April 2016 was my first interaction. I discovered them as they were the only ones offering a pain management device in the area. After filling out the paperwork and being seen I was told that due to my insurance I would need to get authorization, not a surprise. What was a surprise was when I got called two weeks later that while I was approved there was an issue, the procedure could only be done in their surgical center and their center was not taking my insurance. The staff should of known of this issue not let me find this out after I had already driven up there for an eval. This wasnt a what can you do for me visit, this visit was made with clear expectations of pursuing the procedure. After learning they dont take insurance I backed away from the procedure but they informed me they would pursue getting their center into the insurance program, that it would take a couple of months and that they would call me. Fast forward to October of 2016, no calls. I reached out to them to learn that 1)no one knew if the center was in the program and 2) no one had it written down to reach out to me. I was told they would call me back within a day or two. Two weeks later and 3 calls from me I finally got my call back. I was informed that united only gives out applications for a limited number of centers so they were out of luck. However they would call me back in 1 to 2 days to see if they could do the procedure in the office. As you can guess no call received and not only that it took me to call them in November to learn they were no longer doing the procedure. Ive not seen failure on this level in a long time.

I am 36 years old with Rheumatoid Arthritis in over 50 joints. I have had RA since I was 6 years old and have been seen by the best of the best my entire life. I cannot remember the name of the gentleman I saw but he told me I did not have RA & the medication I was on was incorrect and the pain medication I was on was too high/too strong and completely unnecessary. What a slap in the face! I was so insulted that He would tell me Walter Reed, Hopkins, & Childrens were ALL WRONG in their diagnosis and treatments!!! I would LOVE to see that man get over 200ccs of fluid removed from ONE joint in ONE sitting every month and THEN tell me my pain meds are too strong!!! I wouldnt recommend these guys if they were the only practice in MD AND they PAID ME to be seen!!! Received an $80 bill afterwards. FOR WHAT!??!!? You didnt do a damn thing for me AND insulted me! GTHOH!!!

Dr. Rao and his staff are great. Dr. Rao listens carefully to patients and he has a great deal of experience in treating pain. He is empathetic and keeps up to date on the latest treatment options. I recommend him highly. His staff is very nice and very helpful. It seems like his practice tries to hire caring people who are genuinely concerned about the well being of their patients.

Dr. Rau is absolutely great. I was looking to have surgery on both neck and mid back. The radial ablation stopped all pain on the neck and mid back so I could delay surgery and not have to continue on harsh pain meds. I recommend him to anyone I hear talking of having surgery. They have quite a few options before you need to try surgery. Wish more orthopedics would try this first!

Dr Rao helped when all other Dr.s told me I had no options other than surgery. Its been 3 years and Dr Rao keeps surprising me with how much he cares and wants me to feel better. His staff is professional and courteous at every office visit I have had.
