Im so impressed! I went there a few days ago for the first time and Im glad I waited until today to write my review. First of all, this is not your everyday doctors office - this office is completely new, spacious, modern and gorgeous, yet set in the woods with beautiful scenery. I literally saw 3 deer on the grounds while I was there. Hard to believe since it is also right near the Whole Foods plaza off Washtenaw. The check-in was a breeze - I am a new patient, yet I didnt have to fill out any paperwork?! Nope, I walked in, confirmed my insurance info with a very sweet receptionist, made one electronic signature, and went to make a coffee (they have a Keurig with a few flavors but hey its not a coffee shop) and before it was even done brewing I was called to be taken to my room. The exam room was huge with big windows facing the woods. I really did not feel like I was about to have a medical appointment. The doctor and her assistant came in a couple minutes later, SAT DOWN to speak with me, and we talked about all of my questions while her assistant was doing all of the documentation on an ipad. Dr. Ganger is so nice! She answered all of my questions, she took her time, and she asked me a lot of questions as well. Again, I was very impressed. The reason I am glad I waited until today to write my review was because the medication she gave me has already worked. By the way, she prescribed it on the ipad, and when I left, I literally drove out of their parking lot and into Walgreens across the street to pick it up. Without getting into details, Ive been having the same problems for years and Ive tried every natural/home remedy I could with no success, so I finally decided to talk to my regular doctor about it who then referred me to Dr. Ganger. Hope this is all helpful - I am very impressed with everything about this office!

The first time I came to Ganger Dermatology, I was happy. I got a mole removed and it was quick and easy. The office is very new and the staff was friendly. The second time I came for a skin problem that I needed to be diagnosed correctly before I left for Europe within a week, which I expressed to them and they understood. I was diagnosed with eczema by Dr. Ganger, though the assistant expressed that she thought it was scabies. Scabies, something very easily treatable, only involves a lotion that gets washed off several hours later. I left for Europe with scabies, an incredibly contagious skin lice, thinking I had eczema. Imagine being the person who sat next to me on an eight hour plane flight. Although the scabies lotion is sold over the counter in Europe, language was a complete issue and it was very difficult for me to treat overseas, especially when I could have been treated without harm before I left (a move I still dont understand why they didnt take). I called again for a third time in order to remove a wart, something I was sure I could trust them with due to my experience with my mole. I called and left a message, they called back, but the call didnt go through and instead of calling me back like I would have expected, I never heard from them. For those of you who attend this dermatologist, you know how challenging it is to get a hold of them. Its like playing a unprofessional game of phone tag through a voicemail machine. All in all, rely on them for simple and incredibly obvious diagnoses. For the harder, more blurred issues, they could get it wrong. I do not plan on going to Ganger Dermatology any longer due to the consistency of bad experiences over good ones.

I had some circumstances that did not allow me to make my appointment at around 3:45 (Currently have the flu and my day care provider would not allow me to be late picking my daughter up like I had previously discussed with her... another thing entirely) I called the office around 10 or 11 AM trying to reschedule and make it work. I was told that that there would be a fee for canceling. I didnt say anything since this is a normal practice in most doctors offices but said I didnt want to get charged and that I would make it work today but asked if I could get in earlier in the day. They told me I was welcome to come in early and try to get in. I said fine but I dont want to make the trip there (I live in Tecumseh) sit there for an hour or more to not be able to be seen until my appointment, then still be late picking up my daughter (defeats the purpose).. the woman put me on hold and then returned to tell me that even if I came in early I wouldnt be able to be seen. and that I should just bring my daughter with me... to an appointment which I was hoping they would be removing said skin issue. ALSO mind you my daughter is 18 months and into everything (which I explained to the lady) we then sat in a moment of silence before I canceled my appointment and will not be going back. I understand charging fees for people who just dont show up or call but I was clearly making an effort and trying to make it work for everyone... Very careless customer service skills.

I decided to go to Ganger Dermatology because of the great reviews. I was quoted for around $80-90 for preliminary exam on the phone. I received a bill for over $150. That bothered me, but I can live with that. I just hate how someone would tell you one thing then something else happens. Whatever. I spoke with the doctor and she stated that she couldnt help me even though my skin condition was very minor. It seemed she was very non-confident of herself. I insisted I wanted to move forward then she agreed with would have to be done over a series of procedures. even though it should have taken 1-2 hours. I think was done to make more money. Terrible business practice. I decided to go to another dermatologist with experience in Ann Arbor. She agreed to carry out the procedure which took about 1 hour total. But then again, she has more experience then all 3 doctors here combined here at Ganger Dermatology. I felt this place was more of a spa than a doctors office. They lack a lot of knowledge and seem very non-confident in themselves. If you are looking for a real doctors office, go elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would not recommend. Stay away if you want someone with skill and knowledge.
