Dr. Bloom is one of the only pediatric dermatologists within reasonable distance from where I live. I wanted my son treated by someone who specializes in in young children since my son has been treated since 3 months of age. We recieved appointments right away and got all the help we needed to get the treatments covered by our HMO. My son has a port-wine stain that covers half of his face and many doctors have been involved in his care due to specific location and size of the birthmark. With Dr. Bloom, my son has been treated like a person not a number. When I call for appointments and when I speak to Dr. Bloom he remembers me, my child, why we are being seen, and how he can best serve us. A year has past since treatment has begun and the results so far are amazing! My sons birthmark has significantly improved and further treatment should yield similar results with the goal being almost full resolution. Im am grateful that thanks to Dr. Bloom my child will lead a normal life once treatment is complete rather than face the social/emotional and physical consequences that lack of treatment would have resulted in. I know as a parent how stressful a situation like this one can be and all the worry and trust involved when putting your childs care in the hands of another, but I am very pleased with the results. It is never easy having a young child undergo surgeries as an infant, but it is what was best for him and the results are speaking for themselves.

Dr. Bloom is outstanding and competent dermatologist which is why we go to go doctors to begin with. My experience with him on multiple occasions was extremely positive. I have three sons. He helped two of my sons with large warts on their feet and one son with a growth in his ear. He also helped me with a mole that lab results later showed to be questionable. He also removed a mole from one of son’s back which labs results later also showed such removal to be a smart idea. I would highly recommend him as a dermatologist. I never had doctor show willingness to spend so much time with his patients when needed. The treatment for the warts on my son’s feet used shots which worked like a champ. I was unable to resolve this problem on my son’s feet with other multiple doctor visits elsewhere. He is clearly focused on results and is obviously very intelligent, experienced, and good at what he does.

Save your time, worries and money and go elsewhere. We were referred to Dr. Bloom because it was the only place our doc felt our child could be seen quickly -- that should have been a red flag. There is a reason this clinic has openings...I doubt any parent would go back twice! Dr. Bloom wasnt willing to listen to our concerns/reason for the visit, ordered tests on our child that caused unnecessary worry and then failed miserably when trying to explain why/what the tests/hypotheses he had regarding our childs health were. He lacked emotion/compassion when addressing our concerns and his tone/demeanor were extremely rude. We will not be going back to Dr. Bloom - our dermatological needs and money are going elsewhere. I would not recommend this clinic/Dr. Bloom to any parent.

I went to see Dr. Bloom for acne. He was very thorough in explaining treatments, what works and what does not work which I appreciate very much. Then I mentioned to him that my periods were irregular and I have never had an issue like this before and I was scared. He went out of his way to find an OBGYN near by and made an appointment for me. It turns out, there was something possibly serious going on and if it werent for him I wouldnt have caught that. I am very thankful to him and I am glad I saw him.
