A little over a year ago I brought my cat, Sophie, to the Animal Hospital because she was having issues with her mouth. The regular vet was out and an elderly gentleman assisted us instead. I informed him that I could tell Sophie had some pain in her mouth. He opened her cat carrier and yanked her out by her scruff. He then proceeded to hold her down by the scruff and yank her mouth open. He did NOT even look in her mouth. He simple took the PEN FROM HIS COAT and pushed it down on her gums. My mild mannered and sweet kitten hissed in pain and thrashed. I stared in shock as he jammed her back into her carrier. The vet, and I use that term loosely, then walked over to me and hugged me. He proceeded to say Sophie had stomatitis and I should take the next couple of weeks to find a space in my back yard to bury her. I was a crying mess. Completely devastated. Thank goodness I took her to Best Friends and got a second opinion. Sophie is a happy, healthy cat who plays with her toys, eats hard and soft food, and takes medication when she needs it. I chose to write this review a year after the incident to prove a point. Animal Hospital tried to kill my cat before her time. Animal parents beware. I will never go back to this horrible place. If I could give you a zero star ranking, I would.

I have taken my dog to Dr. Lane for over five yrs the Staff and Doctors are Dedicated, Compassionate and not in it, for just the money. The Staff and Dr. Lane have love for our loved ones, not very many people like that anymore. Today i had an emergency, I took my dog to Dr. Lane he was there within 5 mins and my dogs life was saved because of his carring soul, Its truely a miracle, and this isnt the first time when my dog was a puppy he was born with deformed legs and when i found out, no one in this town carred to help and i finally lost hope i walked into the Animal hospital where I met with Dr. Lane and at last there was hope, my dog runs like the wind, the Animal hospital goes on and beyond the call of a Veterinary Hospital. Thank you all

My first visit at Animal Hospital felt like Id been going there for years. I took my moms cat in to see Dr. Broyles and he was so wonderfully fantastic. Our kitty took right to him, and she never does that! He was very caring & sympathetic and put our kittys health first at a very affordable cost. I will be bringing my own pets here for care, too. Being new to Billings, I was worried about finding a new vet after having the same vet for 20 years. I no longer have to worry! I will definitely recommend Animal Hospital and am so happy to have found the perfect place for our fur babies.

Our dog, Sam, passed away on July 31, 2015. She was a German Shepherd/Border Collie mix and was 17 years old when she passed. If not for the extremely good advice and care of Dr Lain and his staff, I doubt she would have lived so long and had such a good life. He taught us about, and got us started on, preventative care early in her life so that when she did have a problem (dysplasia), it came much later in her life, it was manageable and she was not in any major discomfort.

Dr. Lane and his staff are truly good and compassionate people. I have been treated with the utmost kindness and respect from all there, having lost 2 fur babies last year. As I schedule appointments for the new generation, I am comforted knowing they will take care of my fur family, and advise me how to do the best for them. Being a fur baby parent, I appreciate the kindness they have shown my animals, and their humans.

I recommend them to all my friends and family who get new pets and need a vet. The prices are good and they treat you well & treat your animals even better. Since their remodel I love their facility. Dr. Lain & his staff spoke to my dogs in the same manner that I do - with affection. I can tell my dogs like him and so do I. If you want someone who explains procedures, medications and make recommendations to you on how to give your pets the best care, then this is the place.
