We have had Dr. Kaner as the primary physician for our elder daughter for over 11 years. When our youngest was born, we had not an ounce of doubt about whom we wanted to be her pediatrician. So, Dr. Kaner has been her doctor from birth, too. Over these years, we have visited Dr. Kaners office numerous times, and have always been treated with dignity and respect. In fact, due to our insurances policies, we had to go to a different well-ranked doctor once, two days after our youngest was discharged from a hospital where she was born. This is when we started to really appreciate Dr. Kaner having been treated by the other doctor "the regular way". Dr. Kaners staff has always been welcoming and helpful to us, and we have been completely satisfied with Dr.s professionalism, knowledge, and openness to discuss well-being suggestions, health matters, and potential treatment options for our children. Dr. Kaner has always sided with our childrens long-term health interests while deciding on the treatment plan, and never sacrificed those for an easier medical shortcut, or an empty advice. We have had days when we needed to get to the office right away, and as a result, we have talked to Dr. Kaner at night, met her at her office on a Sunday, and were squeezed into the schedule at the earliest possible time - all based on Dr.s willingness to go an extra step and actually help our children. Dr.s assistant, Alyona, deserves a special praise: that is she who would get a hold of Dr. Kaner at our urgent request after-hours, and would email a referral within 30 minutes after our call when we needed the same day appointment with a specialist. Overall - five stars. If you need a knowledgeable professional willing to go an extra mile, with attentive staff who can help you when you need it the most, Dr. Kaner is definitely your doctor.

My daughter was her patient for over 3 years and I hated every time I had to go there. So incompetent staff, every time she had to take a shot, half of the medicine dripped down because the nurse did not seem to care nor to pay attention. However, the fun started if I had to go there not for a regular check up. First time I was told that my daughter had blood in her urine and that was as a result of possible sand in her bladder. I was advised by Kaner to schedule an appointment with a specialist. Called the specialists office, and the receptionist told me the wait was 4 months, unless the pediatrician call them and tell them to expedite the appointment. Called Kaner and let her know about the situation, but she never bothered to call the specialist and the appointment was never set. Last month, when my daughter gets home after school on Tuesday she had pink eye. I had no idea what it was. She got worse on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning I called the doctor. The office was closed. Went to the office and it was closed. After I found the office closed I ran her to Northwest Community Hospital (emergency room). Two days later she had ear sharp pain. Called the office and again it says it is closed. Went to the office and fortunately it was open. Asked if the doctor could visit her that day, instead of visiting her or giving us an answer, Dina Kaner came to the waiting room and wanted to discuss the matter in front of other patients. Her whole frustration about us was why we went to the hospital two days earlier when her office was closed anyway. She refuse to visit her that day and again I had to send her to the emergency room. Never going there again.

If my interaction is any indication as to how this office treats their patients, I am truly shocked that theyre still in business. This office has the least professional and rudest office staff Ive ever encountered. I had to cancel my childrens appointment the day before because I fell ill. When I called at 4:44 PM, their office was closed, so I left a voicemail explaining that I would need to reschedule. I got a call Saturday morning saying they never received my voicemail and that they would call me back to reschedule - I never got a call back. So when I called them Monday morning, they said that they didnt get my message and asked what number I called. I stated that I called the same number that I called today, and even described their voicemail set-up. The woman then said that they would need "Manager Approval" in order to reschedule an appointment as they dont usually see patients that "dont show up". Wow... Dont bother. Pediatricians are a dime a dozen, we can find another office with competent, professional staff with a click of a Google search. Id recommend staying far away from this office.

Me and my 3 children are very thankful to Dr. Kaner. She was my choice of the pediatrician when I was pregnant with my first child, I needed someone who is experienced and will come to the hospital when baby is born. Dr. Kaner provided all the services we needed all those years. She is very professional, caring, attentive, careful, hard working pediatrician. We come to her office for annual and emergency matter for over 10 years now and do not want to change it. Me and my children trust Dr. Kaner and her assistant Alla, who are very great with each of my kids. Dr. Kaner never missed any diagnosis and always give us an understandable explanations of any illness or shots or procedures we have to go through. She always responds promptly to the page we send to her after office is closed. When I call Dr. Kaner I know that all of my questions or concerns will be answered. As a mother of 3 children I think it is very important to have a doctor who is knowledgeable and ready to help. I recommended Dr Kaner to several of my friends and will do it again with all my heart.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was treated differently than others at this office by Dr Kaner because my sons father is half black. Dr Kaner is a racist and a very unprofessional doctor. She has even called me a bad mother for no apparent reason. She has disrespected me many times, but what really hurt me was to see how she treated my son every time he had to see her. I got into a car accident and missed todays appointment. When the front desk girl called to see why I missed the appointment I did not get "are you ok?" Or "Im so sorry is your son okay?" All I got was " I wish you wouldve called to let us know!" Talk about no compassion out of this pediatric place. I am so glad to say that we are finally changing to a different place and a different doctor. The only reason we stuck with these horrible people was because we lived down the street and it was very convenient for us. But nothing can change the fact of what a horrible experience my family had to go through because of this so called doctor and the people working there. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE.

Dr. Kaner has been our family pediatrician since my daughter’s birth which is almost 11 years now!! I transferred my son who was 3 at the time to her practice shortly after. Even though it’s been awhile, I still clearly remember receiving a phone call from Dr. Dina in the middle of the night discussing my newborn daughter’s feeding problem. She said, “I could not sleep thinking about different options for your daughter.” I was not expecting a call nor I paged her that day… I was touched… to say the least. I think this example of going far and beyond says it all! Moreover, her office manager Helen, nurse Alla, front office Carolina and the rest of her staff have been there for all these years and are wonderful, caring, and understanding people. They are a big family to each other and to their patients, and when my kids are sick or just coming in for their physical, I am 100% confident that they are in very good hands!!!
