We had a terrible experience when having our dog neutered. I called for a quote and then it ended up being another $100 additional charge the day we dropped him off. This was not at all clearly explained when I called nor was it considered mandatory when I went for the pre-exam. In addition to this, when I went to pick him up after the surgery, I could hear him crying in the back...they said he had been crying all day :( When we were leaving, they couldnt remember (nor was it documented) whether or not he had external stitches that would need to be eventually removed. After asking someone in the back, the technician confirmed he did not have external stitches and did not need to return. However, I received a call a little over a week later asking for him to return to remove the stitches. I explained that they told me he did not have to return when I picked him up. The girl had to call me back after she called the doctor to verify. How can that not be clearly documented? We do not recommend this vet. In fact we started at Village Animal Climic first and had similar displeasing service - rushed appointments, unclear cost explanations and no sense of reassurance. Im disappointed to say that we will not be returning to either of these two places....

I would not recommend this place at all. I took my dogs there for a few months and found this place extremely expensive. They look at you weird, when you ask about prices. They do additional tests without asking you directly and you always end up paying 3-4 times more. They have no compassion for you when it comes to paying your bill. There is one female doctor Jennifer Bartolucci who in my opinion is rude and unpleasant to deal with. Always late and I felt rushed though the appts. I have spent hundreds of dollars for their treatment and which did not help at all. I have paid for unnecessary lab tests b/c of her lack of knowledge. She will make you see her a few times before getting your medicine and she will never give you enough medicine so you are forced to come back and pay for another visit. They hire underqualified teenagers who are very sweet but make mistakes and overcharge. In addition, this place is so small and uncomfortable; you can hear them making bad comments and jokes about you behind closed doors. Please do not go there, I found a great Vet in Farmington hills!

Caring for animals is much more expensive these days. I like the Country Ridge Animal Hospital approach of being medically very informative without adding pressure to purchase add-ons that pad the bill. I also like the online alerts and notification system for immunizations and health care update details. Country Ridge also is very helpful with forwarding any of my dogs needed information for the kennel stays. As the owner of a dog that has had many health issues throughout the years and a dog that is seemingly developing arthritis, I was pleased to learn of the Care Credit option accepted by Country Ridge for assisting with animal medical bills if costs should become an issue. In short, I enjoy being a part of the Country Ridge Animal Hospital family!

I cannot rave enough about the staff at Country Ridge. I have counted on them to maintain the health of my pets (dogs) for many years. They have been there during the entire lifetimes of my beloved animals. Even at the saddest times they showed sensitivity and extreme thoughtfulness. It is evident every visit how much they love and care for animals. I will always know that I am giving my pets the care that they deserve at Country Ridge. They treat all of us like family and Luna is always so happy to see them. They take to time to greet her and are genuinely please to see her, giving her so much affection even with their busy schedules. Her reaction and love for them is the best evidence of all! Trys to up sell unnecessary services and products. Yes the staff will smile and be very friendly. Soon as you meet with the assistant she will be trying to probe for issues. The prices are ridiculous. They try to use a guilty trip to sell me more things that I need. I get it. Its a business before helping animals. They know vulnerable customers will pay for whatever they recommend by fear something could or may happen if I dont do something now. They once took a X-ray of my dog and gave me the hardest time releasing them stating its not my property. I would recommend Angel animal hospital on grand river in Farmington hills. They are in the business of helping animals.

My cat and I are new clients to this hospital and we love it! They were very friendly, up front and our wait time was short. We got right in at our appointment time and my cat, who is a scardy-cat and afraid of everything, was treated with love and compassion. I will definitely be bringing him back. A much better experience than I had when I got his booster shots and neuter done at a place in Auborn Hills a few years ago. I have been afraid to take him back to the vet ever since that horror show but Dr. Quinn and Nichole we very welcoming and informative.

I would recommend Dr Platz & her staff in a heartbeat! I have a 10mth old puppy and am glad that I chose Country Ridge and Dr Platz. The techs are great...always very thorough and considerate in making follow-up calls after an appointment. Dr Platz is great too!! The times that I have been to the clinic she has been very clear about different tests/medications, etc. She truly cares and I wouldnt want to take my dog to any other clinic. The clinic is always clean and the staff is always enjoyable. Great place to take your pets!!

I am a first time dog owner and the staff at Country Ridge has been great. They are always so friendly and helpful with my many questions. Everything from procedures to costs are explained upfront and they always confirm with me before doing anything that will add additional costs. There has never been any surprises on my bill. I had to take my dog to another 24 emergency vet (after hours) due to her eating something and their follow up with that issue was great as well. They all seem to truly care for our baby. Thank you.

I came in a few days ago to purchase some prescription diet food for my cat Belle. They were out of the item I needed, but said it would be ordered and be available in a day or two. I received a call two days later saying the food was in and that they had saved a bag for me under my name. I appreciate the personal service I received. The staff here has always treated me and my animals very well and I appreciate their professionalism.

We just had our first experience with Country Ridge and it was very positive. The staff are all really nice and we met with Dr. Kavanagh (normally out of the sister location, Village Animal in Farmington) who did a great job explaining everything. Also, if you are just going in for shots, they do a free exam and only charge you for the vaccinations, which is great and it is a full exam! I would recommend these guys to anyone.
