9/18/15 ... In the past week and a half one of my dogs was critically ill, and the care and consideration we were shown, was, as usual phenomenal. And with their care, our 17 year old bichon is doing as well as can be expected for a dog his age. I cannot imagine taking my bichons to any other vet. The drive from Potomac is well worth it. Ive been asked before, (having been involved in bichon rescue for many years), who I would recommend in Montgomery County. My reply is, if there was someone in Montgomery County Id recommend...thats where Id go. I go to Frederick because Kingsbrook is the BEST!! 3/18/15 ...For those of you who dont know, KB has just added the services of Dr. Susan Dannis, a veternarian who does acupuncture. We have taken our Duke a 16.5 year old Bichon Frise and he is seeming to do better. Just another reason to consider going to Kingsbrook......Ive found Dr. Dannis to be as caring and loving to our Duke as everyone else at Kingsbrook. I live in Potomac, MD and drive the 26 miles to Kingsbrook to take my dogs for the BEST veterinary care in MD. I have been involved in Bichon Rescue for 20 plus years and since they have been in business, Kingsbrook has been our "go to vet".... They have always treated our rescues with as much love and care as they have our personal pets. If you have a Bichon Frise.....KINGSBROOK IS THE PLACE TO GO... I can positively say, I believe that Kingsbrook has treated more bichons frises than any other vet in Maryland and knows Bichons better than any vet in Maryland. If you want to go to a vets office, that in addition to caring veterinarians and also has a loving, caring and knowledgeable staff...then Kingsbrook is the place for you to go.

Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is second to none. We have taken the family dog there since he was 10 weeks old. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. The front desk staff even helps me get in the door when I have the kids with me. (And they always offer toys and coloring books and crayons to the kids) They are more than accommodating on an emergency basis and can always fit you in. Everyone is so knowledgeable and always fills me in on what they are doing and plan to do. The doctors are all so friendly and get right on the floor and snuggle my big dog as if he were theirs. The technicians are always so sweet and help explain the different information for vaccines and medications. I recommend them to everyone I know who has any kind of animal, not just a cat or dog. They are so open with their facility and gives tours to their clients and explain all their different machines and procedures they can do in house. They are always extremely up to date with their equipment and techniques. For years they were the only place around that even had a laser to do certain procedures. You truly feel like part of the family when you go there. You always receive a follow up call the next day to check on your pet after they have had any type of procedure, big or small. I will never go anywhere else and even when I lived in Virginia Beach for a few years I would always schedule our check-ups at Kingsbrook around times we were coming to Frederick to see family. They are the best!!!

Where to begin. After nursing an underweight GSD for several months and two vets I had given up hope. A friend refered me to Kingsbrook and I figured it couldnt hurt. Imagine my suprise when my appointment turned into a 90 minute visit with various suggestions regarding both a diagnostic and treatment plan. Just so you dont think its a mistake I said 90 minutes. That was more time than all the other vets combined had spent with me. The vet presented all my options along with her opinion and answered all of my questions without once making me feel like an idiot. She addressed all of my puppies medical issues while putting to rest any fears I was having. Amazingly enough they discovered the issue and within a month Leo had gained almost 10 pounds. I have heard people mention they push unnessary test but lets make one thing very clear. If your pets life hangs in the balance do you want a 5 minute consultation and another bottle of pills to treat the symptoms or would you prefer a treatment plan as thourough as the one your doctor gives you to help diagnise the problem. Its not upselling, its called being competent and thorough. For me the answer is clear. Kingsbrook will continue to provide the best medical coverage for Leo until the day he leaves me and their quality of care will help ensure thats a long way off.

Several years ago, I began my search for a veterinarian that could provide compassionate and loving care to my elderly beagle, Maggie. She was quite up there in age (15 years I think), was slowing down a bit, and while I had no problems with my previous veterinarian, I just wanted to find a veterinary office that went a step above as Maggie truly was the key to my heart. I did some searching and came upon Kingsbrook Animal Hospital and I can say with every ounce of confidence that I found the absolute best when I found them! The care and compassion that these people provide is without a doubt, a step above the rest. Dr. Morse Davis is the veterinarian that I usually see when I visit there, but every single person at this hospital is amazing: from the reception staff, to the technicians, to every one of the veterinarians. You are always greeted with a smile, given every option available to you for the care of your animal, and always receive a call the following day to check in. It is certainly the little things that count. The facility is clean and the technology used in the care of animals from guinea pigs to great danes is state-of-the-art. They not only provide my pet with loving care, but they have also become dear friends of mine.

Kingsbrook animal hospital goes above and beyond to make sure that they treat you and your pet as part of their own family. My 4 pound Yorkie needed to undergo surgery to remove 13 bladder stones and have his teeth removed!! I was terrified to put him into surgery, but everybody at Kingsbrook completely put my mind at ease! Dr. Davis took extra time to explain what was going on with our dog and how he would correct the problem. He even gave my 6th grader a quick biology lesson utilizing the x-rays of our pup! On the day of the surgery the technician personally text messaged me before they started surgery and the staff made several phone calls to keep me updated during and after! They put my mind at ease and assured me he was doing great! Post-op my dog is so much happier and healthier! Not even 1 week later and I have already received three check-up phone calls from Dr. Davis; not because he has to check in, but because I honestly believe he cares about our dog’s recovery! I highly recommend Kingsbrook Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian for their pets. They’re not your ordinary vet clinic. They’re more like a family whose number one priority is to keep you and your pet as happy and healthy as they possible can!
