THIS REVIEW IS NOT FOR THE OLD CLINIC RUN BY DR. JOHNSON, This is the recently opened clinic. If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. One star is far too generous. Our visit was Sunday February 26, 2012. My son had a cough all week, but he was feeling good and with cough meds it seemed to be just a cold. Then naturally come Friday night, things get worse. By Saturday night he had a terrible cough and a fever. I didnt want to wait until Monday to take him to the pediatrician. After waiting in the waiting room for over 2 hours we were finally called back. The medical assistant asked my son to step up on the scale and after watching her struggle with the scale for several seconds she declares a weight that is a good 13 pounds under his average. I laugh and tell the assistant "no way does he weigh that little" she says, and NOT politely, "thats what he weighs, thats what the scale says" I again tell her that if thats true then he has lost 13 pounds in a weekend and thats crazy. So again she compliments the scale and how correct it is but begrudgingly offers to re-weigh him - heavy on the attitude. So we state that we indeed want him to be weighed again and wouldnt you know it... suddenly hes back up to his average. Ms. Attitude expresses her shock, claims that has never happened before, but does not apologize for arguing with us, or for being wrong. In fact I told my husband she seemed to get more rude with us, like I insulted her and not the scale. She stumbled through the usual medical assistant procedures and questions. And honestly I didnt mind, she wasnt treating my son so her lack of comfort and confidence was not a huge issue with me. Then the doctor came in. I have no idea who she was as she never bothered to introduce herself. I later found out that shes the head doctor there. She looks at what the assistant had written down. I had told assistant that he had a croup like barking cough. So the doc says "he has the croup?" Uh, I dont know what he has... thats why we are here. Then she asks what we have been doing for him, I tell her, she tells us to continue with that and follow up with the pediatrician. She spent all of two minutes in her visit and then was gone. Today after explaining all this to his pediatrician he was shocked she didnt notice all the fluid in his ears. I said she didnt look at his ears. The basic things doctors do, look at throat, ears, feel glands, listen to chest. She did 2 of those. I have never had a doctor so disinterested in a patient and so eager for her patients parents to diagnose the problem for her. If I could do that I wouldnt be there, would I? I honestly dont know why there was a 2 1/2 hour wait, as I could hear her with other patients in other rooms and it seems she has an average of 3 minutes per patient. If I was bleeding to death in their parking lot, I think I would drive elsewhere. It really seemed to be scarily incompetent.

The 1st time I went to this particular Urgent Care I had to wait for a long time which is very typical of Urgent Cares so no big deal. The Dr. appeared to be very nice and very caring and I was glad to have a nice Urgent Care so close to where I live. I was still having issues about a week later and I tried to go back and thats when I realized how weird of hours she kept. She doesnt open til way into the afternoon and isnt even open some days. Kinda weird but I guess if youre the only Dr. running the place then you can pretty much do what you want. I had to drive all the way to Flint for Urgent Care and was treated horribly there. So then yesterday is what really got to me about her. I work in a hospital an hour away from where I live and they had given me a TB test. Obviously you can see why I wouldnt want to drive all the way back to where I work to get it read. Ive had them before and I knew it was negative I just needed to have a Dr. or nurse sign off on it. I didnt think it would be that big of a deal for her to sign the paper but apparently it was. When I went in she was sitting at the desk with a bunch of papers spread out and i just asked her if she could look at my arm and sign the paper. She gave me attitude and said Id need to wait. So I sat down and she had some young girl take me into a room and wanted to do my weight and bp and crap and told me she was gonna charge me to read it. Once in the room I was more then ticked off and kinda let this poor girl have it. I told her I wasnt going to do a bunch of crap when all I needed was for the Dr to look at my arm and sign a piece of paper. I thought she wasnt being very nice. I told the young girl if the Dr didnt want to do it or if she was going to cost me an arm or leg then Id just leave. So the Dr. came in and was still giving me attitude about checking out my arm. I understand if you dont wanna do it so just tell me that and not treat me bad b/c I didnt want to drive 2 hours round trip to have my arm read. So then she tried to joke with me and stuff as I was paying my $10 also ridiculous btw. And in the middle of me paying she makes a phone call to some person and is acting all caring and crap on the phone. I couldnt pay with my debit b/c that would cost her money so I had to write a check b/c she was complaining. I dont carry cash and thought it was kinda dumb b/c she also asked if my checks were good. Overall I didnt think she was a very nice person and I will only go to her if absolutely necessary!!!!

My main issue is with the front desk lady, the one with blonde hair, glasses, and tattoos on her wrist and arm. I work with the public so I understand her job can be stressful. However, when I walked in she told me it would be a few minutes after I signed in before she would give me the paperwork. I thought it kind of odd that she didnt even ask why I was there when I signed in. I waited, and waited, and waited. I watched as she ate candy, had time to go to the bathroom, make phone calls etc. ONE HOUR LATER, you can see I signed in at 12:27 and I was finally called after I signed in at 1:30. She told me that they do not accept insurance for a pre-employment physical. That is fine, I totally get that. What I dont understand is why she never asked why I was there to begin with. Even the dentist office, OBGYN, and regular Primary Dr. receptionist asks why youre there when you show up or give you a friendly greeting. I point blank asked her why she told me a few minutes when it was an hour. This is just bad customer care. By the way, she said all of this with a condescending tone and smile. Please train your staff to ask for reason for visit before making you wait an hour to even speak to them.
