There is a what Im going to call a sweet spot on the lens of your glasses where your line of sight falls when looking through them - and this is where the correction needs to be so that you see clearly and are not aware that you are wearing glasses. When the sweet spot is off, your vision can be uncomfortable and it can be hard to see - and can even cause stress because of the struggle to see out of them. Most places determine the sweet spot by putting a box on your face and then using a marker to place a dot on the plastic demo lens that are in the frames when you try them on. This is not a precise way of pin-pointing the sweet spot. I know this because I made 14 trips back to another eyewear shop trying to get my tri-focals properly fitted. Granted, my prescription is complicated, its strong, and I need to see properly at three distances, close, computer and far - but still, it was a nightmare and a frustrating waste of my time. So much so that I put off replacing those glasses until my old ones were almost useless to me. LensCrafters has digital technology that precisely determines the sweet spot and is SPOT ON. I cant say enough about this. I am just a random customer but it seems like an obvious choice, do you want someone eyeballing your glasses and putting a dot on them with a magic marker - or do you want the updated technology that does this with precision? I cringe when people tell me two weeks after getting new glasses that they are still getting used to them. This is something people are told that allows eyeglass shops to sell you sloppily fitted lenses. Would you accept a shoe salesperson telling you that you must buy the ill-fitting shoes and get used to them? Why so then with your eye glasses? My new glasses were weird for about 5 minutes until I reached my car and then I forgot I was wearing them. Thats how it should be. Oh, and I got a 40% discount which I think is a pretty standard promotion - and the cost was about the same as the pair that took me 14 return trips to get right. Food for thought...

I recently brought my severely autistic son in for new glasses and didnt have the prescription and they said they could call the clinic and get it, but the clinic was closed. So when I came back the next day there was a miss-communication and the call was not made. So, Katie (the sales clerk) said she could take my sons measurements and I wouldnt have to bring him back and could do everything else over the phone. Much to my surprise when I got a call saying because of the miss-communication that they were giving us 50% off the frames and not only that they went ahead and got the glasses ready before I had even made the payment. I expressed my thanks and told them how hard it is to bring him into their store. They acknowledged that they could see how hard it was. Thank you so much LENSCRAFTERS!!

I went to Lenscrafters in Roseville today, April 7, 2016, hoping to get either new lenses or complete glasses. I ended up purchasing the glasses as it was about the same price as just the lenses. I had shopped a bit, and frankly, everyone really charges about the same. The service was just perfect. They were busy and the manager of the lense shop waited on me. A couple of hours later I picked up the glasses and they were easily adjusted to fit properly. I probably did not spend more than about twenty minutes from start to finish on the project. Sorry for not being able to mention the people that gave the great service today, but know that they were both appreciated. You have my business going forward.

Overpriced named brands like polo and whatever else type of crap they try and fling at you. Thats not even the start of the bullcrap either. For high index, they want a wopping $400. Is this place $<"(ing serious. I never swear in my reviews but the ridiculous markup is just that, $<"(ing ridiculous. The only reason i gave them an extra star is because you can get your glasses the same day. Dont expect the quality of that conveniance to be good though. I walked right out the door when hearing the ridiculous prices. I remember when lenscrafters was actually good but that was 20 years ago, or so. Final words: this place sucks.

Doctor was fine, but my daughter got contact lenses for the first time and they wrote a prescription that could only be filled through them (and of course, they were some of the most expensive ones on the market). We went to another optometrist for this years exam and they gave us three options of where we could get our contacts (all at least 33% cheaper than what LensCrafters boxed us into). Summary - doctor was fine but request a prescription that could be filled outside of their shop.

I am not impressed with their pricing at all. I needed glasses and thank goodness I have eye care otherwise I wouldnt have stepped foot in that store. $400 for frames? Ridiculous! Staff was ok. But, the woman helping never explained pricing to me. So I feel like I got ripped off. She made the sale but never once explained why the polarized lenses are better. She just said they would thin them out. But, I dont have terrible eye sight and hardly a stigmatism. Should have gone to Shopko.

They will take any opportunity to gather personal information for.. what purpose? NO actual questions about vision or the reason for your visit on the intake form or from the staff. If you ask any questions they look at you like a terrorist.. and cannot or will not give an informed answer or any details whatsoever. They just repeat things like "its just better, thats all." Really all they are doing is hardcore upselling. They may as well be selling insurance.

Not sure how LensCrafters Corporate operates, They advertise frames and styles on their website- I go into the store to try them on- they dont have the- ok no problem, can you order some for me and I will come back when you get them in? No, LensCrafters sends us frames based on our sales records, if we dont have them in store we dont have them and we cant order them. Then why do you advertise them? Waste of time.

Received wrong prescription by their Optometrist. Told me to try it for a few weeks to adjust. Came in again, they adjusted the lenses and told me to wait a few weeks. Come back with a different (correct) prescription from a different doctor; told me I was past their 60 day warranty but they could resell me the correct prescription for $209. I have a pair of $300+ glasses I cannot use.

Dont schedule online. It doesnt work. Scheduled for 11:15, on my only day off, and they had no record of me. No availability at all, according to the receptionist, and no effort was made to accommodate an appointment, just insincere apologies. I checked their website when I got outside and it said there were apts open. Get it together!
