My first review.....(this is from 2 years ago that I went to this office) I did not have a good experience with this dental practice. I am vigilant about the dentist for me and family every 6 months, have pretty good dental health. and had a new insurance. I was a new patient. Had a check up for myself and my children, and then scheduled follow up appointments for all of us. Nice office, lots of cool equipment. Apparently we all had issues (for the first time ever). I had the biggest issue. A old filling that needed replacing . During the follow up appointment the dentist kept talking about how she had to hurry to get home to feed her puppy and was rushing through my treatment. She also kept commenting how the filling was bigger than anticipated and she should have done a crown. I had my mouth open for such a long time, but she kept working and finally finished. I went home numb and swollen. I have never had tooth pain or a crown or anything....but I had terrible pain since the filling. They kept telling me that the novocaine injections must have gone into my nerve, I may have hurt a muscle. I came in and saw a male doctor, he checked my gums around my molar and thought there was nothing wrong but put me on antibiotics. I kept paying my bill (as most was out of pocket and I was billed for follow up pain visits),, waiting for the pain to go away,. After a month and a half, I went to a friends dentist as I was skeptical, who diagnosed from an xray "root -resorption" from a wisdom tooth (which was removed 20 years previous). The large filling and shots must have aggravated the nerve, but all the equipment and cool technology in this office (or doctors) were unable to properly diagnose or investigate my pain. They seemed to rushed and did not properly listen to my issue since their filling. As a follow up, I had to have the molar behind pulled and a crown on the (filling ) tooth, the dentist was amazed that the filling was put on top of silver filling which has not all been removed. I have not had an issue since, will eventually get a implant on my back molar (cant see it, but miss it). I wrote a letter as a follow up to this practice as to what had happened and that I did not want to pay the (only $100, as I paid most of it) balance as they did not service me well. They did not respond other than not bill me anymore. Needless to say I would not recommend them. Thanks for reading.

At first this place seemed great. They have new equipment and appeared to be up on the latest tech. The problem came when the doctor only did an oral exam every other time I visited, which seemed strange to me. If I requested to see a doctor they questioned me like I was an idiot for asking. Despite the absence of an oral exam they started harassing me to do X-Rays practically every time I went. I had transferred from another dentist, have had a VERY clean record of dental health, was current on my X-Rays, but they insisted that I have more and even threatened to dismiss me as a patient if I did not agree to a number of extra and unwanted procedures. I can see where they might be successful in bullying a lot of people with this type of tactic. After all, arent we supposed to trust our doctors? I might have succumbed to their pressure if two of my best friends (back East) werent successful dentists and helped me see something was wrong. Dont be fooled, these people are all about the $$$ not their patients.

I came here years ago and it was good. They were able to fix the problem, adding glue to the back of my retainers. This time I was feeling sore from the glue from the back of my retainer that I got done recently by another dentist because it wore down over the years and even went back but he was more focused on talking so I chose to come back here. Worst mistake. Front desk staff were good, but my complaint is about the doctor. I am shocked at how his attitude was. He was belittling and just referred me off. I get that I was sore and you didnt want it to be "your problem" ok, but dont be obnoxiously rude. I mean the dental assistant was more helpful and nice. I have never been treated so poorly as a patient and the two people who reviewed on here recently- I can understand why. Almost bullying. His behavior and attitude was not acceptable nor professional. Very hostile. Honestly its not a good look for a professional business nor for current and future patients.

Just wow! I recently became a customer/patient at this dental care, and their service, attitude, quality, everything is top-notch. To be honest, most people dont think much of their dental visits - just go twice a year and thats it. However, the people at this dentistry are so friendly, they go out of their way to accommodate you, and you can tell they make good use of technology (scheduling apts, following up, instruments, walkie-takies, etc.)...they will certainly leave a lasting impression! The least I can do for all their hardwork and dedication to CUSTOMER SERVICE is praise them with this review. Please come here and check it out for yourself! You wont be dissapointed. Big thanks to the friendly receptionists Judy and Diane, and thank you Carmen for doing such fine work with my teeth!

My daughter and I went to Family Dental Care in St. Charles for the first time today and it was my daughters first time at the dentist. It was a wonderful experience. We were fortunate enough to have Lina as our hygienist. She was fabulous. She engaged my daughter the entire time she was doing my cleaning, so much that my daughter declined the offer for cartoons to be put on the tv. She did a wonderful job for my daugthers cleaning and made her feel comfortable. We saw Dr. Beck and he did a great job with my daughter and was very through with the explanation of what I needed done. It was a great experience as a new patient.

Great experience, as usual, at Family Dental. The front desk secretaries and assistants were helpful and everything was very timely. The dental hygienist was very friendly and offered me multiple options for X-Rays while asking about my comfort level and explaining the procedures she was performing as the visit continued. Dr. Beck was great, per usual, and efficient with his exam. My visit was completed within an hour with a full cleaning, X-Rays, updating client information and payment. I will definitely miss Family Dental when I move out of state next month! I have been going here since birth with my family... Always great.

Ive been a patient here for many years, & tend to visit more than the average person. I had a bicycle accident where I flew over the handlebars, and my chin hit a concrete road block, sending bits of shattered teeth everywhere. Almost every tooth in my mouth needed fillings, crowns, and a few have been replaced by implants. These guys have been there every step of the way to help restore my smile. I couldnt ask for a more caring, understanding, and professional group of dentists. The environment is always clean, sterile, and the office ladies are always kind. I highly recommend them all.
