I came to Aspen Dental because I was on the GE Wellness dental discount program, and they were the only ones in the area that accepted it. I had a killer toothache, so it was an emergency. First, they force you to do 360 degree xrays which, conveniently enough, are more expensive and not covered. Then, they forced me go through a full check-up, including having each one of my teeth checked and counted by the dental hygenist (someone whose services are also not covered) - I was told I couldnt opt out of this, even though I wasnt there for a cleaning or routine check-up, but rather as an emergency *pain* situation, which, by the way, they did not help with at all throughout the entire process. After sitting for an hour in one of a line of chairs, waiting as the non-english-speaking dentist *removed* a filling I had (despite my begging her repeatedly not to), and did a routine checkup - again, she did NOT address the problem I had, which was the entire reason for my being there - I was then ushered out to the waiting room again. An HOUR later, I was still sitting there, wondering what I was waiting for, since no one had so much as looked my direction. Another ten minutes went by, and I was seriously considering just bailing out of there, but, as I mentioned I was in pain, and I thought at some point someone might address it. Finally, a sloppy-looking woman with a scowl on her face appeared and called my name to follow her to her office, mumbling something about how shed forgotten I was waiting for her and had gone to lunch in the meantime. THANKS. Then, she showed me a bill for allllllll of the services that they intended to render on my teeth - over $5,000 worth, NONE of which would be covered under my dental plan. Upon looking closer, I found out why - theyd classified everything in a different way to make it sound like it was going to be surgical operations when it wasnt, thereby making each service outside the bounds of the discount plan. SNEAKY. THEN, she tells me I had gingivitis - my heart sunk, and I must have been obviously upset because she said "oh, dont worry, 99% of people have it." She tried to tell me that I had to buy a special mouthwash from them and have the dental hygenist clean my teeth - a service that, again, wouldnt be covered, nor would the $45 mouthwash. I told her wed have to "prioritize" because I couldnt afford 500 bucks, let alone 5,000. The woman rolled her eyes and said "Ugh, you HAVE to. Do you want your teeth to fall out?" Not professional, not helpful, they DONT take the GE Wellness Plan despite the fact that they claim to, and they didnt even take care of the pain at all. AND it cost me $250 just for that waste of a day. Ive been to a lot of dentists in the past, some better than others, but Aspen Dental is BY FAR the worst dental experience I have ever had.

Never in my life have I EVER experienced such awful customer service. My mother is a customer of aspen dental and has been for 3 years. She had dealt with low self esteem due to her teeth for many years and I knew it was time for her to feel good about herself and get dentures. She was recommended to aspen dental and that was mistake number one. Service since day one from the front desk staff was terrible at the Raynham Ma location. Most of it was just dealt with because she needed these dentures so bad. Everything was going fine with the dentures until very recently when all of a sudden the TEETH were falling out of the denture plate. We are now going on the third time. I have never seen my mom so down and upset about this because this was the main reason she was got dentures was because she was missing teeth in her smile and now she is back to square one with dentures!!! I understand that this is common to happen but the point to the story is that is was terribly handled. After the third tooth lost they made her wait 5 days until the tooth could be replaced. 5 days without a front tooth. The new appointment was scheduled for today, Monday July 18th at 10:30 am. We received a phone call that the appointment had to be rescheduled to Tuesday at 8:30 am because the technician "called out" after already waiting 5 days and not being treated like priority. THEN we received another phone call saying that appointment had to be CANCELLED because the technician was "out of town". Then the story flipped and we were told after it was because "the technician was new and didnt trust her fixing the teeth". I couldnt take it anymore so I called for my mother and spoke to the lady who answered the phone (Carol). I politely was speaking to her and she responded back with "I dont need to hear your attitude we are doing everything we can". After being so frustrated I asked to speak to the manager and she refused. She also REFUSED to give me her name after countless times of asking and was talking over me. I am sorry but what me and my mother experienced is wrong and traumatizing especially to my mother. She has now missed 3 work days because of the appointments, the appointment changes, and not wanting to work with a missing denture tooth! Unfortunately for her, the aspen dental commercial that states "get your smile back" does not apply as I sit hear and watch her in tears over this.

This is the worst experience of my life! I have warned all my work associates not to ever go to Aspen Dental. I unfortunately went 4 times....each more miserable than the last. I am 73, disabled, work fulltime overnight in retail. I would arrive on time for appointments...and be left ignored laid out on a hard uncomfortable table-chair for HOURS as if I were of no more importance than the wastebasket. Priority was given to any walk-ins without appointments as they could bang up an estimate for each one of $3,500-$4,000 ....leaving me literally writhing in back pain and sufferring from how uncomfortable I was. One appointment was for 3 pm.........the Dr did not bother to greet me or work on me until the entire office was empty and it was 5:15 P.M.! Then and only then did he come in and wrench my back molar back and forth and around and around and out. I have been in pain ever since and the pain is in both the upper and lower jaw. I fulfilled having all the teeth filled.....yet breathing in I still feel as if they never did the cavities correctly. Also the first visit the foreign woman who does scaling and planing was rude, abrupt, and talked down to me all the time...all the while pushing me to purchase a $125.00 toothbrush. I have three College Degrees.....I dont appreciate her derogatory pushy poor customer service attitude and have cancelled any appointments pertaining to her ever touching me. The last time I was there they had a new Dr who had zero patient skills or rapport....also ignored me.....and I had to get up and walk around 5 times while waiting for someone for whom I have absolutely no confidence whatsoever to finally come in and do a terrible non conversational job. What a horrid place and I am filing a complaint with the American Dental Association.
