I have gone to this dental care probably more than five times and each time, they have proven me wrong in terms of how scary the procedures are. Dr. Cowen and his assistants staffs have ALWAYS had bright smiles, joke around, and have made sure the environment is as pleasant as possible. I have NOT encountered anyone there that has made me uncomfortable. The waiting time with them is not long at all. I would say 4/5, they would always call me in as soon as I sit down. But I have never waited for more than 30 minutes. They dont screw around with your money. If you talk to the right people there, they are willing to help you with your financial abilities. At first, they wanted the entire bill for my root canal, but I spoke with someone else who allowed me to make multiple payments and they have NO idea how helpful that was. Another thing about money is that they dont make you come back for multiple visits concerning ONE thing thats wrong with you. If something needs to be done, they take care of it ENTIRELY. Theyre very good with reminding you on your appointments. They will call you and before you leave they will give you card with your appointment time that you can stick on your refrigerator. They sometimes do give you some goodies like a bag with toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, and some coupons. The staff there are very generous in sharing their experiences. Usually when you think of the assistants or nurses, you think theyre just the healthiest people that have never had problems. But I spoke with someone there that said one of her co-workers had a root canal and afterward, she just went back to work as if it was nothing. She said her kids and husband had work done and went about their day as if it was nothing. I had one assistant share with me that shes had cavities done. So, its just really helpful to have people around me that actually understand what Im going through. Ive had two clean-ups, 5 cavities filled, and recently a root canal procedure. I was terrified of the root canal but once I went through it, it was a piece of cake. I cant believe how silly my fear was. I went back to get my permanent crown and they put the temporary crown in so well that one of the assistants had a little trouble getting it out. So after the root canal, they have totally earned my trust and I no longer have any concern when going to them.

I dont recommend this place. They often had students working on me even though I was paying for experienced professional work and they didnt even ask me if I was ok with someone who is learning working on me. Dr Cotton did a bridge for me and it is really awful, too bulky and greyish yellow/green tinted. He did not prepare the teeth underneath for the bridge properly which made the bridge itself look very bulky and stick out too far. As he tried re-shaping it to look normal he wore away the tooth colored layers so much so that it became translucent and the black metal underneath now shows through and gives the bridge a dark appearance. I should have never approved it to be permanently cemented, however they NEVER should have even asked me to approve it when its clearly unattractive and not a good match. They are-- supposed to be-- the professionals but instead of acknowledging making a mistake and starting over to assure I received a nice looking bridge they just didnt care and let me have an ugly bridge I have to live with everyday that makes me self conscious. Dr Cotton should really be ashamed of the work. I dont say that to be mean, but if I were a dentist and this was my work I would be genuinely ashamed for my patient to tell anyone I did it. I am going to have to go elsewhere to have it fixed if I ever hope to have a smile I can be happy about again.

I have been a patient here for 16yrs till this point and have never had any issues with my teeth. I was refused service at my most recent bi-annual check-up and cleaning because I declined to have x-rays done. I was told by the Hygienist that I was "violating the law" and they could not clean my teeth without an updated x-ray. My most recent x-rays were only 2yrs old and I was not having any issues at this time (or ever). I was floored at the response. I was unable to find "the law" in question, but I did find an ADA recommendation that a previously seen patient with no prior issues does not need radiographic images done every other visit. It has always been my understanding that the patient is in charge of their own healthcare. If a patient with no complaints or issues prefers not to have a diagnostic service performed. They should honor that request. They should not manipulate and try to use pressure tactics to get the job done.

Its an ok place if all you need is your teeth cleaned. Once they find something wrong, they are quick to refer you out with no explanation as to why youre being referred. They dont take the time to go over the issues with you. They just hand you a paper and say make an appt with this person. My nerve in my front tooth was thinning out so they wanted me to go see an endodontist and have a root canal. My tooth was not hurting, painful, or turning color. They just told me the tooth could be dying. I went for a second opinion with another dentist and was told I just needed to keep an eye on it. I just felt no one there really wanted to answer my questions. So glad I got a second opinion and didnt waste money on an unnecessary root canal.

My whole family comes together and we each wait our turn so we can have Lindsey clean our teeth. She is great and worked so hard to really clean my teeth that I want to take better care of them at home so I dont undo all her hard work. Dr Cowen and Dr Dies are the best dentists. They are even wonderful with my kids. My kids love them and have no fear of going to the dentist. The few times Ive had to have a shot and Dr Cowen gave it to me, I didnt feel the shot. I cant say enough good things about this practice. There is a little wait to schedule a regular appointment because theyre so good this is the place everyone wants to go, but in an emergency they always find a way to fit you in the schedule. I recommend them to everyone.

This Dentist and his team, are some of the best people in town period. I have never had a nicer and professional visit then when I go to see him. I really admire how if you have a problem or a tooth emergency they have not problem fitting you in right away, regardless of how busy they are, they still manage to find time to see you and not rush you right out the door. I have known Dr. Geneux since we were in high school many years ago, and most of his staff almost the same time, and the new ones you meet feel like you have know them for just as long. If you are new to town, or just not happy with your current dentist or simply want a better experience I highly recommend you try them out, you want be disappointed.
