as well as compassionate and I am so thankful for everything they have done for our animals. Best in Orlando!

Thank you from the bottom of our families hearts! I dont recall much from this past Saturday (9/9) because we had to make a decision that no pet parent wants to make. Our beautiful baby girl Desiree (8y/8m old) had a cancerous tumor and Saturday she took a turn for the worst. My friend who is a Vet but was out of state confirmed what we were so afraid of. Desiree was passing away but trying to hold on. We didnt want her to be in pain and had to put our selfishness aside. From the time of my call until we walked out of the door your staff was so kind. I dont recall names but the FD staff was awesome, the tall male VT was beyond amazing and the Vet (female) was so gentile. I dont think I thanked you all that day because I was beyond upset but you all take your careers very serious so my family is most grateful for the treatment and love you showed us and Desiree.

Great experience! We just moved to the area a few weeks ago. I had to take my dog in this morning without an appointment because I noticed a patch of her skin was irritated and likely infected. I arrived when it first opened and there were already quite a few pets waiting. I prepared to wait a while since I was a walk in and they were clearly busy. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was checked in and called to see the vet within 15 minutes. The vet was very thorough in his examination and his explanation of what my dog had. I was out the door within 30 minutes of arriving without an appointment. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. They are also very reasonably priced. This will definitely become our new vet.

I cant say enough positive things about the veterinarians and staff at Sand Lake Animal Clinic! I have been a client for nearly 20 years (and 5 dogs). Today was a reminder that I sometimes take for granted how much they care. My older Frenchie has a congenital spinal deformity causing progressively weak hind legs. Dr. Rodrigo Rivera has been following her for quite a while, and let me know there was a "doggie wheelchair" in the back that she could try when the time came. Today, he spent nearly an hour fitting her and making adjustments until it fit just right. Drs. Spurgeon, Nash, and Rivera, along with many of the techs and office staff, witnessed her maiden voyage and seemed almost as happy as I was when she ran down the hall!

Been going to this vet for about 5 years and have nothing but good things to say about them. When I was out of town one of my cats was very sick with a very high fever and refused to eat. I took him to this vet a day before I left town. They promptly told me what was wrong but said he had to stay overnight. I explained I was going out of town and they said it wouldnt be a problem and they would call me or my boyfriend with updates. After 3 days of excellent care at their office, my boyfriend was able to pick up the cat and he has been great ever since. They allowed me to pay his vet bill once I got back into town and never hassled me for the money. Ive seen every vet there and they are all excellent.

Considerate, Efficient, and Professional! My 10-year old fur-baby, Isabella, and I had a great experience from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted immediately, and our appointment began on time. We had her annual wellness exam, including blood work, shots, physical exam, etcetera, and were finished within 20 minutes! Everything ran like a well-oiled machine, and the entire staff was courteous and considerate to both Isabella and me. If youre looking for a veterinarians office whose entire team is knowledgeable, professional, and respectful of your time and feelings, then youve found it! :)

After trying several vets in the area for our cat, we found Dr. Nash, and what a blessing! He has been great in treating (but not over-treating) her for a heart condition. The staff are great. I was hesitant to go there because the parking lot is always SO full, and I thought it might be like an assembly-line vet with no personal service, but as it turns out, I think many of the cars in the lot belong to the staff. There are always so many people who are checking on you, and working to take care of the pets (and the anxious owners). Everyone truly seems to care here.

We were very blessed to find Sand Lake Animal Clinic when our wonderful Golden Retriever, Oliver, started bleeding internally. Dr. Nash and his staff were very attentive to Olivers needs and did everything they could to help him. Oliver was able to enjoy more of all of his favorite things and we were able to enjoy him for a awhile longer because of Dr. Nash and his determination and skill. Sadly, our Oliver did pass from terminal cancer, but we are so grateful for the extra time we had and the quality care he received from Sand Lake Animal Clinic.
