Very happy with this hospital and its staff. I went in on December 8th with a miscarriage. I was taken to a room *immediately* (I had just left McLaren where Id have been forced to wait hours before being seen.) The doctor on call, I believe his name was Daniels...(?)...was so very compassionate and caring that I did a double take (I am not accustomed to doctors being very compassionate--I understand they must keep a tough front for their own mental health!), the nurse was also super sweet, and since she was obviously pregnant, I asked her who here OB/GYN is and she recommended Lori Spisak to me, who turned out later in my research to have very high recommendations from others. I was treated quickly--they drew blood and got the test results back to me quicker than Ive ever seen in an ER--and was released with proper medication. As it turned out, I not only miscarried but had a very bad UTI which they caught and gave me treatment for. Thanks, Doctor-Whoever-You-Were, and Nurse-Whose-Name-I-Cant-Remember! What a wonderful team. I will never, EVER, go to McLaren again!

on ssd for a pluther of different reason two of them are sciatica and fibromiaga which are both very painful came in because i fell and after 30 days the pain only got worse not better had me crying out in pain in my sleep. i was asked about medications i take alot so i pulled them up on my app the nurse didnt want to "put them all in" then when the ex ray tech game to take me around the corner to ex ray she hit every wall and shook that bed at every chance she got..after returning from ex ray there was a rt there to give me a breathing treatment but they had a yellow band fall risk on me and i had to use the bathroom..even though i had that band on she left didnt call for another nurse and i walked to the bath room alone did what i had to do got back in bed with out nare a nurse even checking on me. i heard her say to the floor nurse "call me when she id finished" so they knew i was moving to the bathroom. and 15 minutes later a nurse peeked her head in the curtain. GOOD THING I DIDNT FALL I BE DEAD BEFORE THEY FOUND ME

I would have been better off in a garage in Tijuana... Ive been a patient at the st Joseph system for years, and my specialist is affiliated with them in Ann Arbor. So I get a flare up of pain of my condition while Im visiting family here in port Huron, and I decide to go to mercy, thinking "well since they can access my chart Ill be in good hands". Was I ever wrong! Dont let the updated atmosphere fool you, in this case looks are deceiving. The tech took 3 tries to get blood from me, the whole time blaming me for dehydration or having too many ivs in the past (come to find out the rn told me she had trouble doing ivs all night). The dr didnt even know what my condition was, even though they see my chart. And told me that I needed antibiotics and wouldnt even give me anything for my pain. Even though she wanted me to be comfortable. This place was a joke, a waste of time. Go someplace else.

This hospital seems to care for women and the elderly. I took my wife in who is 32 i my self am 28 and they treat her vary well for her migraines. I went in for a knee injury and they put me in a room and left me in there for 3 hours and then a nurse came in and handed me 2 ace bandages had me sign a peac of paper and sed your good to go and i asked how they could send me home without even knowing what was wrong and i was handed a price of paper that sed hurt knee instructions and I asked how i hurt my knee was told the paper covers all knne injurys and to go to my general Dr and dont come back so Im taking there advice and never going back to that hospital again I will gladly deive the extra 8 miles and go to McLaren Port Huron the wate is longer but i see why they treat whats wrong no mater what age you are

I am very happy with Lake Huron Medical Center, I first went to McLaren Hospitl ER with unbearable pain caused by a kidney stone because it was closest to my home. The waiting room was full and I was told I had to wait, the pain was so bad I almost passed out. I waited quite a while and finally left and went to Lake Huron Medical Center. When I got there the waiting room was full but because I was in so much pain they took me right back unlike McLaren, I will never go back to McLaren again. I am very pleased with the treatment I received at Lake Huron Medical Center and definitely would recommend Lake Huron Medical Center over McLaren any day !!!

The nurses were excellent. The female physician assistant I had I thought was rude. I think she thought I was drug seeking, and I wasnt. I had kidney stones a week ago, and still dealing with the pain. I didnt want anything narcotic. But yet she still wouldnt write a script for something as simple as Motrin 800? Wow! Left upset still in pain. I believe this is why they changed their name from mercy to lake Huron. Because they have no mercy anymore.

We had a fabulous experience last night when taking our eight year old to your facility. We were greeted upon entry and cared for promptly (on a Friday night). Each and every nursing staff member we came in contact with was personable and interacted with our child. Radiology was great with including us and letting us know what to expect from their end. The PA made my daughter comfortable and well as her parents

This hospital saved me. I was brought by ambulance on a new years eve, bleeding out from an ulcer. They had nobody on staff to fix me, nobody would take their calls. They did not give up till they found someone. With constant transfusions they kept me alive till she could get there. Theat ER staff is the reason I am alive today.

I went to the ER back when it was Mercy & didnt care for the hospital then. But a few days ago I had a procedure done and I have never been treated so good. All the staff was amazing and so kind! I appreciate how caring and professional they were! Thank you, especially to all the nurses!!!

With or without insurance they did what was necessary, and after using a CT Scan looking for stones found kidney cancer instead. Where others only used x-rays they used a CT scan and found the real cause of my problems. I now may have a longer life because of them.

Feel sorry for staff and patients today. They must be understaffed because my poor brother Ricardo had to suffer waiting to get meds.
