I will never bring my pet or refer anyone to this or the other clinics. Because of the horrible job the vet. did on my dog She almost died. We took my dog in because she was pregnant and we were scared, this is our first dog being pregnant. And because he rushed everything he missed diagnosed my dog pregnancy. He said he took an x ray of my dog and said they were the right size for a natural birth giving. A few days later my dog was giving birth to an empty sack and they said that was normal. When she didnt get better and didnt push out the sack, we took her to Angel Memorial Hospital. There they took an x-ray and showed us. The three puppies she had were taking up all the space in her belly because they were too big and she needed a se-section. Because of the doc in south boston wrong and rushed diagnoses all her puppies died inside her and she ended up being septic. They had to operate to remove the dead puppies,her ovaries, so now she cant have any puppies and my dog almost died. It cost me $3,000 for everything and all this could have been avoided if he did not rush and actually looked at the x-ray.

They treat us like family. Thats the headline. My Pugs and I have been clients of Dr. Natalie Waggener for a decade now. I cant imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Waggener (or Dr. Wags, as I like to call her) and her team understand that these arent just pets. These are members of our family. The people at SBAH take their time. They answer questions. They help the humans understand what is going on with the furry members of our family. And most importantly, they understand that our pets really are part of the family. The staff at the SBAH take pride in getting to know each of their clients and the humans they own. Their expertise isnt just the mechanics of veterinary medicine, but rather the care of our furry family members. I look forward to the second decade of great healthcare for my pack.

This place is amazing. The entire staff is very patient and friendly. In particular, Dr. Waggener has been amazing in making a timid rescue feel right at home... to the point that he actually wants to visit when we go by the entrance on a normal walk. Shes also takes her time to explain everything and make sure all of your questions are answered. The new location looks great and was smartly designed with spacious and bright exam rooms that dont make the animals feel closed in, as well as having other design features that really reflect how much they are about their patients. Highly recommended.

I recently moved to South Boston with my boyfriend and our new puppy. I came upon the South Boston Animal Hospital and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Dr. Waggener is so incredibly sweet, caring, etc. She gives great advice and never seems to be rushing you out to get to her next appointment at all. Not only is SBAH lucky to have her, but the technicians there are so sweet as well! Every time I walk in they completely spoil my pup, and Im so pleased! They give him hugs, kisses, treats, etc and his tail is wagging the entire time.

Ive been here a few times with two different cats. My first time here was to put down my cat Smoke who was old and sadly ready to move on. The team here was very polite and accommodating to me. A few weeks later I received a thoughtful hand written card of condolences from the staff and they even inked an image of his own paw onto the card. I found that to be very sweet. I also recently brought my other cat there who was suffering from a UTI and she received great care. Very nice animal hospital.

I had to come here when I was living in Boston for a few months. It was super easy to make a same-day appointment, the clinic is spotless, and the vet we saw was very caring and knowledgeable. Were lucky that we just had some allergies to deal with, but I definitely feel comfortable recommending them overall for people in the area!

Waited for an hour on my first appointment. The front desk staff are disorganized and rude. People who had missed their appointments and came in after me were somehow seen first. A dog peed on the floor and nobody cleaned it up so a pool of urine sat in the corner the entire time I waited and after I left.

They did a great job with our puppy. We have been here for about 3 visits now. The positive Yelp reviews were what directed me here and they were spot on. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. It was also a breeze making an appointment. Would recommend to fellow pet owners.
