The supporting staff for the Internal Medicine office is completely incompetent!!! Nobody can or will do their job!! Need a referral? Too bad, thats too much like work!! Need your meds refilled? Nope, thats not going to happen either!! From the nurses right up to the office manager, nothing but incompetence, nobody will actually do their job!!! And let us not forget, need to see your doctor before a 6 month time period is up? Nope, thats not going to happen!! Oh, you want me to see the Nurse Practitioner instead of a real doctor that actually knows something about anything? WOW, she is more stupid and incompetent than the rest of them!!! Dont waste your time and your health, they are NOT there to help!!! I have been dealing with this place for over 15 years now and it has gotten worse with every passing year. ALL of U of M has become this way, other than the Physical Therapy clinic at the main hospital. I have tried to complain to get things done and its like bashing my head against a wall, I always get told that nobody is available to take my complaint, but they will call me back and nobody ever does. Its just complete incompetence everywhere that you turn!!

Decent service. Ok for routine, boring, simple things but be careful not to waste your time, money, and Patience trying to avoid the costly E.R. sabbatical. These, and all, clinics seem adept at usurping your hope for "keeping it cheap" like using your own hand to choke yourself. They end up milking that wallet/insurance and then a day or two later, when youre downtown in the big city E.R. yet again, youll see why their "Health System" is a sprawling megaplex installed to feed their own budding 1%ers. Go Blue! Go Obamacare! All hail the rise of the FSAs and HSAs! Do less with more! Boo to the gad-fly patient advocates whining about the union workers who cant be fired. Pat-on-the-back to those working spouses pulling double duty who cant get paid for being a caretaker because its a "conflict of interest". US tax payers thank you in the most substantive-free way possible... that being all the extra stress plus no tax breaks. Sorry, Vaseline is on backorder. If you divorce then you have a chance for being compensated.

Im a diabetic and had my blood drawn in June 2015. Because the clinic is attached to the University Hospital the are allowed to charge more for drawing blood. One vile of blood they charged $390.00 and my co-pay os $96.89. A stand alone clinic would have charged me $30.00. The U of M Docs are great, but the Lab is a rip off. Complain. Ha There is nothing they can do.

The doctors are fantastic and helpful, but the support staff is awful. Been trying to get a call back for my fiances test results for 3 days, they keep saying theyll call back and never do, we follow up the next day, same thing. Why is it okay for healthcare to provide terrible service and get away with it, but any normal business would get reemed out by their customers?

The office considers me a "new" patient because I have not been in for a long time. So the first available appointment is 8 months away......
