I am basing my review on the level of service I received and the knowledge of the doctors at CVEC, not on my bill like others seem to have done. Understandably, an emergency room visit will be much more expensive than a regular office visit and even more so if you do not have insurance, which I have and am thankful for in situations such as this. The staff was extremely friendly and gentle with my pup. The facility was clean and everything was quoted in price and explained to me prior to any lab or procedure taking place. I was never pressured to spend more money and was instead always given the option to perform additional recommended tests, etc. Unfortunately, I made two trips over the course of Memorial Day weekend and racked up a nice bill only to have no official diagnosis made which I believe was a correct decision since my pup just wasnt eating, was shaking and was not his usual self. The price I paid was the peace of mind knowing that something was not seriously wrong and ruling out any serious health issues that could have been the culprit. Instead we think it was a stomach bug or something my pup ate that just needed to pass. I do believe the doctors did everything they could to pinpoint the illness, but, like humans, sometimes illnesses dont have a cause and just need to run their course to get back to normal. We did wait a long time and spent over 4 hours at the clinic on the second day, but again, this is no different from a regular hospital emergency room and there were animals in much more severe condition than mine, so thank you CEVC for your hard work and diligent efforts.

The techs are VERY kind but I have no other way to say it I feel like my situation was taken advantage of by the doc in charge. My dog dying was not their fault but I think they knew he was not going to make it. Somehow we racked up 850 dollars in test and oxygen just to be sure. The price to put him to sleep would have been much less. He was vomiting blood and pooping blood. I understand a test gives clarfication but thats almost 1000 just to put him to sleep. Vets get a bad wrap because people are grieving and want someone to blame. I am only putting this out there because of the upselling. Be wise when you bring your pet anywhere but when they are dying dont let anyone take advantage of your grief.

I highly recommend this place. Click to see our entire review ♡Wonderful staff, & not a money hungry place like the first place we went to in Highland, next door to Jimmy Johns. This place gave us time to process our emergency. We had to put our cat down...or let him die in extreme pain. Loved the way the staff was extremely patient and understanding that I really needed "some time to say goodbye". The room where this took place was calming, comfortable and they allowed us some mourning time. The lady on staff for our mourning shared heartfelt condolences & stories. Hope you dont need to visit such a place. They are open 24 hours.check the dates

Waited 2 & 1/2 hours for the vet to see my dog (who is urinating blood, not just blood in urine) just to be told they want $511 up front (not including meds he may need) otherwise I can leave and hope he doesnt die. I can pay half now and half next week...No doesnt work that way, all now.....what kind of animal lovers do that to you? I have 3 kids and bills and dont just have $511 to shell out. ....turns out he has stones that are clogging path to pass now needs surgery...end cost..before surgery $564 :( .....FML....Ladies were nice after you say you can pay....very nice. 5hrs later were leaving with a catheter :( ....FML again

I unfortunately had to have my cat put down a few months ago. I called on a Sunday before a holiday to let them know that I needed to have this happen as she was in bad condition. The team was extremely helpful and caring when I arrived and quickly had me in a private room and meeting with their doctor within minutes. Losing a family pet is hard and they helped make the worst part of the experience go as smooth as possible. The entire team on staff was great. I will always come back here if any of my other animals are in need after the positive way they treated me.

The person who answered when we called initially, front desk, and Dr Butler (sp?) were all so kind when we had to put our sweet dog to sleep due to a ruptured tumor. The dr was especially gentle and sweet during the dreaded process. It is NEVER an easy thing to do, and the last thing you want at a time like that is rudeness or judgement and thankfully we had none of that. 1st time we came to this place was with our other dog for an allergic rxn, they quickly gave her medicine and we were on our way back home within an hour and a half. Good experiences all around.

They were very accommodating in our time of need with our pet. Our pet lizard was suffering, and we wanted our poor animal to be put out of his misery so he wasnt in pain anymore. Even though this clinic does not treat reptiles they were kind enough to help us very late at night so we didnt have to wait until morning to go to a reptile clinic while our lizard continued to suffer. They even made a clay mold of our lizards feet without us even asking for one. They were extremely kind to us during an emotional time and it did not go unnoticed.

We took our sweet cat to the clinic around 10 pm on a Friday night. He had suffered a stroke or seizure, and was temporarily blind. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the tech came out and told us the Dr was in emergency surgery and it would be about 2 hours before our cat could be seen. We didnt stay and called our reg vet the next day which happened to be a Saturday. They couldnt see him either. We managed to get him in to another Dr and ended up paying almost $500.00. What good is an emergency vet if you cant get in to see the Dr.

These people are the best. They are compassionate and level headed. If you dont agree it is most likely because you are expecting a miracle or you are too selfish to realize that instant gratification is unreasonable to expect. This is the second pet that Ive taken to CEVC for emergency care. Each time Ive come to CEVC they continue to keep reasonable perspective in terms of putting the pets needs first. I am grateful to the staff for their kindness, especially during our recent visit.

Had to take my 132 lbs lab here one night when he had a spinal-card stroke... I had neighbors help me get him into my car, and when we got to the vet, the technicians were very helpful and professional at getting him out of the car. The bought a cart on wheels, and a gurney thingy to push him on to to help get him out. The one tech was extremely good at calming him down and helping him stay calm. I will definitely come back here if another pet emergency happens.
