My three dogs had been regular patients of Augustine Loretto Animal Clinic for several years. We were quoted a price to board them for five days. When we got back the actual price was three times as much as we were quoted! Well over a thousand dollars. I asked for an itemized list, was never given one. They charged me for all three of their shots when they just had their shots a couple months before...we were charged for baths when we didnt ask for them because they are groomed and shaved with a regular groomer...there were other bogus charges. I was very upset...I paid more than the quoted price when we left that day hoping they would compromise. They didnt...I continued to pay a little bit over a period of time when I finally got fed up and quit paying the bogus charges on the bill. They eventually went to a collections agency to collect the debt. I explained to the agency this wasnt the price I was quoted and had already over paid. I asked for the itemized list and finally got it...needless to say there were a lot of things on there that were completely ridiculous. Do not use this vet! They will over charge you and charge you more once theyve done a procedure or service. Please see other google review as well. They do some shady dealings...I guess the economy hit them hard too?? Watch out for this vet office!!!

My parents have been bringing our family dog to this facility for years to see Dr. Estlick. She is a wonderful doctor who has always been great with our dog. Our dog gets scared easily and the vet techs, staff, and Dr. Estlick have always been very understanding and great with making her feel safe and calm. So naturally when I got a cat of my own I brought him to this clinic. My cat sees Dr. Dawson who is an absolutely fantastic doctor . My cat has recently had to have surgery to have an eye removed and he has been a bit of a trouble maker during his recovery. Every time I have had bring him into this clinic (which has been frequently the last two weeks due to my cat causing trouble) the staff, vet techs, and Dr. Dawson are welcoming, caring, and understanding. Without question this clinic has the most professional, sincere, and knowledgeable staff I have ever come across. I couldnt imagine taking my pet to any other facility.

I was wary about finding a new vet in a new city. I heard about Augustine Loretto from a coworker. I could not be more pleased. The folks are wonderful and truely love the animals. My dog has lots of problems so I was very hesitant about using someone in JAX. I was thinking I needed to fly home to insure my dogs had the best care. Fast forward -- Emergency situation and I called these folks. They got me in immediately. Worked with my hometown vet and took wonderful care of my dog. Went back and forth to Illinois and JAX. I have no qualms about bringing my dog to Augustine Loretto whenever I am in JAX. They understand I go back and forth and keep my Illinois vet informed so that they are both up on whatever problem my dog is having. Wonderful care and wonderful people.

They did such a great job with my cat, Mister. The whole office is very friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. My cat is a hell raiser if he is not in control and is scared. "Dr. Dee" (the medical director, I believe) and the vet tech were amazing. She was so understanding of him and the male tech was so calm and good with restraining him. I was so relieved no one got hurt and they were so nice about him being difficult. Dr. Dee was easy to work with and got him what he needed. I am confident that I can bring him there in the future for anything he may need.

I took my dog in to find out how much it would cost to have her teeth cleaned. I was charged for a full exam just to get this quote from them. I would have been ok with this since it was an exam but the vet barely touched my dog and acted like she had better places to be. I was charged nearly $100 for the vet to listen to my dogs chest, glance at her teeth, take a sample of blood and pat her on the head. Then I was given an estimate for them to clean her teeth. I never went back for her cleaning.

This clinic and its staff are amazing. I live in a condo neighborhood with many ferals. I am working on spaying, neutering and vaccinating as many as I can out of my own pocket. They are always accomadating if I happen to catch one and are willing to fix it without a fuss that I didnt call ahead. They are courteous, professional and easy to work with. They prove that they truly care about the animals and the people. Thank you VCA Augustine Loretto! I will recommend you to everyone.

I took a puppy that I rescued to Augustine Loretto Animal Clinic because it was close to where I had just moved, and they were ABSOLUTELY the best animal clinic I have EVER been to. Every single employee there was soooo nice, sweet, and caring. They really truely do care about your animals! I have never met such a nice group of cheery and caring employees. I would HIGHLY recommend this animal clinic to EVERYONE!!!!!! :)

I highly recommend this animal hospital. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and they will treat your pet as their own. Not to mention they have the most compassionate veterinarians I have ever seen. I have a high-maintenance; special needs dog that requires special handling… I completely trust that she’s in good hands and will get the best possible care when she’s there.

Our dogs are like family. We would not trust just anyone with them. The hospital and staff are excellent. Not only do they keep them healthy but I have had occasions to board them. We have used this vet for 11 years for 2 dogs. We have gone to see them for everything from an initial puppy visit through senior care etc... They are INCREDIBLE. Very knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. It is evident that they care about pets as much as you do and they are wonderful with them!!!!! I highly recommend using them as your vet.

A lot of extra work was performed which was not needed, verified by another vet the same day. Be VERY careful with this vet practice and MAKE SURE you explicitly agree on what work is performed before it is performed AND the price of the work. Questionable business practices at best. Nice people, bad business practices.

Dr. Dee is the best vet I have ever taken my dogs to. My poodle has severe skin allergies and I had been treating it for years with another vet, with no relief. Dr. Dee looked at him, prescribed a regimen, which literally improved his skin in 2 weeks. I couldnt believe it and tell all my friends about this clinic!
