It would be hard to narrow down all of the terrible experiences that we have had at Dr. Lees. Here are a few of the highlights of the last few yrs weve had there before our final visit yesterday. 1) My husband had chronic sinus infections for years. I asked him to have Dr. Lee give him a referral to an ENT in hopes that maybe he would be a good candidate for sinus surgery. When my husband went to see Dr. Lee his response was "If you go see an ENT, theyll just want to do surgery." Yes, that is what we were hoping for. DUH. So, he did got to an ENT, who proceeded to take out his tonsils, adnoids, and cleaned out the years of infection in his sinus cavities. So, his #1 repeat patient was no longer in the office every month. I would have expected that he would have suggested surgery himself instead of us coming up with the idea. 2) Dont go unless you want to be a lab rat for the Pharmacy companies. Dr. Lee LOVES to write prescriptions for the latest and greatest drugs on the market. Forgetting of course, that those are usually extremely expensive and often not available even at the large chain pharmacies. Even our pharmacist has made comments about his habits of doing so. I guess were not the only ones that have to ask him to just stick to the standard of care Rxs that might even have a generic (just a suggestion.) 3) Dr. Lee isnt just primary care, hes urgent care, too. Thats great if you dont mind making an appointment and waiting for hours to see him. My husband had a follow up appt for his pnuemonia and was at the office 20 minutues early for his appointment and was there for 2 1/2 hours before they even got him a room, where he continued to wait. Total visit time was over 3 hours...did I mention he had pneumonia? There is some patient "care" for you. 4) They consistently lie. I cant even believe I have to mention this. We had an incident where I needed an X-ray. Both my husband and I called in advance to make sure they did them there. They assured us that they did. When I arrived they had me pre-pay for the visit. I asked to be sure that it included the X-ray and they told me yes. FALSE! They dont do X-rays on site, they outsource them! So guess what? You have to make an appt later to go to another location that actually DOES have the ability to do Xrays. 5) If you dont have an insurance company with co-pays, you can expect to pay upfront! Our insurance is HRA which means there is a portion of your premiums that goes to fund the first "so many dollars" of coverage before you have to pay out of pocket. They made us pay for our visit and told us that if the insurance company pays them, theyll refund us the money. Mind you that they did that last time (without us realizing it) and we had a credit balance that they never told us about! So much for a refund! My husband asked to speak with the supervisor (Who supposedly had the authority to "make an exception") and he was told that she wasnt there. When I called this morning the lady said that she had told my husband that her supervisor said they had to get payment up front even though that conversation never happened and she didnt let him talk to her supervisor. Then she said that they had called our insurance company and the ins. company wouldnt verify how much money we had available (Its JANUARY, we havent even used any of it yet!). I told her I would have my insurance company call her to verify the amount and when I called the insurance company, they said that all calls were logged and that the doctors office had NOT called to verify the information!! The lady I talked to called Dr. Lees office while I was on hold to verify that we had a full balance available on our account. They still wouldnt refund our money even though they told me what they needed was verification from the insurance company! Bottom line is that we should have found another doctor a long time ago. Dont waste your time here!!! Save your trouble and find someone else who might be honest and reasonable to work with.

I gave 2 stars for Dr. Lee who I didnt get to see. A doctor deserves 2 stars just because he finished medical school. I cant evaluate him because I never made it past the waiting room. I called a week prior to coming in to make a new patient appointment. I was advised that I did not have to make an appointment to get blood work and an annual checkup. I was told to complete the new patient paperwork, which I can download from their website online. I arrived with my completed paperwork around 2 p.m. on a weekday. At that time, I was the only one in the waiting room. While waiting to be called back, 3 more people came in to be seen. The young girl at the front desk gave two of them paperwork to complete while they wait. They obviously didnt get the memo to complete paperwork prior to arrival. I continue to wait while watching the TV in the waiting room. I didnt mind waiting at that time because Fixer Upper on HGTV was on. I like that show. I only got upset when my name wasnt called. I was not the first one, or the second or the third person called. I went up to the desk after the third person, who arrived after me was called. I asked her, again, if I needed to make an appointment to be seen and just come back then. She said No, its not necessary. She said that each of us were there for different things which is why I hadnt been called yet. I know that not to be true but....whatever. Its a small waiting room. Its kinda hard not to overhear the other people in the waiting room. I went and sat back down and thought about it. Another gentleman came in, and they took him straight back. I went back up to the desk. I told her that I was leaving and I would like a refund. I told her that I was looking for a primary care physician for my family and Im disappointed that it wont be them. The nurse appeared happy about losing a patient or as it were 5 patients. It is less work for her. Thwre is more time to laugh and talk with her coworkers. I do not know how good the doctors are but the front office is unprofessional. I almost felt like I didnt have money medical insurance. By the way, I have good medical insurance and I have a decent amount of money. Being in the medical field, I expect a certain amount of professionalism and compassion. The front office staff is devoid of both. Dr. Lee is losing business because of how his front office treats new patients. Alas, my family continues the search for a good primary care physician with a decent staff. I just hope I dont die before I find one.

I have been a patient for many years. Service was good enough. My wife needed to switch doctors so I recomended she see Dr. Lee. During her first visit, she needed to renew blood work for two seperate meds. Both meds ere discussed and documented on the first visit. OThe first med renewal was prescribed. When she called back in to schedule the second blood test, Dr. lee insisted on another visit fee. My wife explained that there was no reason for the visit or fee as the 2nd bloodwork had not yet been drawn. Dr. Lees staff would not allow the 2nd blood panel without a visit and fee. My wife asked to speak directly with Dr. Lee and was denied several times and forced to deal with staff members. Unwiling to face his patient my wife oveheard Dr. Lee say through a nearby door, "She can sit out there (in the waiting room) all day as far as Im concerned." followed by giggling amongst the staff. I had a similar experience with them being unreasonable myself where the doctor would not accept a three day payment plan from me when I was very sick, after I had already been a patient with them for a few years. They seem to be only concerned about their money and very little about the individual patient. This review can sit out here for you to read for ever as far as Im concerned. I feel you need to know to make an educated decision. To Dr. Lees credit.. he finally agreed to the blood test without a visit fee (of course we paid for the blood test) and he told his staff to inform my wife that after this last prescription renewal that she would be discharged as a patient. We were fully expecting a visit fee when the results came back, but it was wholly uneccessary for a visit before (for what?) AND after to review the results of the test. Not even our old HMO was that stingy. Fortunately now we are off the HMO and free to go where we please. We will no longer be going to Dr. Lee and friends.
