There were so many things that went wrong I dont know where to begin. The first three visits went well. We have a very sweet golden retriever and we took him here to receive his first year shots. The first visits the vet administered the shots quickly enough that he was not upset or squirming in the process. On the fourth visit we had a vet we never met before. At this time our dog was about 6 months old. Like the other visits he was fine at first. But the vet would stick our dog with the shot and second guess himself and then not inject him- he did this at least 6 times. Our dog - like any dog - began to squirm because he was being continually poked with a needle. At one point the vet asked if one of us could hold him down. While he was holding down his leg the vet missed our dog and stuck my boyfriend with the distemper shot. All of the vet said was oops! and then continued trying to administer the same shot. The Vet stuck my dog and boyfriend to the point where he was bleeding all with the same needle. I kid you not! I wish I was making this up. A few months later we were going out of town and were going to board our dog. We called the office to confirm that our dog was up to date on his shots. The person answering the phone said he was up to date and good to go. Come to find out he wasnt and on the day we needed to leave the boarders called VCA to be informed he wasnt up to date on his shots and he wouldnt be able to stay without these shots AND that they would have needed to be administered 48 hours prior. Furthermore when calling the vet and complaining they apologized and said they would have the manager call us that day. He never called. When switching to a new vet they needed his records- VCA told us we would need to sign a consent. WHAT? Our new vet had never heard of this - this is a dog HIPPA does not apply here. Maybe other people had good experience but between getting stuck with a distemper shot and all of the poor office communication I wouldnt return here even in an emergency.

I recently adopted a 5 month of kitten and was given a free first visit to the VCA. I took my kitten in on Friday 10/21. After spending about 5 minutes with my kitten, Dr. Berard decided that his lymph nodes were swollen and he needed bloodwork. I was informed that I would hear the results first thing Saturday morning. When we got home, I took my kitten out of his carrier and he was COVERED in blood! At 6pm on Saturday, I received a message from Dr. Berard to please call back and speak with Dr. Pell as she was out until Tuesday. When I got a hold of Dr. Pell, she spoke to me in such a rude and condescending tone and asked me what it was I wanted. After explaining to her that I needed the results and next steps, she suggested we do a procedure, but could also start on an antibiotic. Why would a procedure be the first course of action? Clearly the VCA is looking for the highest paycheck. She then told me she could not guarantee the medicine would be ready by noon, which would be 3 hours later. I told her I would like my records as I will not be coming back. I did receive a call that the medication was ready. When I arrived, both my records and the medication were not ready. The service and care for my animal that received were unacceptable and inhumane. Do not go here ever!

We took our cat to VCA Everett and had a very nice experience! The waiting room was clean and calming for the pets and their administrative staff was helpful and gracious. The technician who took vitals, weight, etc was gentle and calm, in addition to the veterinarian (Dr. Lightbody) who was careful and gentle with our timid cat. She took her time with us and made sure to answer all of our questions and address all of our concerns, which we very much appreciated. I also liked that they had all of their exam and vaccine fees available in each waiting room, and we were willing to draw up fair quotes for specialized procedures. We felt that their prices were very fair considering the area - in fact, we brought our cat to VCA Brookline last year and felt that they were higher priced and not up front about their prices or procedures (I was quoted $600 to clean the cats teeth!). All in all, going to VCA Everett was a wonderful practice and I look forward to going back routinely.

I used to go to the VCA in Brookline until I moved, and was glad to see there was a VCA in Everett (I live in Malden). Its not as nice as the one in Brookline but Ive definitely seen worse. The staff are friendly and caring, the veterinarian I bring my cat to always has his well-being in mind. They are offer VetSource Home Delivery for prescription food and medications, which is nice because you can control the autoship features of your food and not have to deal with finding a prescription every time you go out to pick up your pets food. They have a parking lot and will let you take your cat out of its carrier if its on a harness and you feel comfortable with it. My cat is pretty curious so I always bring his harness and leash and let him poke around :)

Theyre extremely nice and caring here. My dog had given birth to a litter of 4 puppies and 3 weeks later she got this REALLY bad infection in her mammary gland. We called and we explained that since it happened so suddenly we didnt have much money at that exact moment but she had to be seen ASAP, so they helped us out and gave us a discount and said we could come back to finish paying. They were able to see my dog, diagnose the infection, give her antibiotics, a cone, and pain medication. They were overall just SO nice, at one point my dog had peed on the towel she was wrapped in, so they gave me a brand new clean one! Everyone who was working there was so generous. Honestly if it wasnt for them, my dog would be dead. Not even exaggerating.

I have been taking my fuzzy one to this place for years--despite the fact that I have moved further up the North Shore and it is now a bit of a drive to get there we remain loyal clients. The front desk staff are knowledgeable, patient, and responsive. The veterinary technicians we have encountered similarly have been uniformly warm and proactive in managing my dogs care. As she has progressed well into her teens now, I feel like my "senior pet" is getting comprehensive and compassionate care at the VCA in Everett. She never qualms at getting into the car to go there as she knows that she will be treated gently and well.

I love the place their very attentive to my pets needs. When theirs an emergency with any of my dogs their are very quick to help me. They understand my needs and they are very helpful when youre a low income family. They make sure that you understand all the procedures and they listen to you and answer all your questions. They doctors and nurses are so loving and patience always with a smile. You feel at home. I could call any given day for the smallest thing and they always are cheerful and ready to help me. SHOUT OUT TO VENICE!!!!
