Well to be honest my rating is more like 3.75 stars, but whatever. My daughter and I are both patients here, and Ive had a series of mixed, but mostly good experiences with this place. Lets start with the positive things, since I do not want to just rant and rave. I want to offer a quality review. As a parent I know how important it is to know what really goes on at doctors offices, not just a few peoples bad experiences. The Pros: As long as you are on time or early for your appointment you will receive prompt service. Ive never waited more than ten minutes to be seen if I showed up by my appointment time. The Employees there are very friendly and they love children. I can not stress how annoying it is when youre not feeling well and there is some douche behind the counter giving you attitude. Im glad I dont have this problem here. The facility is ALWAYS clean. From the lobby to the exam room Ive never seen a single thing out of place. Not a bunch of junkies sitting around. (Not trying to sound like a jerk, but it can be a little scary for a young child to see someone with a drug problem at the doctors office.) Its easy to get to. The cathedral street location can be reached by bus, metro (if youre willing to do a little walking) and light rail. I can get urgent care appointments with no problem. Ive only had an urgent care appointment the next day once and thats because I called at 3:30 in the afternoon. They have a myriad of information booklets in the waiting room. Its nice to have something a little more than gossip mags to look at while you wait. Their std testing seems to be very discreet. Most of the people who Ive seen come for testing are in and out quickly. No names are used in the waiting area, so ones privacy is protected. So now the Cons: I have not seen my actually doctor in more than five appointments. Dr. Speedie must be a very busy woman, because I havent seen her since February but Ive been there numerous times since then. I was notified only in passing that my doctor was leaving the practice. If i wasnt scheduling an appointment for after her last day, I probably wouldnt have found out then. It doesnt seem like they have found another Doctor to replace the ones who left, which is probably why I never see my PCP (This might not seem like a big deal, but when you build rapport with a person, its not easy having to explain your health issues over and over to someone else, or better yet the person youre talking to not knowing what the treatment plan youre on is.). Their referral service is difficult to contact. We played phone tag for about a week trying to get my referrals sent to the correct address. I fyou ar elate for your appointment you could end up waiting more than an hour to be seen depending on how busy they are ( although this is not uncommon, it is a bit bothersome) Overall, its not a bad place. There are many good things about Chase Brexton that keep me coming back. The problems I have are not reason enough to switch offices. So I hope other people have pleasant experience with them, as most of mine are.

As a (former) longtime patient at Chase Brexton, I finally decided to ditch their services just today after they proved - once again - theyve lost ALL focus, particularly in regards to their patients wellbeing. Ive lost two primary physicians w/in a span of two years; was told both times via letter (cmon, now, its 2017 - email or call me so I can be quick with whatever changes I need to make) and neither time did those letters include how they intended to address my physician loss, nor did they even offer information on what steps I could take next. I dont want to get to know a 3rd doctor - and vice versa - only to be told AGAIN that he or she is leaving/has left the facility and will no longer be my physician. Clearly, theres a problem when your doctor turnover rate is this high and consistent. And today I went to pick up a prescription refill (one that should be automatic refilled; Ive learned not to rely on that, however), AFTER Id called to remind them to fill it at 2 p.m., and was told it would be done by 4 p.m. I walked in at 4:20; didnt walk out with my Rx until 5:30. Clearly, Chase Brexton is not making efforts to improve things - which is sad as a member of the community for whom they once advocated when no other facilities so openly did. Super sad. And I urge those who read through these reviews to take particular note of the "one star" reviews. Those issues, repeatedly shared, havent been fixed. Chase Brexton is no good, no good.

this used to be a great place (patient 7+ years) but now its a total piece of $#*%! theres no apathy for patients they are constant mistakes being made, staff members constantly dropping the ball, everyones misinformed, the staff must be overworked because they treat everybody like crap Im looking into going somewhere else now ( theyve also outpatient me to a couple terrible places like when my psychiatrist quit and nobody told me and they wouldnt fill my psych medicine and then they sent me somewhere that after 4 appointments still couldnt fill my prescription for my psych medicine which turned into a big waste of time got refer her back to Chase just to have my medical doctor fill the prescription three months later) ever since they went into this new building its been one downhill struggle after the other its a real shame too because this used to be a really great place for the LGBT community to have their health treated with dignity and respect , it has taken everything in me at times not to burst into tears when Im at Chase because after having to spend hours at a clinic where people treat you like everything is your fault (when they feel like treating you at all) or theyre not dropping the ball ....... you wind up leaving with lower self-esteem when you had when you came in!

I had a tooth extracted yesterday morning and it didnt stop bleeding since the procedure was done. I arrive back to their office at 9:55 a.m. and with the few words i managed to get out i told the front desk my issue. I was told to sign in and wait. After 20 minutes of waiting i asked how much longer and i was told "i dont know, the doctor has two10 oclock appts." And i then calmly asked, "am i not an emergency case since ive been bleeding for 24 hours and the blood is filling up my mouth so rapidly, im spitting every 10 minutes?" Oh but i guess i dont matter...maybe im not quite pale enough from losing so much blood and swallowing it? This is ridiculous and i was content with the service up until now... this is so insulting and hurtful ...i dont care how great Dr. O is.... this makes me want to not come back and get my bridge done elsewhere!!!!

Please dont waste your time with their services! Ive been going there for one year, just because they are close to my house and I was keeping closing my eyes on their lagging service. The staff is really not friendly, and dont even try to reach anybody over the phone- its not possible! Especially reference line- for the whole year I was there - never was able to reach this department. My physician prescribed me low dose blood pressure medication till I end up in emergency room in JH- where neurologist told me my dose supposed to be much higher with my condition. Only after a year my physician decided to reference me to hypertension specialist - I guess i had to get a stroke before or another serious medical condition before he decided to send me to a specialist. You may decide for yourself to go or not but Im definitely not coming back.
