Beware. We have had pets for many years and multiple vets as well. Hancock Animal Hospital has been hands down the worst experiences of all our previous vets. Our last experience that drove us to change vets was as follows; our dog had ACL surgery and was due to remove her staples from the incision( 5 staples, this takes approximately 5 minutes). We called on a monday for a saturday appointment, when arriving to our appointment we found that they had never entered the appointment into the system and we were told that they did not have enough time to get us into the schedule (this was told to us 40 minutes later). I asked to speak to the Vet for 40 more minutes and was told repeatedly that she was going to come out but she never did, this was Dr.Davis. I waited for a total of 1hr and 40 minutes and never once did the vet come out to talk to us. I have never in my life in any type of service industry, been treated the way we were treated that day at Hancock Animal Hospital. I would never refer anyone to this place or trust that they are capable of being a full service vet to any animal. They had also given us false opinions on our pets orthopedics issues that was contradictory to our orthopedic surgeon. I would never recommend anyone to this vet.

Drop dog off at 9 in the morning for a teeth cleaning. We were told sha was the only appointment for a procedure. Called at 12:30 to she how she was doing and was told she had not even been taken yet. She had not eatten or had anything to drink since the night before! Needless to say I was very upset. She was finally taken in at 1 and when picked up later in the day she had a piece of fetus stuck to her tail! I paid $550 for her teeth cleaning and now feel as though I was over charged since a neighbor told me she only paid $350 for the same thing at the Weymouth VCA. I am not happy with this situation and will be thinking about changing vets.

i am so grateful for Dr. Wember. My dog has had surgery there as well as all of his vaccines and check ups and each time I feel totally comfortable and secure that he is in dr. Wembers care because he truly cares about the pets and their owners and takes the time to call me personally and tell me step by step what to do with my dog. He isnt money hungry like a lot of other vets, he never pushes extra vaccines and/or procedures, instead he tells me what should be done and what my dog can do without. i dont trust my dog with ANYONE, I am always so skeptical but I can honestly say that I trust dr. Wember whole heartedly.

Dr. Wember has been a great vet for my dog and two cats. When my other cats were 20 years old and had to be put to sleep he was very caring and recommended the best advice. Although having a pet can be expansive he does not charge too much and you can have a double pet discount where you can bring in all the cats a dogs and you get one appointment fee. He doesnt charge over absorbent fees which is good and his staff are very friendly. I take my cats there anytime they are sick and he is the 1st one I run to! Check him out, office is kinda shabby he might need some design help but the service is very good.

A neighbor recommended Hancock Animal Hospital when I fired VCA for roughing up my sick cat who ended up injuring the vet. Dr. Wember was very kind and understood my concern for my ailing feline. He was gentle, kind and whispered sweet nothings to my cat who, in turn, showed her belly and submitted to an exam and a vial of blood for testing without needing a vet tech! The office visit is 1/2 the cost of other vets and I never feel pressured to pay for unnecessary tests. The staff is helpful and caring also. I highly recommend Hancock Animal Hospital.

Dr. Wember and staff are always there for me. I have older dogs and they always have some issue that needs attention. Today I brought my 13 year old toy poodle to the office, with no appointment, for an urgent matter. They welcomed him, took him for the day while I went to work, called me occasionally to update me on his care. I really believe that Dr. Wember saved my dogs life today. They are not cheap nor are they expensive. They are kind, professional and responsive. If youre not happy here you might not be happy anywhere.

Cant say enough nice things about Dr Wember or his staff. Really feel at home here! They take good care of my 2 dogs and 4 cats! Have tried other vets in the area and didnt appreciate how I was treated and how my pets were just money makers to them. I truly believe that Hancock Animal Hospital cares about my pets well being and at the same time they are not dragging me over the coals with costs. Very affordable care and knowledgeable staff!!

I have a very nervous large dog. Dr. Wember is kind, gentle and makes my dog feel comfortable with a soothing voice and gentle touch. Although a bit pricey (arent all vets?), the vet never pushes us to give our dog extra tests or medications. I also like the front desk staff- both the woman and young man are attentive, personable and show concern for our dog. Great people, great medical care!

Ive been taking my four cats there for years and am always satisfied with the services they provide. They always put my pets health above all while not suggesting frivolous and expensive treatments. Which is a nice change of pace in this bad economy. Dr Webner, Dr Davis and the rest of the staff are genuinely kind people that not just care for animals but their owners/guardians as well.

I have a tight budget with my 1 1/2 year old, and as I spoke to Yolanda on the phone I was so pleased I didnt even need to call any other places. They are the best. I have been to several other Vets in the area and finally found a place I felt at ease with and trust. I have 3 older rescues, so knowing when I leave after a visit I will not have to re - mortgage my house. God Bless these people.
