My family was switching dentists, and tried their office. Myself, my sister, and my dad were all told we had 8, 7 and 6 cavities, and required thousands of dollars of work done. (although, keep in mind, none of us had a single cavity 6 months prior) They kept trying to up-sell me one of their $200 electric toothbrushs (even though I told them I already have one), $40 toothpaste (which, if I didnt use, I WOULD get cavities) and kept trying to fix my bite line and get me to get all sorts of cosmetic dental work (which, I have a perfectly normal smile). They went through my teeth and said a bunch of dental terms to each other, then told me it was nice to meet me, and sent me to the front desk. Not explaining one thing. So I thought all was fine - until the front desk asked when I wanted to schedule my cavity fillings... What?!? They had to bring the dentist back up to go over what just happened. It was SO unprofessional and strange. But apparently had 7 cavities? I decided to ignore their advise all together, and saw a different dentist 6 months later - one cavity, and Im getting a couple of sealants. Which basically confirmed my suspicion of this place.. If you have a lot of money, and enjoy getting extra work done that is not needed - go here. Otherwise, dont waste your time or money.

An exceptional experience, as always. I was called back at the scheduled time for my procedure. Dr. Jelineks assistant took molds and scans for my new crown immediately. Dr. Jelinek did quick work in my mouth; he is sensitive to patient needs and checked in with me often. After he was done with crown prep, the assistant took additional molds and scans, put in the temporary crown and sent me on my way. In the past when I had a root canal, Dr. Jelinek called me later in the day to make sure I was doing well. The office staff is professional and efficient; they have always been right on with insurance calculatons. I really dont know how a dentist could run a better office; it is the best professional group I have ever encountered in my many years of going to doctors of all types.

I"ve been to quite a few dentists in my time. But it doesnt take long to figure out Dr Jelinek is really awesome! He has a great ability to put you at ease in the dental chair and actually make it not only bearable but fun and painfree! Not only painfree, but ive been to other painfree dentists that do shoddy work.. Dr Jelineks work is top quality and he cares that he gets it right for you and understands you have to live with your teeth everyday. My kids also love him, he is just all around a cool dentist to go to! :) the gals are very helpful always. and if for some reason, Dr J is out, well he has a totally competant team of partners you dont have to worry with either.

Maria Palmers recount of her experience is absolute hogwash! I have been going to York Dental for 7 years and have never once experienced "upselling" of any kind. I am the one who asked about the Oral B sonic toothbrush, and bought one on my own accord, not from any staff pushing it on me. And it wasnt even close to $200, it was $99 which was cheaper than the local retail stores even. Also, I hadnt been to a dentist in the 8 years prior to going to York. I had 3 small cavities after all that time. Yorks staff and Dr Jelinek are nothing short of the some of the most professional, personable and proficient dental health professionals you can find. I HIGHLY recommend them!

The dentist recommended me to replace my bridge for a better appearance. I followed her advice, but I never imagine that it was going to be such a horrible experience. At the 5th visit (for a fit) the Dr. told me that I needed to schedule another appointment for a root canal. I was speechless, because at the first visit I asked if this was going to happen, and the answered was NO. At the 6th visit for the root canal, I express my concerns about the fit of the bridge, and I was told "you just need to get use to it". Immediately, I requested my records and received somebody else X-Rays. I am very shock by their practice.

I had a similar experience to Maria. I was a new patient, in for a 6 month cleaning, the dentist came in for about 5 minutes said some words to the hygentist and left. It was then explained to me that I needed 9 fillings. I had just been to my old dentist 7 months prior with no mention of these things! The front desk informed me it would be over $1000 for all this work after insurance. Needless to say I am getting a second opinion. I am very turned off by this practice!

I had an infection so i had to go in and when i got there they told me i needed things werent needed and they charged me so much. I went to another place for a 2nd opinion and they said something way different and are actially going to fix things the right way if i stayed at york dental i probably would of gotten worse and would have had to go back and they also charged me money for cancelling my appointment

I am not one to visit the dentist unless I absolutely need to. Im probably one of the least preferred patients theyd like to see walk in their door. However, when I do, the entire staff is wonderful, the facility is top notch, and they work with me in such a great manner that I have nothing but high marks for York Dental. I highly recommend this dental facility to anyone.

York Dental is my top place for dental care. I always receive reliable, quick, and quality service. I converted my wife over from another area dentist and she is now a big fan of York Dental. The work they perform is only of the highest quality, no short cuts or cheap dental substitutes. They work great with insurance too and provide accurate estimates.

Going to the dentist has been something that I have always feared. Until a few years ago, I would rarely ever go in. My first ever visit was to York for a couple of pesky wisdom teeth and Dr. Silva alleviated all of my fears. Since then, I have consistently enjoyed every visit, even the not so fun ones. The entire staff was wonderful - didnt rush my questions, offered a couple treatment plans and ideas and assisted me in making decisions for my health.
