Ive been bringing my 4-legged family to Palmer Animal Hospital for 21 YEARS! Convinced of their dedication when Dr Palmer, pre-dating emergency clinics, left his family in Frederick at the movies when I paged him, yes, this was ages ago, when my golden retriever was hit by a car. Thats dedication! His response clinched my dedication! Since then, Palmer Animal Hospital vets were an active team in my kitty family living a happy healthy life till ages 20 and 23, despite one of them with diabetes. This writing came about while researching a diet change for our 15 year old golden experiencing what may be cognitive dementia. Dr Palmer made the suggestion yesterday when I brought him in for initial testing. Since Dr Palmers recommendation of Hills RX diet k/d for our diabetic kitty who lived a happy 20 years, Im not wasting time & second guessing, as Palmer has always been straight forward with me, so were ordering Hills RX diet b/d to get our 15 year old a healthy diet change before succumbing to meds. In summary, after 21 years of personal experience, I highly recommend Palmer Animal Hospital for all your dog and cat veterinary needs, as they are true advocates for 4 legged pets, knowledgeable, conservative, affordable, & will involve you in any decision process with full explanation of options.

We have been taking our dog here since we got him a year and a half ago, and couldnt be happier. The staff is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. I dont mind taking the half hour - 45 minute drive from our house (which is almost in New Market) to Palmer Animal Hospital. When we adopted our dog from our friend, she had been taking him here just because it was close to her house. So with his first visit that we had to take him to after adopting him from her, we were VERY pleased. And Im a hard one to please. They dont rush through appointments to get as many in as possible. They answer ALL of our questions..and yes I have a lot of them :) and they offer extra things for you to buy, but they dont hound you like a used car salesman. We will definitely continue to take Rocky here and all of our pets in the future.

My wife and I took our cat to Palmers Hospital after she had a two hour trip in a borrowed infected carrier. Tat was the only thing we could conclude that made her sick. She had a terrible sinus and chest infection the next day and Palmers fixed her up with no problems at all. They treated my little girl like I would. We also take our two eighty pound dogs to them for checkups and visits when they have trouble. Im confident they know what they are doing and dont do unnecessary testing. Great prices and friendly staff.

Just the best, Dr Palmer took care of our Beagle for 10 years, he was quite the fixer upper when we got him, but the Doc took good care of him and got Sal back to good health; for the next 9 years till age finally caught up with him. Since he has seen two our cat. Both of our animals where rescues who had there share of problems when we got them. The prices are more than reasonable, but the care does not suffer in the least for that discount. These folks obviously put the Animals first.

Ive brought my dog here for about five years, but I know others who have used the practice for longer. The vets Ive had have been knowledgable, matter of fact, and understanding. They also dont bully you into unnecessary procedures; they are very sensible. Recently my dog had a severe illness that they treated effectively and quickly once they knew what was wrong, and they included me in the decision process.

Stormy & his family LOVE the staff at PAH. Everyone is positive, helpful, caring, and TRULY know their patients. Stormy really likes it when he has a SPA DAY with Mrs. Palmer and her REALLY nice assistants. When we come to pick him up, he trots out to us and is VERY proud of his appearance! The staff is very patient and supportive in every way.They obviously care about your animals and have the most up to date technology available. Ive been going to this practice for over 20 years and I highly recommend them. They are very knowledgeable and the hours are good. I have also boarded my dogs there numerous times and I always feel confident they are getting the best of care.

I love Palmer Animal Hospital!! The veterinarians and staff are absolutely fantastic. They take time with you and your pet to listen to your questions and concerns. I have never felt rushed and I usually dont have a long wait like at other vet offices. Also, there have been emergencies with my pets and they seem to manage to fit them in and take good care of them.

Dr Palmer and his team do an outstanding job!!! The staff are extremely kind and courteous, and always make us feel right at home. Dr Palmer put my mind at ease when it came to diagnosing Finns ailments. After some blood work and observation, he quickly identified Finns problems and had a treatment plan worked up.
