My husband and I recently moved to the Howell/Brighton area. At the time I was pregnant and under the care of an OB/GYN. I updated our primary care physician to be Dr. smith and called the office to see if I should be seen and was told "no" by the receptionist, Nicole. After delivering my son I had a rash that the OB wanted me to see a dermatologist for immediately. Dr. Smiths office couldnt see me for a "couple of months" according to Nicole who answered the phone. I called back to ask if I could see the Nurse Practitioner for a referral and spoke with Patty. She was a bit more helpful and ran the situation past Dr. Smith and she told me that he wasnt comfortable with the NP giving a referral and suggested that I call my old PCP to ask them to issue the referral. I explained that Blue Care Network wouldnt accept the referral as they were no longer my PCP and she told me it would be several weeks before I could see Dr. Smith. This was the 2nd rude encounter that Ive had with his office staff and it resulted in a $500 trip to the ER because I couldnt get a referral. I will be changing my doctor ASAP.

I have been going to Brighton Family Care since 2003 I started out with a Doctor Thompson but he moved on around 2006 and I then I was transferred to Doctor Mark Zawisa who I have been seeing ever ever since and I couldnt be any happier. Dr. Zawisa is an awesome Doctor he has a great bedside manner and is very thorough. He has helped me through some very difficult times in my life and my health which is very challenging. If he can not handle your situation he will refer you to a specialist. He does not rush out of the room and will talk to you about whats going on and he makes you feel comfortable to where you can talk to him about anything with no shame or embarrassment and genuinely cares for his patients. I highly recommend this practice and all the people that work here are very professional, kind, and courteous and friendly!

I am a long term recovering addict and I am taking gabaprntion for pain/anxiety and been on it for almost a year and now they are trying too take it from me. Demanding that I see a therapist. I already go to counseling one on one and group therapy. I also work full time. So i dont have time to do all this. Not to include that im on medicade and do you know how hard it is to get in and see a physiotherapist within a month. They are Extremely rude to you especially if you are recovering addict. 2 stars is being nice!!!!!!

I see Dr. Zawisa and he is wonderful. I have never been turned away and have always felt very confident in the medical care I have received from Dr. Zawisa and Brighton Family Care. My parents also see Dr. Zawisa and he saved my fathers life by ordering a test when the cardiologist would not listen to my dad. The test came back very bad and my dad was sent right to the surgeon. It is a special doctor that cares that much about his patients.

Dr. Vorias is rude and shows no compassion. Very poor listener. Had to see her because regular doctor was out of the office, will NEVER make that mistake again. Would rather wait for hours at urgent care than endure her snotty demeanor ever again!!!!

I called to set up a appointment they said the soonest was April that unacceptable I cant wait for my other insurance to kick in so I dont have to go here but they said I can see a nurse so thats what Im doing well will see how it goes

Dr Pawlik has been amazing. She helped me through a difficult time in my life, I felt like she went above and beyond and truly cared about me. I would highly recommend her.

The front desk is always polite and helpful. The nurses are very caring and attentive, but good luck when it comes to the doctors.
