I am a first time cat owner and I took my kitten here after reading the reviews on Google. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I had taken my cat to a different vet, one who was also well known for not pushing prices and caring for animals., when she was much younger and had coccidia. There I did not have as good of an experience as I did here as that vet practically made me feel like my tiny 10 week old kitten was going to die. The first thing that drew me in was the price (I called about ten or so vet clinics in the area with similar high reviews). Tlc Cat Clinic charges 50 dollars for the visit which includes if you get a vaccination that day. Since I was going in to see what vaccinations my kitten Nyra would need, this was perfect and cheeper than any other place I could find and call, spare Banfield Pet hospital which had a coupon for a free exam and consultation. (however this place had awful reviews) The second thing was the wonderful reviews and the third reason is the fact that they only care for cats which typically means the vet is an expert in cats (she definitely was). The reasons I would come back are numerous. They include the three reasons I mentioned above but I would also come back because it was a wonderful experience for both my cat and I. They made my cat feel as comfortable as she could while a needle was being poked in her back by offering her some wet food treats and also had a play area for cats in the lobby for when she was done with her appointment. After the appointment was over they gave my cat a new toy which she absolutely loves. The vet also told me everything I could do for my cat and the prices associated with it. She also told me the things she would personally do for her cat and then let me think about it and make the decision! (some vets will do things for your cat and you without discussing price or ask if you want it at all and then you are stuck with a giant vet bill) At the end of the appointment she asked me if I had any questions and answered all of them for me (I had a lot). This vet is low priced, friendly, caring, and will do absolutely anything to make you and your cat feel comfortable and never as if you are running out of your appointment time or feel like you are not providing the best care you can for your cat! Amazing. Reasons I would recommend Tlc Cat Clinic to any cat owner ~ great prices ~ experts in cats ~ make your cat feel comfortable at the vet and give them a free toy after the first visit ~ lets you make informed decisions on your pets care (for additional information, I am a graduate student with very little money and my cat is a domestic medium hair 3 month old kitten who had a wonderful visit with this vet and only slightly complained. I have also never reviewed a place because I find no reason to. My reason now is because I want to emphasize what a wonderful place this is. I left smiling)

I took my cat here just yesterday for the first time and the experience was amazing. It is a small clinic that specializes in cats, but I was a bit surprised when the only real person I interacted with was the actual Vet (usually you have to deal primarily with a Vet Technician before you get just 2 minutes with the actual Vet). She took me and my cat in and promptly went to work examining her. I brought the cat in because she was urinating blood and was doing this many times a day and was doing it all over the house. I had taken her to Banfield Pet Hospital the day before and lets just say there was a huge contrast between the two visits. Instead of just guessing at what was wrong and encouraging $900 worth of tests, TLCs Vet made a clear and concise diagnosis. She encouraged an x-ray to make sure there wasnt a bladder stone or organ problems but didnt force it down my throat like Banfield did. I went ahead with the X-ray because it was about 1/3 the cost of what Banfield wanted for the very same X-ray. Once she took the X-ray, she brought it back into the exam room and went over it with me, clearly explaining everything I was looking at. She was SUPER informative, pointing out all the different organs on the x-ray and what she thought about them. It turned out there was no bladder stone or any type of organ failure. The cat just had a urinary tract infection. The Vet prescribed an anti-biotic for UTIs and gave the cat a shot right then and there. After that, the Vet proceeded to show me, in very concise detail how to administer the rest of the prescription (they are pills) and even offered several alternative methods of giving my cat her meds. She provided me with a couple samples of prescription grade cat food to further treat the UTI as well as a free cat toy since it was my first time visiting. Because of my experience at Banfield, I wasnt anxious to see the bill after everything was said and done. Between the x-ray, anti-biotic shot, and the two prescriptions I was worried it would be an arm and a leg, but I was pleasantly surprised to the contrary. The bill ended up only being about $200!! Overall, I would highly recommend this place. The Vet was kind, caring, VERY knowledgeable, very informative and relatively cheap compared to others. I could tell that she cared about my cat and that she really knew what she was doing. She was like an encyclopedia of information about cats and was very happy to share her knowledge. I cannot say enough good things about her and the care she gave. Id give her 10 stars if I could.

I could not imagine a better place for my cat. I get a recommendation from a coworker when I moved to Minnesota. She had some health and behavior issues that no other vet even offered to help with, I thought there was nothing they could do. This vet was honest, upfront, and really wanted to help. I had a horrible time trying to pill my cat, but they kept offering different tactics until we got it. This morning my cat was acting strangely, so I called like they always encourage their patients owners to do. They were, as always, so helpful, knowledgeable, and sincere. They are very affordable. They didnt charge me on a visit because the vet said she really didnt do enough to charge me for a visit (couldnt get a certain sample). And I saw them do the same for a cat that was just too angry to be at the vet. I live out in the city now, but my cat luckily likes car rides.

Love this place overall. However, I beg to disagree with some of the advice that was given me. Such as maintaining 1-2 inches of litter. For my boys, who dont regularly cover because there is not enough litter in the box, this leads to some fighting as their pee is so evident to the other. She also instructed me to get rid of any covered boxes. Again, WRONG! My Smokey was going in the only uncovered box I have and spraying directly at the wall. I quickly got a partially covered box and that was the end of that. Also, 2-3 inches of litter seems to be the magic number in this household. So love you guys, but every situation is unique. I hope you recognize that. Your advice is not one size fits all. It needs to be tweaked to fit each household.
