I took my cat here to get spade and declawed. After 2 days I noticed she had no energy, when I called the vet they said it was most likely hormones and to call in a few days. She did not get better and when I called they said to bring her in, but that they were going to charge me for a office visit, exam and medicine if she needed it. When I called Edgewood Animal Hospital they said if they would have done the surgery they would have picked up the charges since they were the responsible party for the charges. Alburnett Vet would not. I am taking my cat to Edgewood Animal hospital now, and will never take my animals to Alburnett ever again!! I just hope there is nothing wrong with my cat and that some antibiotics can fix any infection she picked up at Alburnett!

Had cat taken in cause of an Ear infection, Cat was given an injection was told it was a steroid to help his so his ears didnt bother him as much, This is when his health took a turn for the worst.. Went to a different vet and was told that the injection of a steroid to an over weight animal put him in a dietetic problem. well to make a long story short I can not afford the Money to medicate the poor boy as the mthly cost is above what I can afford and Now after 9 years of enjoyment with my pet I have to have him put to sleep.. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET PLEASE FIND ANOTHER VET THAT IS UPDATE ON ALL PROCEDURES..

STAY AWAY. I highly suggest that you DO NOT go here as they make false assumptions and have been proved to lying in my case not to mention they can be very RUDE especially the male working there. I do not remember his name but if I could rate this as a ZERO STARS I would but for now One star will do . I have been a client for over 20 years at Alburnett Veterinary Service. I would never take a pet anywhere else. I have received excellent service there for my cats and dogs. They are caring and efficient with client always in-mind. Even though they are located in Alburnett it is very convenient to get to. Many of our friends in Cedar Rapids and Marion use AVS and are also pleased with their experiences. I would HIGHLY recommend this veterinary practice.
