As a caregiver and medical assistant for a few patients I have to do business with Hamilton Health Center: to see doctors, to get lab work results, referrals, and confirmations from doctors regarding some medical procedures. I really have a hard time to get the necessary information. I spent a lot of time with them and I can tell you, that they are very disorganized and unprofessional, I spent 17 min. on the phone waiting to connect with an operator, some nurses are rude, and doctors from other medical offices do not like to deal with them. I could write more details about their work, they just do an awful job. To resolve a simple issue such as to get a doctor’s confirmation about how long a patient should be off Coumadin prior to a special procedure, the medical office had to fax them 3 times and talk to supervisor and they still did not respond. Today I physically had to go there and talk to Regina King and Nicole Hamilton to resolve the problem. I spent more than an hour and finally I had to come back later to pick up the form that the medical office asked the doctor to complete. Thanks to Regina King and Nicole Hamilton for their help. However; I should not have to be in between two medical offices to get the job done. It is their job and Hamilton Health Center failed to do their job in a professional manor. VERY POOR JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Incompetent dentists as well as doctors, or what they call them "nurse practitioners". I was told by the dentist that my cavities take priority over my wisdom teeth, but the only thing that was hurting me at the time was my wisdom teeth! After they "fixed" my cavities, I now have more pain and problems than I did ever in my life. I cannot eat sweet stuff or drink anything cold now. On two separate occasions I took my son to the office because he was complaining or a sore throat, cough and running a fever. We were seen by the same nurse practitioner both times and told the exact same thing both visits, "he has a viral infection but since its been a couple of days he no longer needs antibiotics, just Tylenol and fluids. BOTH occasions my son had to be rushed to the emergency room! The first time, he was running a temperature of 103 and almost passed out. The second time, my son woke up with his throat swollen shut and his glands swollen like he swallowed golf balls. BOTH occasions the e.r gave antibiotics and said at the visit to the doctor they should have given his antibiotics and this could have been avoided!

This place is nasty, dirty, crowded, unprofessional, and the staff is very rude, disrespectful, and abrupt." Security staff are extremely inappropriate making comments toward woman patients, making it very uncomfortable to visit the establishment. Please dont get me started on the most dysfunctional pharmacy Ive ever had the unpleasant experience in dealing with. After the doctors appointment I had a pacription called into the pharmacy went to pick it up after waiting what I thought was a very appropriate time for them to fill the medication. I enter the pick up line to be informed I have to first visit the drop off line first. What "very confused" why when I dont have anything to drop off the doctor called it in. Nope you still have to stand in a drop off medication line with invisible paper work even after the doctor called it into the pharmacy then wait then get into the pick up line to get the medication. Just crazy chaotic dysfunctional pharmacy Ive ever seen. Please if you can get to another doctor and or pharmacy do it.

Id say this is the most unprofessional doctors office ive ever seen. I saw "Dr". Sheku Idriss. I was dumbfounded by the way he acted and his knowledge to medicine. I am on an antidepressant. Cymbalta. Which you have to SLOWLY and i mean SLOWLY cut the dosage down and it takes a long time to get off. Ive tried before with my previous Dr but stayed on it since i had to many withdraw symptoms. My insurance no longer is accepted at my regular Dr office so i switched here. Dr. Idriss told me i can quit the drug at any time without any effects. This startled me as it could kill me just quit cold turkey. He then said he wouldnt do anything else about it since he didnt prescribe the medicine. He then gets up, opens the door and says if i have diabetes or high blood pressure to make an appointment and then he can see me and walks away. I will never return, id rather pay to see my previous doctor. As this man isnt a doctor at all, hes a moron that will end up killing someone.

I have been affliated with this organization for the past 11 years. The doctors, dentists and staff are committed to providing excellent care. The organization has five sites in the city of Harrisburg and while I agree the buildings are old and over crowded, the care me and my child gets there is beyond compare. The good part is that Hamilton is getting a new building in 2012 - long overdue!. This will provide more space for medical and dental services to be provided. I personally know people who would have died by now if it wasnt for Hamilton. Did you know that Hamilton provides medical, dental and social services to all people even if you dont have insurance? I would recommend this company to any and everyone if you want people who genuinaly care about you.

My experiences? When I needed help, to get through DDD and arthritis, I was given a run around with different medications, that didnt help my back or hip, over months. I cut weight, quit smoking and a few other things to help. Then Im told by Physician Assistant, that they have a policy of not prescribing Narcotics. Theres times where you need help, you didnt want in the first place. You come to find out from professionals elsewhere, theres no reason to deal with anyone, that would have a policy like that. It shows how highly they think of their patients. I will not take my business or be part of a thought process, that has a so called policy, that groups their patients as drug seeking or unqualifed for all treatments available.

I went to an appointment at the NEW LOCATION on 17th St., this past Thursday, Dec 12. The new facility is beautiful, departments are well marked so its easy to find your way around. Its like a hospital; you can see any number of specialists, a dentist, get a prescription filled, or see a GP (general practitioner). One stop shopping. The location was easy to find, and there was plenty of parking. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I liked my doctor, and I did not feel rushed through the appointment. I will definitely return here for medical services in the future.

I payed 70 dollars for emergency walk in exam. I only got a partial tooth exam on the teeth that are bothering me. the purpose of this is to get my specific tooth done in a shorter time, was scheduled far too long in advanced too get work done. wich defeated the purpose of a emergency walk in exam. was scheduled for consultation October 31st was scheduled for root canal January 9th need to pay for full tooth exam still. I could of just waited to pay for a full exam and get the same scheduled results. They took my money and didnt give me what I payed for.
