Weve been going to Lindenhurst Animal Hospital since Austin, our now 9 year old Siberian Husky, was a puppy. My wife and I did extensive research of local animal hospitals and are glad we choose Lindenhurst AH. LAH is one of few AAHA accredited animal hospitals in the area. Established in 1933 by leaders in the veterinary profession, AAHA is the only companion animal exclusive veterinary association. AAHA is best known for its accreditation of companion animal practices. To become accredited, companion animal hospitals undergo regular comprehensive evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate the practice on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care. Every experience since going to LAH has been positive. My wife and I were new puppy parents and LAH had a class that we participated. It taught some good fundamentals and even helped with some techniques for preventing bad behavior. At that point we knew we made the right decision. Last year, Austin tore his ACL and needed surgery. During this very stressful time, LAH handled our case perfectly. The surgery was a success and rehab was needed. All this happened 1 week before my wife and I were leaving for our 10 year anniversary trip. My parents were coming in to stay with Austin while we were away. During that time, Dr Preston and Matt (best Vet Tech ever!) made frequent house calls to check on Austin and to administer laser therapy. They even Skyped with us so we could witness the sessions and ask questions. One year later and Austin is fully recovered. Matt and Grace, honestly the best Vet Techs anywhere, are so wonderful with Austin. From the moment we walk in, Austin lets out his Husky wooos until he sees them. Once they come out to greet him, Austin gives lots of kisses. Matt even called us on his days off to check on Austin after surgery. Truly one of the best! LAH treats its customers as family. They take the time to get to know the pets and the owners. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

In late January, our oldest cat, Joee, took a turn for the worse and we needed to address it. Weve not been to this clinic in the past but I had always heard (and read) good reviews. It was the best decision ever. Ive never been more impressed with the quality and caring about our situation. We had to put our Joee down but those that worked with us to do this were phenomenal. So caring, gentle and extremely sincere. Every step of the way was totally peaceful and they allowed us to spend as much time with Joee prior, and after. And when I went back to pick up her ashes, again, they were so kind and gentle with her remains. We then received a sympathy card signed by all at the clinic! And, also, kindness from the facility that cremated her. Again, I have never been more impressed and we have already decided to use this clinic again when our pets are in need of maintenance or help. Thank you!!

What a rip off. They love to take x-rays. My 11 yr old lab had a stomach problem (throwing up and diarhea). In my experience the vet would take a stool sample and look for a bacterial problem in the intestines. We have run into this before. Nooo...we need to x-ray to look at his organs and do blood work. The x-rays showed he had eaten 2 round metallic objects, probably pennies. My wife was not happy with this so asked to see the stool after they gave him an enima and found the 2 pepto pills we have given him the night before. They ended up giving him medicine for a bacterial infection in the intestines. It would have saved us $200 if they would have just checked his stool first. I love my dog and I am not cheap but do not want to spend money just for the heck of it. I will never take my 2 dogs back here. We will look for a lower cost clinic in the area.

I LOVE THIS OFFICE! All the staff at Lindenhurst Animal Hospital are great. From the reception staff, techs and doctors. They are caring and compassionate. They truly love the animals and you can tell. My pets have been going here for about 9 years since i moved into the area. They have always had time to get me in when my dogs have been sick. I once brought one of my dogs in late on a Friday several years back. He was very sick. Turns out he had a blockage and wouldnt have made it thru the weekend. Dr Unger stayed to do emergency surgery and saved his life. They are the best vets Ive ever had and would recommend them to anyone.

All of my pets are in the best hands here. Dr Unger treats my pets as if they were his own. He never suggests unnecessary treatments and always gives me the most honest advice. The staff is exceptional as well, from Amber at the front desk to Grace & Matt as the most experienced and trusted vet techs. Ive taken my dogs and kitties here for years and my family is blessed to have such a great crew taking care of our furry family members.

My dog was bit by another dog in the neighborhood two weeks ago. When it happened I called my vet (Lindenhurst) and asked for an immediate appointment. Their response was bring her in right away and they will see her as soon as we arrive. They took care of her immediately upon arrival, we went back today for removal of the staples and she is doing just fine. Thanks.

Lindenhurst Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pets for caring, complete health examinations and interventions. The receptionists and assistants are bright, happy people who are intelligent and on top of things. And, Dr. Janssen cant be nicer or more caring. I have multiple cats, and all of our needs have been considered and handled as well as possible.

The staff there was very nice and treated my cats well. I took them in just for an examination and rabies vaccine. My one cat made a mess in the carrier, and they not only cleaned my cat up a bit, but they also cleaned out the carrier. I still did a thorough cleaning when I got home, but I thought it was very nice of them to do that for me for the ride home!

Love the staff...every single one of them! They are all so helpful and kind. Their love for my pets shows each time we visit. Our regular doctor is Dr. Preston. She is fabulous! My pets love her, as do we. She takes the time to answer all my questions. I trust partnering with her to make the best decisions regarding the health of my pets.

If you have cats and live in northern Lake County, IL, this is the best veterinary clinic in the area. This is primarily due to the separate waiting room for cats thus decreasing the challenges in being in the same room with dogs. All the vets are great to work with and the entire staff truly loves all animals.

We have been taking our pets to the Lindenhurst Animal Hospital since we moved to Gurnee in 2001. We now have four dogs and the staff there are great with all of them. I have dealt with other vets in the past, but the only place I trust my pack with is the Lindenhurst Animal Hospital. Highly Recommended.
