All is beautiful and serine on the outside, the staff is friendly and nice - all bright white smiles and the facility is very clean and up to date. Looks like heaven, even if you hate having your teeth worked on the staff make you very comfortable. For people who dont understand their insurance policy or the legalities of the HIPAA act, buyer beware. The charges for their services are very expensive, beyond what normal dentists with clientele would charge. They do not adhere to insurance benefits an usually want 50% of the money "just in case your insurance doesnt cover the costs." Even if you owe the slightest amount, trying to get your medical records transferred to another dentist who does not charge as much will result in an illegal letter stating that they will not transfer the records until the account is monetarily taken care of. That is a direct violation of the HIPAA act which states: Pursuant to 735 ILCS 5/8-2001 (e) a "health care facility must disclose the requested information within thirty days of the receipt of the written request." While they know how to fix teeth, if you do not know your rights or your policies; stay far away from these people. I have been there twice, and each time after the visit my jaw dropped on the ground at how much money they wanted to take me for. A little arguing and negotiating and a few calls to my insurance provider (while in the office) always negates their outrageous fees. So, are they scamming their patients? I believe so.

I have been going to Grand Dental for a little over 15 years and they are hands-down THE BEST dental practice around. I moved to the area and really only went to them because my sons Ortho, Gary Grundeman was there (he was also in Elk Grove where we were moving from)...I now see Dr Sexton for my Invisalign and he us great. I was so happy to find them! I am real hesitant on dentists...there seem to be a wide range of quality and professionalism, and you never know what you are going to get. My first dentist in this Practice was Dr. Perrington. He was AWESOME, and is the benchmark I will rate any dentist or doctor against. He was personable, thorough, always explained every procedure in simple terms that I or my kids could understand...and of course was a great dentist. Unfortunately, he passed away and we started working with Dr. Davis. She is very similar to his...but quite a bit more cheerful and funny (very infectious laugh...and great smile). The hygienists are great, the offices are clean and bright, and the equipment is all state of the art (I got to watch the process of them making my crown right there in the office...first the 3D model on the computer screen and then in the crown grinding machine...very cool).

Try somewhere else! I had half of my tongue numb for over 6 months after having a crown worked on. The woman dentist that did the work, (like so many) came and went from Grand Dental. I have had more than one crown manufactured on site from Grand crack and need to be reworked. More over, the art of deception extends beyond the magic act and into the practice itself. I talked to them more than once about the mysterious way they process their billing. Upon my last visit for a tooth cleaning it was recomended that I get routine X-rays. I explained that my insurance no longer covered this and asked for a price. As I went to the front desk they were very clear to point out that I was no longer insured as if I was pulling something even after I had told them that up front. I then paid the agreed upon price only to receive another bill in the mail a month later for an additional $95 dollars. They have made it clear that the $95 is more important than my continued patronage and obviously feel that the $95 is more important than the advertising campaign that now comes with it. Vera and Mikes reviews below are suspect at best and look very profesionally writen. I strongly recommend against this practice!

From the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left I felt welcome and valued as a customer. The staff are personable and engaging, and definitely put me at ease (because who likes having a stranger poke around in your mouth?). I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were right on time for both of my appointments, no waiting required. I appreciated that they were very fast and efficient while being very thorough during both my cleaning and my subsequent filling. The best part? There was absolutely no pain. Not with the cleaning, not with the filling. Dr. Wood walked me through every step of the process during my filling, and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Thats a double win in my book! The environment is warm, classy and inviting, and I enjoyed the variety of music that played in the background. Ive never had a remarkable dental experience until I came to Grand Dental in Franklin Park, IL. If youre shopping around for a friendly neighborhood dentist, I would highly recommend that you stop in and see Dr. Wood and his team at Grand Dental.

They dont even deserve one star. mixed up my appointments. I went in for an extraction and they had me down for a check up. They would not pull my tooth that day. I waisted a vacation day from work. Then they lie about scheduled appointments. They just want to collect money from innocent people. Also, they made a flipper for me that does not fit and hurts my mouth. Dr. Levy and Dr. Lars as well as the office staff dont care. They kept my flipper and will not give me my money back for the crap they made me. They dont even want to fix the problem. Just told me "were keeping your flipper and the money you put down for it. Also, the manager Martha bumped me to try and start a fight. She then starting shouting for me to leave and never come back (all because I was crying I have no product and their keeping my money. oh yeah, and she also told me to go and get a lawyer. Their going to win anyway. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

Stay away! I initially went to Grand Dental because they were close to work and I need a root canal. I am now going to another dentist, they have shown me that the crown wasnt even completed and now I need another $600 to fix their incompetence. They somehow always found cavities (never had many before or after GD), and their fillings hurt - for months - for some reason. Insurance stopped paying them because of all the stuff they tried to do, and they would not work with me on the difference in the bill. Worse, they would not call me back to discuss the billing problem, just kept sending bills and threats. Beware!

Bailed me out! I had a last minute dental emergency before my cousins wedding this past month. I tried riding out the pain until after the ceremony but my tooth was throbbing. I called a few offices I found online, but all were closed for the weekend. I had a friend tell me about Grand Dental so I called and they were able to see me right away. I usually hate going to the Dentist (hence the reason my tooth was falling apart) but they greeted me with smiles and prompt service. I had the tooth pulled and was out of there in less than an hour. Dr. Joe if you ever read this...Thank You! Im a fan and will be back!
