Until I found Elk Grove Pet Clinic, going to the vet was very stressful and exhausting. I had previously visited practices where there were multiple doctors ( and you could never see the same one twice ), and where they had no accurate records of the information from your last visit, so you had to recap all of your pets past experience EVERY visit, needless to say it got old very quick. So I started doing some research of others vets in the area, and I stumbled upon Elk Grove Pet Clinic and Dr Stram. I have an Olde English Bulldogge and his name is Bourbon, he is 2 years old and he had partial tears in both of his ACLs. When I started discussing options with Dr Stram, he was very thorough and explained everything in great detail that wasnt a foreign language. Bourbon recently went through with a Bilateral TPLO procedure with Dr Stram, and Dr Pare. So far, I could not be happier with the results, and also all of the help their whole staff has provided throughout this journey. I am more than happy to continue to take Bourbon to Elk Grove Pet Clinic. If you are looking for a veterinary clinic that is helpful and as caring for your pet as you are, I highly recommend Elk Grove Pet Clinic.

I have been taking my cats to the Elk Grove Pet Clinic since they were born, with only a brief lapse when we moved out of state. All the staff I have interacted with have been helpful and friendly. When my cats entered their senior years, they received thorough exams which were helpful for me to understand the changes they may have been going through. When my cat became ill, the staff was extremely helpful in walking me through possible options and steps to take, as well as gave me referrals when his needs were outside of their care. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my one cat but when I picked up medicine for my other cat, they knew the cat that passed by name and were genuine in sharing their condolences. The only reason this review is 4 star instead of 5 is because of the hours. I have had to take my cats to other vets in emergencies because of the hours but hate to do so because they truly are warm people who care about the pet family. I havent had as good as an experience with other vets in the area than Elk Grove Pet Clinic.

I have worked in an Animal Hospital for 8 years so I tend to be picky about my vets. Tried couple in the area but Dr. Stram has been the best one for us. We have dogs and cats. Majority of them super old and one youngster so we need a range of services, especially with the geriatric bunch. Dr. Stram always puts our concerns and our animals needs as a priority. He doesnt waste our time when we go to see him. He listens to what we have to say, doesnt try to force his agenda on how we want to take care of our pets, while treating them. He is not one of those who will send you home with a bunch of meds and tells you "see what happens". When you go home with anything, there is a reason for it and you know what results to expect. The office is sometimes hard to get in for emergencies, but if you are good at what you do it is to be expected and there are two locations near by open 24/7.

Dr. Stram is fantastic!!! When my wife and I got our dog, we were looking for a good vet. Our neighbors raved about Dr. Stram and told us we would not be disappointed. They were right. From the first time we came in, Dr. Stram was extremely friendly, engaging, and clearly loves what he does. Our dog took to him immediately. During each exam/wellness check, Dr. Stram has been gentle and thorough. My wife and I have never felt rushed or dismissed by Dr. Stram. The office staff and vet techs are also great. Whenever we come in, we are greeted with a smile and friendly tone. One thing that I believe merits being mentioned is that Dr. Stram and his staff respect your time. When you have an appointment scheduled, the staff and vet techs check you in and navigate you to a room where Dr. Stram arrives shortly thereafter. Keep up the great work!!!

I have been taking our pets to Dr. Stramm for 30 years. He has cared for our dogs, hamsters and cats. We had to put our dog, Oscar, down in March. It was very unexpected. The compassion Dr. Stramm showed for us and Oscar was wonderful and very comforting. He answered all of our questions and assured us we were making the right choice. We were allowed to spend as much time as we needed with Oscar. We were encouraged to call or stop and visit with the staff if needed after Oscar died. A co-worker had a very bad experience with her clinic when putting her dog down and was not given the empathy and care we were. Our cats are still in Dr. Stramms care and we have never considered switching doctors in all the years we have gone to his clinic. Gives our pets the best of care and I never hesitate to recommend him. The staff is great as well.

We have been going to Elk Grove Pet Clinic for over 25 years with two family dogs. In that time Dr. Stram and his staff have exemplified service with compassion and the utmost care. I feel without their care, our previous dog, Daytona, would not have been able to give us 16 years of joy to our family. From teeth cleanings to broken bones, Dr. Stram and his staff have the professional experience and skill to handle any of your pets needs. We look forward to another 10 plus years with our recent addition to our family, our new dog, Yogi.

Adopted Sadie from EGPC 11+ years ago! Shes the best dog ever for our family. Have continued with Elk Grove Pet Clinic as Sadies vet and our new addition, Annie, our golden retriever. Have had super care for both dogs. Sadie had ACL surgery last August (2016) and rebounded from that procedure unbelievably with their help and guidance. Additionally, Dr. Stram is the the most patient vet ever. I never feel rushed at appointments. I would recommend Dr. Stram and his staff to anyone looking for excellent pet care.

I have been visiting EG Pet Clinic for the past 2 years, included annual check-up, vomiting, diarrhea, teeth cleaning, etc. My two 6-year-old pomeranians had neutered surgery with Dr. Stram. He is very professional and informed me any risk or side effects of the surgery (since my dogs are older). My dogs were healed within 2 weeks! The staff are very friendly and easy to work with. In addition, they remind you your pets vaccination due date on the bill which is very convenient for pet owners. Highly recommended.

Dr. Stram and staff have been caring for my 3 cats for the past 17 years and I wouldnt take them anywhere else. From the receptionists who answer the phones to the techs to Dr Stram the entire experience has been positive. He takes the time with each patient and you really get to know him on a personal level. The last appointment was for the 3 "kids" to get their annuals and yearly exam. We were very pleased with the service we recieved. Cindy & Randy Johnston & "Kids"
