Shamefully negligent physicians assistants!!! Mine wouldnt test a rash on my arm after I requested as much, gave me tons of medicines with horrible side effects and nothing got rid of it. Im still worried and upset but its going to be weeks before I can get an appointment for them to do what I asked for in the first place, a simple test to find out what the rash is! Its sad, dr desjarlais used t be the best, but his staff doesnt give the standard of care that he was known for. Im going elsewhere and challenging the charges from his office. They did nothing but endanger me and cause severe discomfort. Thats for a rash, cant imagine putting my faith in them for cosmetic procedures, since they simply dont care about patients. Id go elsewhere if I were you.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Desjarlais for about 15 years. He actually saved my life. I was on alot of phyche medication plus other medication at the time of my Father dieing...all the medicine combined was eating my skin from the inside out. Literally. Dr. Desjarlais did a skin biopsy and when it came back as negative on everything that I was tested for, he came in the room and said, " Michaella, they are killing you with all this medicine. Your body is turning against itself. Im taking you off of all that stuff." He even called my psychiatrist and basically let them have it about me. He is a very compassionate doctor. Im proud that he has been my dermatologist for so long. I have full confidence and faith in him as a doctor. He is very knowledgeable and wise!

I had a consult (which took me weeks to schedule). I attributed that to them possibly not taking on new patients. The consult was great. Very informative. I wanted to think about things before scheduling Big mistake. I tried for 3 weeks to contact the office again to make an appointment. In my mind, that is purely unacceptable. If they are not accepting new patients, they should indicate so. If they ARE taking new patients the customer service is "lacking", at best. The lapse in communication is not indicative of "professionals" I want involved in my cosmetic treatment. I should not have to TRY to write them huge checks. I will take my business elsewhere.

The PA called my husband and informed him over the phone that his biopsy came back that he had malignant melanoma, in the same phone call they dropped him as a patient. My husbands primary care physician requested all of his records. It took them two weeks and 4 releases before they released them, yet never sent the biopsy report. So, I personally went there and picked it up in person. Only to learn that my husbands biopsy came back benign. Dr. Desjarlais is a great doctor but I made the appt for him and waited 4 months to get my husband in and still he seen the PA. Highly recommended that you see the doctor NOT the PA!!!!

I have been a patient there in the past. My son & I were seen and were not able to pay the co-pay right away. Eventually the bill was paid but they sent me a late fee for only one of us but not the other. I asked if they pick and choose for late fees. Long story short, they refuse to see us again without paying the late fee. If the staff prefers to loose our business over ten bucks then that is what will happen. We can take our business else where. Sincerely, Unsatisfied patient.

It was my first expierce at a dermatologist and I went there for a little less than a year. I was there for my acne and they did extractions with a tool and a blade. The one women had cut my skin too deep to remove this blemish and now my cheek has a large hole in it. I would not reccomend coming here. They were very nice, but now I have a huge unecessary hole in my cheek.

I called for an appointment this morning and was treated with the greatest courtesy and efficiency. I had not been to this office since 2008, and they still had my basic info which I had to update. I was able to get an appointment in a week and learning how to register on the patient portal. My last memory of the 2008 visit was also of being very satisfied.

I have been seeing Dr. Desjarlais for over 20 years. I am very happy with all the care I have received. He is a caring and informative doctor. My son and my husband are now patients. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.
