I brought in my 15yr old dog because she had not eaten in 5 days and was barely drinking water throwing up and was just really weak and lathargic. Dr Mahan examined her very little as and just checked her stool for parasites which there was none. Told me my dog was just stressed and dehydrated and gave her some fluids under her skin and sent me home with a pill form antibiotic and anti-nauseua pill, I told her I would not be able to give the meds cause she is not eating but sent her home with no answers and no better. I tried everything to give her medicine still would not eat I the called Dr Mahan back after 3 more days telling her she still not eating and actually getting worse by this time not drinking at all and stopped using bathroom. They told me I could bring her back in and pay another $200 plus dollars and do booldwork and xray . I asked her when I had her there if she thought it was anything serious and she said god no well I decided 4 days after taking her there that something really bad was wrong so I took her to Noahs ark animal clinic and they examined her and said she was in kidney failure so in Thursday I had to let my baby go. Because of this mis-diagnosis at Riverview she laid and suffered 4 more days which should not have happened I knew it was not just stress that made no sense to me but Dr Mahan just did not listen or care.

My dogs get excited to go to the vet. That should say enough in itself. I drive from Northern Cincinnati because their office has exceded expectations time and time again. Staff is always super nice and prompt - whether it be returning calls, emails, etc. Dr. Mahan has been exceptional at getting the best of both their personalities, and making sure theyre treated properly. She or her staff always follow-up a day or two after shots or medical administrations to make sure everything is working as it should and there havent been any negative side effects. Theyve always been very thorough and straight forward, and Ive come to hold Dr. Mahans opinion in high regard. Cannot recommend enough.

Dr Mahan and staff are exceptionally wonderful. They catered to our younger anxious dog and were able to peacefully give him check up and shots. As for our elderly dog, was happy to hear we can have oral treatment for his teeth and help him age as best as possible. Going to the vet was definitely stress free and not a rip-off today. We look forward to continuing this relationship.

Riverview animal hospital is the best!! The entire staff is friendly and super helpful! This small practice makes you feel very welcome and Dr. Mahan is wonderful. She cares for my cats and rabbit, along with my parents dogs. She takes her time to get to know you and ensure that your pet is taken care of. I recommend her to everyone!

Very expensive! Our dog had a rib bone stuck in her teeth, time 6:05pm. They close at 6:00pm. Told make an appointment, we are closed. My husband as the assistant, " what should we do can you just look at her?" he replied make an appointment. Surprised he even said that, whole time on his cell phone!

I was visiting from out of town and brought my elderly dog to Dr. Mahan for allergies and joint pain. One of the best Vets I have ever been to. Lovely office, great staff and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the latest treatments. Couldnt have been happier with her care.
