Dr. Chaille was always five stars. Dr. Benziger.......sorry. I dont have enough facts to suggest that our pet received poor treatment from Broadway Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Benziger was certainly a pleasant person to deal with, but Im not so sure that he and his staff are "on the same page." Our otherwise healthy six year old cat developed a urinary tract infection and was immediately taken in for treatment. We followed the instructions to the "letter" for the two week period of treatment, but she became extremely lethargic and we called the office about it. We were then told by a staff member that one of the prescriptions was supposed to kept refrigerated. We were NOT told that at the time we purchased it, and there was nothing on the prescription stating that it should be refrigerated. The doctor later advised that it did not need to be refrigerated. Our pet continued to "go down hill" and was taken back into the vets office prior to scheduled follow up. She was then "diagnosed" with severe anemia, and the doctor suggested either a blood transfusion (by someone else) or treatment in his office. We opted for the latter. She continued to decline, and it was obvious to us that she was dying. My wife rushed her back to the office, our pet was given another "hydration" treatment, and she was told to take her to the other location for the blood transfusion. Our pet cried and thrashed in her carrier and died on the way to the other office. My wife drove back to Broadway Veterinary Clinic, obviously crying all the way. They asked her if we wanted to have our pet cremated, and we paid for the cremation as directed by the veterinary employee. This morning we were called by the office telling us our pet was available for pick-up. Shortly afterwards, the cremation service called us asking how we wanted to pay for the cremation. I told them that we had already paid at the vets office, and they stated that they dont do business with Broadway Veterinary Clinic, and that the $110.00 was probably for euthanizing the cat. We told them that our pet died, and was NOT euthanized. My wife then called the veterinary office and was told that they usually use another "service" that charged $110.00, but Luce was called in error (who charge $175.00). When I went in to pick up our cats remains, the girl at the desk asked me if "I" got things straightened out with the cremation service. Sorry about the long "review", but I wanted to be as clear as possible. I will probably never know if our pet died as the result of improper treatment, and I am NOT alleging this. But, I will never believe that she received the care and attention that she deserved. Since we are getting up in age, Im not sure if we will rescue anymore animals from the shelter. However, if we do decide to get another pet, it will NOT be taken to Broadway Veterinary Clinic. Im sure that many other people have gotten wonderful treatment for their pets at this location, and that this incident may in fact be an exception. But, when it is YOUR only pet, this exception becomes the rule.

Hello everyone. This is Dr. Lane Benziger, veterinarian and owner of the Broadway Veterinary Clinic. I am deeply saddened by the fact that, too often, people write mean and hurtful things about businesses, yet never simply go to the source of their frustration to speak about their issues, person to person. We are all humans. We will all make mistakes. I believe the only way we can make ourselves better is by learning from those mistakes and moving forward. Therefore, I will invite any and all reviewers to call the office, to schedule a time to discuss their personal issues with me face to face, so we may all return to harmony and peace. Frankly, I believe these behaviors are what is wrong with the world today. Thirty years ago, people talked out their issues. Now, people want war, strife, and chaos. The internet is available at our finger tips, willing to spread our spite and unkind words. Too many people want to post, tweet, and blog all their personal opinions, to gain power over others and to feel more important, even if only in their own minds. People will say they do not "allege" someone made an error, but will write paragraphs implying the same. That is passive-aggressive behavior. Cyber-bulling isn’t just about kids picking on kids. It is about all ages using social media to make others feel bad. Drama seems to be the new gold that some people seek out. But, I will not take part in this behavior. As of August 18, 2015, this will be the only message I will post, regarding my own clinic. I stand behind the decisions I make. As for implied negligence, Mr. Saxon, in his review, truly hurt my feelings. I offered him the best services in the form of a blood transfusion, in an attempt to save his cats life, and he declined it. Sadly, his cat suffered and died, because of his choice for therapy. My Faith says his kitty will be back in the Good Lords hands, without pain, without sorrow, and without suffering. I am blessed every day by the knowledge that Our Lord will keep them safe, until we join them again, in the heavens. May all our beloved pets rest in peace - as our four legged angels. Lets get back to the way things used to be. Love thy neighbor as thyself. Rather than trying to hurt someone, lets try to help them. Discuss your problems with those who affect you adversely. Grow. Put down the smart phones and shut off the computers. Smile. Hold the door for another person. Bid friends, neighbors, and strangers a good day. Help those who struggle. Do those simple things and you will feel happier, stronger, and more self-worth than any internet posting will ever grant. Be well readers. Dr. Lane

Ive been taking the canines in my pack here for 4+ years. Dr. Lane Benzinger has treated my four legged kids with nothing but love and compassion, while simultaneously providing them with medical care second to none. Hes educated, knowledgeable, and confident which may be misconstrued as something other than what it actually is....someone that excels at what they do. The Doc isnt afraid to speak up and let you know if you are failing to do your part in providing the care you should be at home. Teeth not getting cleaned regularly? Hes going to tell you about it. Overfeeding your child, leading to an overweight condition stressing joints? Youre going to hear about that too? Ears not cleaned. Yep, hes gonna let you know. Those are only a few examples, but I can go on and on. The point is, if you want someone who is going to blow sunshine up your butt and tell you everything is perfect just to keep the revenue rolling in go somewhere else. If you want the medical care your animals deserve this is where you need to be.

Our regular vet is semi-retired and has limited days so we opted to go to this clinic when our dog was having some skin related issues that were getting worse and involved his ears draining which we were not sure if these things were all related or if he had a few issues going on at once. We waited a little but Lane explained to us the reason for the wait. He was very professional and took his time caring for our dog. We never once felt rushed or that our dogs issue was not important. We were asked several times if we had questions and were told to call if we had questions. Hats off to the aid John who had to restrain our irritable dog the entire time Lane was accessing and working on him. We also felt the cost was reasonable for what all we had done. Due to our regular vet having limited hours, we will for sure bring our animals back here. All the stuff we encounted on our visit were nice and professional. Great job!
