I have been bringing my dogs to the clinic since Dr. Pytel assumed ownership. I cannot say enough good things about the care and service my dogs have received from everyone there. Rates are reasonable too. All the staff are caring and compassionate and are truly interested in my pets. They have been very, very supportive, especially when we went through a difficult couple of years with one of my dogs who had chronic illness. They explained everything and worked with me to provide a level of care that I was comfortable with. When it was time to say goodbye to my pet, I know we did everything for her that was within reason. I was always offered a range of treatment options, and they respected my decisions about how aggressive to treat her disease. Weve since rescued an older pup from an abusive situation. Shes received the same great care weve become accustomed to with our other dogs. Ive recommended family and friends to try this clinic for their pets. Everyone Ive recommended has been very pleased.

I am so upset with this clinic. The staff only cares about their fees and not your pet. We brought our dog in with a bladder problem and they misdiagnosed the condition after we were charged close to $400 in fees. A week later, they said we needed surgery which would cost anywhere between $1,300 to $2,000. We wound up going to a vet down the street in Rochester which charged half their rate. To top it off, after we had paid $250 for an x-ray they had the nerve to charge us another $28 for the x-ray to bring it to the new vet. The woman vet had no bed side manners - her only concern was how much she was going to make - she could have cared less about our dog. There should be a law against charging outrageous fees and they need to go back to school to learn a little compassion. Go anywhere else but here - your pet will thank you for it!

THERES NEW OWNERSHIP! Dr. Pytel purchased this clinic in Oct. 2011. I was a walk-in and they treated me very kindly. My cat got sick overnight and I thought itd be an easy fix, it turned out she had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure and we had to put her down. It was very stressful and a very difficult decision, but Dr. Pytel and his assistant Jim gave us several options for possible treatments and several options to run tests to fit our budget. They were VERY compassionate, very kind and very helpful. Jim even brought me tissues when he heard me crying from the other room and spent extra time on the phone with me when I called later with concerns. They went above and beyond their duties and have earned my trust and loyalty.

Very pleased with the care my dog has gotten over the years from Dr. Pytel and all the veterinary staff at the Meadowbrook Animal Clinic. My dog recently passed and I wont be ready to take on the responsibility of owning another dog or the emotional strain of owning an older dog for a long time. But when I do, I will be sure to bring my next pet to the Meadowbrook Animal Clinic for his/her check-ups etc. Thank you for all of your hard work and compassion.

The staff is wonderful and caring, and Dr. Paytel is by far the best veterinarian we have ever had. His genuine love for the animals is obvious, and he has a fantastic "bedside manner" - both toward his furry patients and their owners. Compassionate, kind and explains things thoroughly. He takes time with his patients, and makes you feel that you are the most important - and only - patient of the day. Cant recommend him more highly.

Im from out of town, but my parents live nearby so Ive been here a few times when I have my cat with me and he needs a checkup, dental work, or vaccinations. Both the staff and Dr. Pytel are friendly. Dr. Pytel takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions and genuinely expresses concern for the wellness of my pet. The prices are fair and I havent felt like Ive been charged for or pushed towards unnecessary services.

I called the office with minor emergency with my bosss dog that I was taking care of. It was on a Saturday and an hour and a half before they closed for the day. They got me right in and took care of the little dogs problem and explained things very well. They were very accommodating and very nice to her and to me. I thought the fees were quite reasonable too. I would highly recommend Dr. Pytel and his staff.

I liked my first visit because they were honest. My second visit included a $38 "comprehensive wellness exam" which included feeling my dogs stomach for a total of 30 seconds, then left the room equivalent to $136,800 an hour? I only noticed this after signing a bill then getting a print out of each line-item, post signature. Completely dishonest
